The objective of this study is to develop the expert system for R/C box culvert design. This program provided various functions to improve automatic design. The program is composed of five steps. The characteristics of each step are as follows; 1) Preprocessing Step, 2) Analysis Step, 3) View of Memberforce Step, 4) Postprocessing Step, 5) Printing of Design-Sheet Step. Finally, Expert System and Knowledge Database System is developed for the drawing of optimal R/C box-culvert design.

The deterioration of PC box girder may cause serious effect on the durability of PC structure compared to that of RC structures. In the durability assessment of PC box girder bridges, a quantitive model on crack width is considered as a measure of durability. This study suggests a durability limit state model for PC box girder bridges. This durability limit state model in formulated based on the conventional models on the cracks in concrete. And the allowable crack width is taken as an assumed value established by the design specification or provided by the maintenance authority of the structure.

The Box-Cox power transformation is generally used for variance stabilization. Recently, Shin and Kang (2001) showed, under the Box-Cox transformation, invariant properties to the original model under the large mean and relatively small variance assumptions in time series analysis. In this paper we obtain some invariant properties in spatial statistics. Spatial statistics, Invariant Property, Variogram, Box-Cox power Transformation.

The objective of this study is to develop the CAD system for 2 cell box culvert by ultimate strength design method. C-language & AutoCAD Rl2 were used to create user-friendly computing environment. Consequently, users can easily design 2 cell box culvert under the various conditions, such as design load, total fill depth, underground water level, strength of concrete, and so forth. This system is believed to improve the efficiency and economy by the batch processing of structural analysis, quick drafting and computation of material quantity in the 2 cell box culvert design.

This article proposes the analytical and experimental approaches for the reduction of vibration generated in the gear box of an NC machine. The lateral critical speed of main spindle and torsional natural frequencies were analyzed and the impact testing of gear box was performed. These results were compared with the forced operating speeds, The vibration was much diminished by redesign of gear module and reinforcement of box structure.

The number of keystream cycle sequences has been proposed as a characteristic of binary sequence generator for cryptographic application, but in general the most of binary sequence generators have a single cycle. On the other hand, S-box has been used to block cipher for a highly nonlinear element and then we apply it to the stream cipher with a high crypto-degree. In this paper, we propose a multiple-cycle binary sequence generator based on S-box which has a high nonlinearity containing SAC property and analyze its period, linear complexity, randomness and the number of keystream cycle sequences.
