Integer Programming Approach for the Outsourcing Decision Problem in a Single Machine Scheduling Problem with Due Date Constraints (납기를 고려한 아웃소싱 일정계획문제의 정수계획을 활용한 접근법)

  • In this paper, we considers the outsourcing decision problem in a single machine scheduling problem. The decision problem is to determine for each job whether to be processed on an in-house manufacturing or external facilities(outsourcing). Moreover, this paper considers a situation where each job has a due date. The objective of the problem is to minimize the outsourcing cost, subject to the due date constraints. The considered problem is proved to be NP-hard. Some solution properties and valid inequalities are derived, and an effective lower bound is derived based on the LP-relaxation. The results of experimental tests are presented to evaluate the performance of the suggested lower bound.

  • Two kinds of sepharose-bound pronases were successfully prepared. The immobilized pronase, directly coupled to cyanogen-bromide activated sepharose, retains 22.6% of original specific activity against casein. However, ${\omega}-aminoalkyl$ sepharose immobilized pronases, in which extension arms of ${\omega}-aminoalkyl$ group $(number\;of\;-CH_2-\;is\;8,\;10,\;and\;12)$ are used, retain almost 100% of original specific activity. Studies of enzyme stability, pH dependence, temperature dependence, and Km values are presented.

  • Flavin-peptides were purified from pyranose oxidase (EC 1.1.3.10) after tryptic- chymotryptic and tryptic digestion. The spectral and chromatographic properties of these flavin peptides showed that the FAD of pyranose oxidase appears to be bound, by way of the 8${\alpha}$-methylene group, to the N-l position of the imidazole ring of the histidine. Automated sequence analysis showed that the amino acid sequence of the tryptic-chymotryptic flavin-peptide from pyranose oxidase is Ser-Thr-X-Trp and that of the tryptic flavin-peptide is Met-Ser-Thr-X-Trp.   • A simple new sufficient condition for asymptotic stability of the positive linear time-varying discrete-time systems, with unstructured time-varying uncertainty in delayed states, is established in this paper Compared with previous results that cannot be applied to time-varying systems; the time-varying system and delay time are considered simultaneously in this paper. The proposed conditions are compared with suitable conditions for the typical discrete-time systems. The considerations are illustrated by numerical examples of previous work.

  • The purpose of this paper is to provide a decision support method to a rational buyer, who wants to pay the least price for the product with the highest quality and service. We suggest a minimum efficiency game model and DEA game model to valuate many vendors whose qualifies of outputs are measured by percentage. Our results gave a decision maker (buyer) the upper bound and lower bound of the true efficiency score of a decision making unit (vendor) with respect to the benchmark (target) set by the buyer. As a result, a buyer can choose the best vendor in terms of his/her preference.

  • When rubber dissolved in toluene was used as a binding material of graphite powder, the mechanical robustness of the carbon paste was guaranteed by the fast volatility of the solvent immediately after electrode construction. This characteristic of the rubber solution met qualifications for practical use of carbon paste electrodes and enabled the design of a new enzyme electrode bound with EPDM. In order to confirm whether the electrode shows quantitative electrochemical behaviors or not, its kinetic parameters, e. g. the symmetry factor (0.2), the exchange current density ($3.66\;{\mu}A/cm^2$), the capacity of the double layer ($2.0{\times}10^{-5}\;F$), the Michaelis constant ($4.39{\times}10^{-3}\;M$), the diffusion coefficient of substrate ($2.58{\times}10^{-12}\;cm^2/sec$), the time constant (0.018 sec) and other factors were investigated.

  • The objective of this paper is to introduce very fast but still stable solution using finite element procedures, and it has been used in an iterative mode for product design applications. A lot of numerical techniques have been developed to deal with the material, geometric and boundary condition non-linearities occurred in the stamping process. One of them, the One-Step FEM is very efficient and useful tool for a design and trouble-shooting in various stamping processes. In this method, the mathod, the material is assumed to deform directly from the initial flat blank to the final configuration without any intermediate steps. The formulation is based on the deformation theory of plasticity and the upper bound theorem. As a result of the calculations, the initial blank shape is obtained, together with the material flow, strains and thickness distribution in the part.

  • In this paper, we study some properties of condition for fuzzy data, agrement index by ratio of area and the uniformly most powerful fuzzy test of hypothesis. Also, we suggest a confidence bound for uniformly most powerful fuzzy test. For illustration, we take the most powerful critical fuzzy region from exponential distribution by likelihood ratio and test the hypothesis of ${\chi}^2$-distribution by agreement index.

Characteristics of Useful Components in the Leaves of Baechohyang(Agastache rugosa, O. Kuntze) (배초향 잎의 유용성분과 특성)

  • In order to develope useful components and to apply in food additives, various components in the leaves of baechohyang were determined according to picking date. Moisture and ash were reached to 74~82%, 1.5~3.4%, respectively, and major sugars were fructose, glucose, sucrose, and maltose. Glutamic, aspartic acid, and leucine constituted the main component amino acids and their contents were relatively higher in the samples of summer and young leaves. Among free amino acids, histidine showed the highest components and methionine were the lowest. Potassium, calcium, and sodium were main mineral components. The content of ascorbic acid were 6.6~9.2mg% and seasonal variations were negligible. Muture leaves contained more polyphenols as much as 108~181mg% and the amount of bound fractions were much more. Periodic evaluation of phenolic compounds were made and major components of bound fractions were caffeic, syringic, and ferulic acid.

  • This paper proposes a method to solve expansion problem for a transmission network, given future generation and load strategy, and alternative types of lines available, subject to load, reliability and right of way constraints, the problem is formulated as a series of zero one integer programs which are solved by an efficient branch and bound algorithm A study test result on the 63-buses test system shows that the proposed method is practical and efficiently applicable to the transmission expansion planning.
