A Study on the Mechanical Change of Emulsion-Treated Hair by Color

  • With the increasing interest in the expression of individuality and appearance of modern people, it is time to conduct research and development of novel hair coloring from various angles. Therefore, taking into account the order of discoloration of hair pigments, we selected a creative and novel emulsion as a novel material for hair coloring, rather than a cosmetic material such as hot water extract using natural products dealt with in previous studies, commercially available hair manicure, and oxidation hair dye for hair. Thus, the change in tensile strength and elongation of hair samples by color was studied. As a result of the study, hair with green emulsion paint had a significantly higher maximum load, maximum stress, maximum elongation and breaking load, breaking stress, breaking elongation values are shown. Maximum in terms of modulus, green emulsion applied hair and the control group were higher in the 0-15s strain and 15-145s sections, respectively, and the tangential modulus value was much higher in the control group than the experimental group hairs in all the 0-145s sections. This study, which analyzes the dynamic changes of hair samples that extend the daily color gamut, will greatly contribute to the development of innovative hair coloring materials in the research and production of hair beauty works, and it is judged that it will also contribute to the development of the beauty industry.

Elimination of the effect of strain gradient from concrete compressive strength test results

  • Poor strength test results are sometimes not an indication of low concrete quality, but rather inferior testing quality. In a compression test, the strain distribution over the ends of the specimen is a critical factor for the test results. Non-uniform straining of a concrete specimen leads to locally different compressive stresses on the cross-section, and eventual premature breaking of the specimen. Its effect on a specimen can be quantified by comparing the compressive strength results of two specimens, one subjected to uniform strain and another to a specified strain gradient. This can be done with the help of a function that relates two parameters, the strain ratio and the test efficiency. Such a function depends on the concrete strength and cross-sectional shape of the specimen. In this study, theoretical relationships between the strain ratio and test efficiency are developed using a concrete stress-strain model. The results show that for the same strain ratio, the test efficiency is larger for normal strength concrete than for high strength concrete. Further, the effect of the strain gradient on the test result depends on the cross-sectional shape of the specimen. Implementation of the results is demonstrated with the aid of two examples.

대왕 오징어 연제품의 Texture에 영향을 미치는 전분의 종류 (Textural Properties of Jumbo Squid Kamaboko as Affected by Edible Starches)

  • 감자, 옥수수, 소맥전분들의 혼합비에 따른 오징어 연제품의 보수력을 측정한 결과 혼합비를 증가시킬수록 옥수수전분의 경우 $10{\%}$ 첨가될 때까지 계속 보수능이 증가되다 그 이후 일정하게 유지되는 경향을 나타내었다. 이러한 경향은 소맥전분과 유사하였으나 감자 전분과는 다소 차이를 나타내었다. 즉, 감자 전분의 경우는 거의 전분함량이 늘어날수록 1차반응에 준하여 증가하다가 $15{\%}$ 첨가시에 최고의 보수력을 유함을 볼 수 있는데, 이는 감자전분이 보다 높은 함수율을 지니고 있음을 간접 시사하고 있었다. Breaking stress는 전분의 함량이 증가할수록 증가하는 경향이었으나, breaking strain의 경우는 모두 전분을 첨가할수록 감소하는 경향을 나타내었다. 즉, 소맥전분은 $10{\%}$ 첨가구간에서는 거의 대조구와 같은 strain값을 유지함을 볼 수 있었다. 이러한 결과에서 겔의 물성적인 측면을 고려한다면 소맥전분을 사용하여 연제품의 강도와 부드러움 즉 elastic한 겔을 획득할 수 있음을 예측가능 하게 한다. 대형오징어의 물성치를 texture map에 적용시켜보면, 옥수수 전분은 전분함량을 증가시킬수록 tough 해지면서 brittle 해지는 경향이었고, 감자전분의 경우 전체적으로 부서지거나 단단한 겔을 형성하기보다 보수력이 높은 탄력적인 겔을 형성할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 한편 소맥전분의 경우 옥수수와 감자전분의 기능을 혼합한 것 같은 결과를 나타내었다. 전분 혼합비에 따른 색차의 변화를 조사한 결과 대체로 전분의 함량이 늘어나더러도 명도는 거의 변화가 없음을 보이고 있었는데, 이것은 겔안의 전분함량이 색차에는 기여하는바가 적음을 알 수 있었으며, 백색도의 경우 전분함량을 늘릴수록 1차반응적으로 증가하는 경향이 었으나, 특히 소맥의 경우가 이러한 양상을 뚜렷하게 나타내었다.

용매에 따른 MWNT의 분산특성과 제조된 PU/MWNT 필름의 전기적·물리적 특성 분석 (Analysis of Electrical and Physical Property of the PU/MWNT Film and Dispersion Characteristics of MWNT According to the Solvent)

  • This paper surveys the physical properties of the MWNT dispersion solution dispersed with the three types of solvents and of the polyurethane composite film for improvement of mechanical properties and electrical characteristics of PU/MWNT composite film. For this purpose, the MWNT dispersed solution was mixed with three types of solvent such as IPA, MEK and Toluene and then mixed with polyurethane (100part) with variation of loading content (0, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 part) of MWNT dispersed solution in the ultrasonic wave dispersion apparatus. And eighteen PU/MWNT composite films were prepared as specimens. The various physical properties of these PU/MWNT films were measured and discussed with the loading content of three types of MWNT dispersed solutions. The highest absorbancy among the three types of dispersed solutions was shown in the IPA/MWNT solution. But the absorbancy of PU/MWNT films was not same as the solution. The low electrical surface and volume resistivity of PU/MWNT film were shown at the condition of 20 and 10 parts loading of IPA/MWNT dispersed solution, respectively. The low triboelectricity of PU/MWNT film was shown at the condition of above 30part loading of IPA/MWNT dispersed solution. The breaking strength and strain of PU/MWNT film prepared with IPA/MWNT dispersed solution were decreased with increasing loading content of IPA/MWNT from 10 to 40 parts. The maximum breaking strength and breaking strain according to the dispersion solution were shown on the IPA/MWNT dispersed solution. The uniform dispersion of PU/MWNT film according to the loading content of MWNT solution was shown by surface image analysis on the films dispersed with IPA.

유압식 착암기 치즐의 타격 변형량 해석에 관한 연구 (A Study On the Analysis Of Impact Strain for Hydraulic Breaker Chisel)

  • A hydraulic breaker for construction machinery generally used for the destroying and disassembling of buildings, crashing road pavement, breaking rocks at quarry and so on. So the measurement of the impact energy of a hydraulic breaker is very important thing to prove its capability to manufacturers and customers. Therefore the prediction of impact energy in design process is very helpful to the most of breaker manufacturers. In this study, we carried on modeling and simulation of a hydraulic breaker to predict impact energy via commercial CAE software. The modeling and simulation of a hydraulic breaker was achieved with two parts. One is a hydraulic circuit analysis part via AMESim and the other is impact strain analysis part via ANSYS.

아크릴산 그라프트 폴리프로필렌 부직포의 제조와 특성 (Preparation and Characterization of Acrylic Acid Grafted Polypropylene Nonwoven Fabric)

  • The purpose of this study is in development of effective filter-type polymer adsorbent for removal of pollutants from wastewater by UV irradiation graft polymerization. Photografting of acrylic acid (AA) on polypropylene (PP) nonwoven fabric using benzophenone (BP) as a photosensitizer was investigated. Inhibition of homopolymerization was achieved by adding various concentrations of $FeSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O$, $CuSO_4{\cdot}5H_2O$ and Mohr's salt. As AA concentration was increased, the degree of grafting was increased as to a specific value and then decreased, and the effect of BP concentration showed the same tendency. It was also found that the degree of grafting increased with reaction time and reaction temperature. Addition of the polyfunctional monomers and $H_2SO_4$ to the grafting system accelerated the photografting. The melting temperature, molecular weight and breaking stress and breaking strain were decreased with the increase in the degree of grafting.

  • The notched Charpy and Izod impact tests arc the most prevalent techniques used to characterize the effects of high impulse loads on ploymeric materials. An analysis method for rubber toughened PVC is suggested to evaluate critical strain energy release rates(Gc) from the Charpy impact energy measurements. An Instrumented Charpy impact tester was used to extract ancillary information concerning fracture properties in addition to total fracture properties and maximum critical loads. The stress intensity factor Kd was computed for varying amounts of rubber contents from the obtained maximum critical loads and also toughening effects were investigated as well.

  • An analysis method for rubber toughened PVC is suggested to evaluate critical dynamic strain energy release rates($G_c$) from the Charpy impact energy measurements. An instrumented Charpy impact tester was used to extract ancillary information concerning fracture parameters in addition to total fracture energies and maximum critical loads. The dynamic stress intensity factor $K_{Id}$ was computed for varying amounts of rubber contents from the obtained maximum critical loads and also toughening effects were investigated as well. The fracture surfaces produced under low velocity impact fur PVC/MBS composites were investigated by SEM. The results show that MBS rubber is very effective reinforcement material for toughening PVC.C.

쇄빙 과학조사선 선수부에 작용하는 빙하중 추정 (Estimation of Ice Load on Bow of a Icebreaking Research Vessel)

  • Ice load acting on a icebreaking research vessel is estimated. Existing measured ice loads are used to get the global load and the local load. The global load is for analyzing the bending behavior of the vessel during ice breaking operation mode and the local load for estimating the bow structural behavior. In the paper, the global load is predicted using the data from analysis of ship motion during ice breaking. And the local load is predicted using the data from strain gage attached to bow frames.

대형오징어와 명태혼합 어묵의 가열겔화시 물성에 영향을 미치는 최적 혼합비 (Optimum Rheological Mixed ratio of Jumbo Squid and Alaska Pollock Surimi for Gel Product Process)

  • 본 연구에서는 일반적으로 어묵의 원료로서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 명태연육을 이용하여 수분함량이 어육연제품의 겔강도에 미치는 영향과 남미산 대형오징어와 명태연육을 이용한 겔강도의 변화형태를 조사하기 위하여 각 수분첨가량에 따른 어묵의 겔강도를 punch test,보수력과 겔강도와의 관계를 비교하며, 색차계를 통한 L값 (명도), a값 (적색도), b값 (황색도), L-3b값 (백색도)을 평가하고 원료에 대한 최적 수분첨가량을 조사하여 현재의 수분첨가방식에서의 개선점 및 활용방안을 제시함으로서 고품질의 탄력 있는 어묵의 가공 및 원료육의 절감효과를 위한 기초자료를 제공 하고자 하였으며, 또한 혼합연육 원료에 각종 기능성 첨가물의 첨가하여 겔 강도에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위한 기초자료를 제공할 목적으로 남미산 대형오징어와 명태연육혼합육을 혼합비에 따른 배합육의 겔강도를 punch test 등을 통하져 물성변화를 검토하고, 보수력과 겔강도와의 관계를 비교하며, SDS-PAGE를 통한 cross-linking의 측정 및 색차계를 통한 L값 (명도), a값 (적색도), b값 (황색도)을 평가함으로써 전체적인 품질을 판단하여 원료의 대체효과에 대하여 그 가능성을 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 연구에 사용된 시료육의 최적 고기갈이시간을 조사하기 위하여 식염농도 $2.5\%$농도에서 오징어육의 경우 20분 고기갈이시에 미량이나마 그 값이 최고치를 나타내었으며, 명태육의 경우 변화가 거의 없었으며, $50\%$씩 혼합한 혼합육은 고기갈이 시간에 관계없이 jelly강도 값이 거의 균일하였다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고기갈이 시간을 오징어육 고기갈이 최적시간인 20분으로 설정하였다. 2. 식염농도 $2.5\%$와 고기갈이시간 20분을 기준으로 하여 혼합육의 혼합비에 따른 젤리강도의 변화를 조사한 결과 오징어육의 비율을 $20\%$까지 했을 때까지는 일정한 젤리강도의 값을 나타내다가 혼합비를 $30\%$로 늘렸을때 거의 $50\%$정도의 젤리강도 저하를 나타내었다. 3. 오징어육의 혼합비를 증가시킬수록 breaking stress는 그 값이 초기부터 감소함을 보였으며, breaking strain의 경우는 명태육과 오징어의 혼합비를 7:3으로 할 때까지는 일정한 값을 유지하였다. 4. 혼합어육의 수분거동을 알아보기 위하여 각각의 혼합비에서 수분함량을 조사한 결과 오징어의 혼합비를 늘려 갈수록 수분함량은 높게 나타났다. 오징어육의 경우 어육과 단백질간의 가교는 크게 형성하지 않는 다는 것을 알 수 있으며 이런 단백질간의 가교형성을 유도시킴이 본 연구의 앞으로 과제라고 할 수 있다. 5. 혼합어육의 혼합비에 따른 수분최적비 ($76\%$)의 실험에서 오징어육의 함량비를 증가시킬수록 breaking stress (g)와 breaking strain (cm)는 급격하게 감소하다가 서서히 완만하게 유지되는 경향을 나타내었다.
