  • Test results for a total of four types of complex waterproofing methods were analyzed. In the case of the A method, the stress generated by high-viscosity compounds adhering to the base test body during the behavior of the test body was transferred to the sheet surface layer. In the case of the B method and the C method, the properties of the waterproof sheet consisting of a non-hardened seal based and a non-hardened seal are well reflected and stress absorption in the non-hardened seal layer acts strongly, rapidly reducing stress transfer to the surface of the waterproof sheet. In the case of the D method, slip occurs due to repeated behavior, and the stress on the attachment surface is reduced, and the stress transfer to the surface is greatly reduced. As a result, four types of composite waterproofing methods resulted in changing the stress transfer mechanism caused by behavior on the concrete surface due to the physical properties of the internal constituent material of the waterproof sheet.

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to compare the effects of a 8-week compound exercise and a home-based walking exercise on body composition, perceived health status, and stress of nursing students. Methods: A non-equivalent control group design with pre-post test was employed. Participants, having BMI below 23 and Percent Body Fat above 26%, were assigned to three groups; 21 for the compound exercise(A), 26 for the walking exercise(B), and 23 for the control group. For data analysis, ANOVA in SPSS was used. Results: Body Fat Mass(kg), Visceral Fat Area(cm2), and Percent Body Fat(%) of both group A and B were significantly decreased. Lean Body Mass(kg) and Fitness Score of both group A and B were significantly increased in comparing with the control group. Especially the score of PBF(%) in group A was significantly decreased than the group B. The perceived physical health status in both group A and B was significantly increased. Conclusion: Both 8-week compound exercise and walking exercise were effective in enhancing BFM(kg), VFA($cm^2$), PBF(%), LBM(kg), Fitness Score and perceived physical health status. Especially the Compound exercise program was much more effective in decreasing PBF(%) than the walking exercise program.

  • Many reaearchers have reproted that poor body postures are associated with pains or symptoms of musculoskeletal dissoders. Therefore, the ergonomic evaluation of postural stresses as well as biomechanical stresses is important when a job such as automobile assembly tasks involves highly repetitive and/or prolonged poor body postures. A macropostural classification shema was developed to characterise various body postures occurring in automobile assembly tasks in the study. To specify a postural code and stress level to each body posture, perceived joint discomforts were subjectively evaluated in the lab experiments for the full range of motion in five human body joints. Based on the reaults, a postural classification scheme was developed where the full range of motion in each body joint was classified into several codes repressenting different stress levels. The automobile tasks were clustered into 12 types based on the result walk-in-surveillance and the possible posture codes for each task type are defined. I was exposed that the poor postural problems in automobile assembly tasks were concerned in most part with arms, trunk and neck. Application of te developed schema to seven operations in automobile assembly tasks showed that the schema can be used as a tool to identify the operations and tasks involving highly stressful body postures. The schema can also be utilised as a basis to prioritise the candidate assembly operations for redesign of work methods.

  • To determine the preventive effect of Samulanshintang (SA) on stress, we investigated the physiological change of rats which were applied immobilization stress. For immobilization stress, rats were placed in restrainer for 12 hours a day for 3 days. During application of stress, body weight of rats was measured. After sacrifice, 4 organs were taken for measurement of organ weight. Brain was homogenated and its catecholamine and serotonin contents were measured with HPLC. In our study, stress mainly induced increase of concentration of neurotransmitters in brain without other significant physical change of rats. SA inhibited stress induced changes of neurotransmitter content in brain.

  • The state of deformation and stress and the structural safety are studied at the main frame composed with car body by the impact of front, offset and overturn in this study. The values of maximum deformation and von-Mises stress in case of offset impact are 2 to 3 times as high as those in case of front or offset impact at the parts of front and middle legs of roll cage. The case of front impact is of the greatest safety as compared with the case of offset or overturn impact. As there is a great stress on the side in case of overturn impact, this value is more than 2 times as low as that in case of offset impact. But there is a great possibility of overturn by the buckling on both sides in case of overturn impact.

  • In this paper, A new finite element method for the time domain analysis of the dynamic stress intensity factor of two-dimensional viscoelastic body with a stationary central crack under the transient dynamic load is presented, which is based on the intergrodifferential equations of motion in the isotropic linear viscoelasticity and the Galerkin's method. The vlscoelastic material is assumed to be elastic in dilatation and behaves like a standard linear solid in shear. As a numerical example, the Chen's problem in viscoelastodynamic version is solved for the parametric study about the effect of viscosity and relaxation time on the dynamic stress intensity factor.

  • The present study is carried out in order to investigate the effect of the periodic acceleration in the stenosed and bifurcated blood vessels. The blood flow and wall shear stress are changed under body movement or acceleration variation. Numerical studies are performed for various periodic acceleration phase angles, bifurcation angles and section area ratios of inlet and outlet. It is found that blood flow and wall shear stress are changed about ${\pm}20%$ and ${\pm}24%$ as acceleration phase angle variation with the same periodic frequency. also wall shear stress and blood flow rate are decreased as bifurcation angle increased.

  • Human muscle skeletal model was developed for biomechanical study. The human model was consists with 19 bone-skeleton and 122 muscles. Muscle number of upper limb, trunk and lower limb part are 28, 60, 34 respectively. Bone was modeled with 3D beam element and muscle was modeled with spar element. For upper limb muscle modelling, rectus abdominis, trapezius, deltoideus, biceps brachii, triceps brachii muscle and other main muscles were considered. Lower limb muscle was modeled with gastrocenemius, gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and related muscles. The biomechanical stress and strain analysis of human was conducted by proposed finite element analysis model under Kumdo head hitting motion. In this study structural analysis has been performed in order to investigate the human body impact by Kumdo head hitting motion. As the results, the analytical displacement, stress and strain of human body are presented.

  • This work investigates the device degradation p-channel PD SOI devices at various applied voltages as well as stress temperatures with respect to Body-Contact SOI (BC-SOI) and Floating-Body SOI (FB-SOI) MOSFETs. It is observed that the drain current degradation at the gate voltage of the maximum gate current is more significant in FB-SOI devices than in BC-SOI devices. For a stress at the gate voltage of the maximum gate current and elevated temperature, it is worth noting that the $V_{PT}$ Will be decreased by the amount of the HEIP plus the temperature effects. For a stress at $V_{GS}$ = $V_{DS}$ . the drain current decreases moderately with stress time at room temperature but it decreases significantly at the elevated temperature due to the negative bias temperature instability.

  • One-touch fittings are important components that can make a quick and tight connection between pneumatic pipe systems. In this study, the stress analyses with various working pressures on these one-touch fittings are carried out using finite element method. Material properties, to use the stress analyses, are measured by the universal tester and digital Vickers hardness tester. The stress analyses on the circular shell spring forced by various pressures(100, 150, 200, 250kpa) and on the main body due to the fluid-structural interaction are investigated. Results show that the stresses of one-touch fitting are concentrated to supported part of main body and the soundness of a circular shell spring with maximum pressure 250kpa was confirmed.
