A Hybrid Control Scheme of Asymmetrical Half Bridge Converter with Low Stresses of the Diodes (낮은 다이오드 스트레스를 갖는 비대칭 하프 브리지 컨버터의 하이브리드 제어기법)

  • This paper presents a new hybrid control method of asymmetrical half-bridge converter (AHBC) with low voltage stresses of the diodes. The proposed new control scheme can observe variation of secondary diode voltage stresses by using feedback of the input voltage and then decide the control portions, which are symmetrical control and asymmetrical control. Therefore, the proposed control scheme has many advantages such as a low rated voltage of the secondary diodes and low conduction loss according to the low voltage drop. The principle of the proposed control scheme is explained in detail and its validity is verifiedthrough simulated and experimental results

  • In most railway vehicle applications, a single phase AC/DC converter is used greatly and is essential equipment for Korea High Speed Train. A diode bridge rectifier and a phase-controlled thyristor bridge rectifier generate harmonics in power system. Nowadays, power factor and harmonics become major issue in electrical equipment for railway vehicle. Many researchers have been trying to improve the power factor and ac-side harmonics. Therefore the PWM converter is used to operate at unity Power factor and to reduce ac-side current harmonics. This paper describes the circuit for AC/DC PWM converter of Korea High Speed Train and proposes control algorithm to realize the sinusolidal input current waveform and the effective unity power factor. The validity of the proposed control method is verified through the experimental result.

  • In this paper, the switching frequency and THD for the reduction instead of traditional single phase inverter using a new type of central arm of the single phase inverter is proposed. The proposed single phase inverter topology, the existing one to add a arm by two-way central switch 3-level output voltage can be raised and, central arm, especially one or two of the switches by using a switch to the diode current switching algorithm was simplified. During the dead time because of this, depending on the direction of the current level does not appear in any other existing level compared to the inverter output voltage level of the THD has the advantage that less can be. The simulation and experimental results verified the validity of the proposed topology.

  • A novel zero voltage and zero current switching (ZVZCS) full bridge (FB) PWM converter is proposed. The new converter improves the drawbacks of the previously proposed ZVZCS FB PWM converters [1-5]. A simple auxiliary circuit with neither lossy components nor active switches achieves ZVZCS of the primary switches. Since the proposed converter has many advantages such as simple auxiliary circuit, high efficiency, and low voltage stress of the rectifier diode, it is very attractive for the high power applications. The principles of operation and design considerations are presented. The experimental verifications from 2.5kW prototype converter operating at 70kHz are presented.

  • This paper is indicating the problems, which are the conduction loss on the high frequency transformer, the protection of rectification diode as the snubber loss and the stress of switching main devices, as be made high current and high speed in the phase-shift switching full-bridge DC-DC converter is used the power supply's main circuit of high capacity. In this paper, to improve those problems, it is proposed that is the resonant circuit auxiliary can be reduced conduction losses and stabilized output control. And, it is constructed prototype of the power supply as the result of computer simulations.

  • A hybrid converter for the on-board charger consisting of a soft switching full bridge (SSFB) and a half bridge (HB) LLC resonant converter is proposed. The proposed topology adopts an additional switch and a diode at the secondary side of SSFB converter to guarantee the wide ZVS range of primary side switches and to eliminate the circulating current. The output voltage is regulated by controlling the duty cycle of secondary side switch. The effectiveness of the proposed converter was experimentally verified using a 10-kW prototype circuit. The experimental results show 96.8% peak efficiency.

  • This paper presents a new hybrid control method of asymmetrical half-bridge converter(AHBC) with low voltage stresses of the diodes and interleaved PFC(power factor correction). The proposed new control scheme can observe variation of secondary diodes voltage stresses by variation of duty ratio and then decide the control portions which are asymmetrical control and PFM(Pulse Frequency Modulation). Therefore, the proposed control scheme has many advantages such as a low rated voltage of the secondary diodes, low conduction loss according to the low voltage drop and wide zvs range by load variation. Through simulation results, the validity of the proposed control scheme is demonstrated.

  • In this paper, zero voltage switched half bridge converter and an active-clamped, zero voltage switched forward converter equipped with self-driven synchronous rectifier is designed and investigated for high efficiency BC-DC converter. A synchronous rectifier is has a lower conduction power loss than shottky diode rectifier. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the effect of parasitic inductance in a synchronous rectifier of DC-DC converters and examine overall efficiency of zero voltage switched DC-DC converters.

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티레벨 인버터의 토폴로지로서 H-bridge 토폴로지를 기본으로 하여 2개의 전력용 스위치와 2개의 diode를 DC 링크에 연결한 변형된 구조를 제안한다. 제안된 방식은 계통 연계형 단상 멀티레벨 인버터로서 기존의 단상 인버터에 비하여 출력전압 파형이 정현파에 가깝고, 고압 대용량 시스템용 멀티레벨 인버터로의 확장도 용이할 뿐만 아니라 cascade연결을 통하여 간단히 전압레벨을 확장 할 수 있다는 장점을 가진다. 제안된 토폴로지의 타당성은 실험을 통하여 검증하였다.
