PCB supporter designed safely at the base frame and each model can be separable. it completed the neodium magnet for the fixing of the upper part laser transmission hole of the both. One of the development, the cutting working with one base frame which PCB component of various standard, fixing of module and bridge connected to PCB component could be possible. and it reduced the inconvenience which has to replace the base frame and PCB sheet fixed member. It compared to other press up about 70% of accuracy and a reduction in investment cost was about 400%.
Stay cables in some cable-stayed bridges suffer large amplitude vibrations under the simultaneous occurrence of rain and wind. This phenomenon is called rain-wind-induced vibration (RWIV). The upper rivulet oscillating circumferentially on the inclined cable surface plays an important role in this phenomenon. However, its small size and high sensitivity to wind flow make measuring rivulet size and its movement challenging. Moreover, the distribution of the rivulet along the entire cable has not been measured. This paper applies the videogrammetric technique to measure the movement and geometry dimension of the upper rivulet along the entire cable during RWIV. A cable model is tested in an open-jet wind tunnel with artificial rain. RWIV is successfully reproduced. Only one digital video camera is employed and installed on the cable during the experiment. The camera records video clips of the upper rivulet and cable movements. The video clips are then transferred into a series of images, from which the positions of the cable and the upper rivulet at each time instant are identified by image processing. The thickness of the upper rivulet is also estimated. The oscillation amplitude, equilibrium position, and dominant frequency of the rivulet are presented. The relationship between cable and rivulet variations is also investigated. Results demonstrate that this non-contact, non-intrusive measurement method has good resolution and is cost effective.

In this research, static load test is performed to verify the arch effect and structural performance of CFTA(Concrete-Filled and Tied steel tubular Arch) girder, and FE(Finite Element) analysis is performed to investigate validity of the test result. CFTA girder is designed to maximize the benefit of each material, such as steel plate, filled concrete and PS tendon. Static load test is performed based on the frame-analysis result of 12m sample miniature model. The result of static load test is that structural performance and safety of CFTA girder are confirmed and there is different deflection mode with other structural form result from arch effect. FE analysis with ABAQUS is also performed to show the validity of the truck collision safety and static load test.

Marine accidents caused by ships are very diverse, such as collision, sinking, stranding, grounding and fire. In particular, persons on passenger ship are unspecified and not trained, so it makes evacuation harder. For this reason, an evacuation plan that considers diverse situation in ship is needed. Effective evacuation planning requires training in consideration of various evacuation situations. In this paper, we investigated the time elapsed on evacuation in various situations from "HANMIR," the fishery training ship of the Korean Institute of Maritime and Fisheries Technology, using a Ship Evacuation Analysis Program (SEA-Pro) which is introduced to the society. We assumed a situation that has not only inconveniences for real training but also the possibilities of happening. Not all trainees are resting in their cabin, so we assumed positions such as they are in the bridge or engine room and applied fire and flooding situations. We assumed that the time for alerting the situation would be short, so we applied only elapsed time of movement. Those analyses could be helpful in three ways. The first is predicting the consequence of possible accidents. There are some conditions that can be appliable to this model, such as the decreased area of sight in those situations. The second is concluding the optimal limit of carriage and placement of safety instruments on building a new ship. The third is to be a base data for ships to make a new effective evacuation plan based on these analyses.
In this study, the characteristics of bed elevation changes of the Nakdong River when weir gates are opened were analyzed using the Hydrologic Engineering Center-River Analysis System (HEC-RAS). The study area was 292.37 km downstream of the Gudam Bridge to the Nakdong estuary of the Nakdong River. The HEC-RAS program, which is a 1D numerical analysis model, was used to simulate bed elevation changes. Simulations were conducted under two scenarios from 2017 to 2019. Scenarios 1 and 2 were devised under the conditions of a fully opened gate and during gate installation, respectively. Results confirmed that, under the conditions of Scenario 1, deposition occurred in most sections from the Hapcheon-Changnyeong weir to the Changnyeong-Haman weir (a distance of approximately 40 km). In addition, it was predicted that the flow that included sediments in the main stream of the Nakdong River was not interrupted by the weir structure and regularly produced changes in the river bed.
To study the working mechanism and size effect of an innovative dovetail UHPC joint originated from the 5th Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge, a large-scale testing subject to negative bending moment was conducted and compared with the previous scaled specimens. The static responses, i.e., the crack pattern, failure mode, ductility and stiffness degradation were analyzed. It was found that the scaled specimens presented similar working stages and working mechanism with the large-scale ones. However, the post-cracking ductility and relative stiffness degradation all decrease with the enlarged length/scale, apart from the relative stiffness after flexural cracking. The slab stiffness at the flexural cracking stage is 90% of the initial stiffness while only 24% of the initial stiffness reserved in the ultimate stage. Finite element model (FEM) was established and compared with the experiments to verify its effectiveness in exploring the working mechanism of the innovative joint. Based on this effective method, a series of FEMs were established to further study the influence of material strength, pre-stressing level and ratio of reinforcement on its deflection-load relationship. It is found that the ratio of reinforcement can significantly improve its load-carrying capacity among the three major-influenced factors.
Cofferdams made of teel sheet piles are commonly utilized as support structures for excavation of sea-crossing bridge foundations. As cofferdams are often subject to tide variation, it is imperative to consider potential effects of tide on stability and serviceability of sheet piles, particularly, ultralong steel sheet piles (USSPs). In this study, a real USSP cofferdam constructed using new construction technology in Nanxi River was reported. The design of key parts of USSP cofferdam in the presence of tidal action was first introduced followed by the description of entire construction technology and associated monitoring results. Subsequently, a three-dimensional finite-element model corresponding to all construction steps was established to back-analyze measured deflection of USSPs. Finally, a series of parametric studies was carried out to investigate effects of tide level, soil parameters, support stiffness and construction sequence on lateral deflection of USSPs. Monitoring results indicate that the maximum deflection during construction occurred near the riverbed. In addition, measured stress of USSPs showed that stability of USSP cofferdam strengthened as construction stages proceeded. Moreover, the numerical back-analysis demonstrated that the USSP cofferdam fulfilled the safety requirements for construction under tidal action. The maximum deflection of USSPs subject to high tide was only 13.57 mm at a depth of -4 m. Sensitivity analyses results showed that the design of USSP cofferdam system must be further improved for construction in cohesionless soils. Furthermore, the 5th strut level before concreting played an indispensable role in controlling lateral deflection of USSPs. It was also observed that pumping out water before concreting base slab could greatly simplify and benefit construction program. On the other hand, the simplification in construction procedures could induce seepage inside the cofferdam, which additionally increased the deflection of USSPs by 10 mm on average.

Data-driven structural health monitoring (SHM) of civil infrastructure can be used to continuously assess the state of a structure, allowing preemptive safety measures to be carried out. Long-term monitoring of large-scale civil infrastructure often involves data-collection using a network of numerous sensors of various types. Malfunctioning sensors in the network are common, which can disrupt the condition assessment and even lead to false-negative indications of damage. The overwhelming size of the data collected renders manual approaches to ensure data quality intractable. The task of detecting and classifying an anomaly in the raw data is non-trivial. We propose an approach to automate this task, improving upon the previously developed technique of image-based pre-processing on one-dimensional (1D) data by enriching the features of the neural network input data with multiple channels. In particular, feature engineering is employed to convert the measured time histories into a 3-channel image comprised of (i) the time history, (ii) the spectrogram, and (iii) the probability density function representation of the signal. To demonstrate this approach, a CNN model is designed and trained on a dataset consisting of acceleration records of sensors installed on a long-span bridge, with the goal of fault detection and classification. The effect of imbalance in anomaly patterns observed is studied to better account for unseen test cases. The proposed framework achieves high overall accuracy and recall even when tested on an unseen dataset that is much larger than the samples used for training, offering a viable solution for implementation on full-scale structures where limited labeled-training data is available.

The TMD has a simple structure than other vibration control devices and shows excellent control performance for the simple harmonic vibration generated in the structure. However, the vibration control range is narrower than other control devices, making it vulnerable to vibration cycles caused by unexpected external loads. The ETMD developed in this study consisted of Mass with electromagnets. Therefore when supplying a current, the magnetic field is formed to increase the friction force with the friction plate, thereby instantaneously controlling the behavior of the Mass. The experiment was conducted to compare the control performance of the control device by installing the ETMD developed for control performance evaluation in the center of the model simple beam bridge to forced excitation at 3.02 Hz where the maximum bending displacement occurs. As a result of the experiment, ETMD exhibited excellent control performance with a maximum bending displacement attenuation rate of 57.51%.
Modern marine navigation requires officers on the bridge to monitor a torrent of data on both the insides and outsides of the ship from numerous useful devices. But despite these tools, navigators can still find it difficult to make a safe decision for two reasons: one is that too much data if provided too quickly tends to cause fatigue and overwhelm the officer, and the other is that any inconsistency across data from several different types of devices can lead to confusion. Indeed, the fact remains that the many marine accidents can be attributed to human error, and hence there is a strong need for decision-support tools for marine navigation. One technique of providing decision support is through the use of simulation to evaluate or predict system dynamics over time using an accurate model. This paper, as a simulation method for risk prediction for a navigation safety information system of ship, suggests a navigation prediction simulation system using various knowledge bases and discrete event simulation methodology, and supports the validity of the system through the examples of components in a restricted navigation situation scenario.
