축 방향으로 나열된 관통홀을 구비한 원형 실린더 주위 유동 (Flow around a circular cylinder with axially arranged holes)

  • In the present study, we experimentally investigated the flow around a circular cylinder with axially arranged holes (AAH). The wind-tunnel experiment was performed at Re = 3.2 × 104 while varying the angle of attack (α) from 0° to 90°. At low α, the passive jet from the AAH pushes near wake to the downstream, increasing the wake formation length. On the other hand, at high α, blowing and suction through AAH occurs alternatively, rather decreasing the wake formation length. The passive jet generated by AAH can effectively control not only the wake where AAH is located, but also the wake between holes. As a result, the AAH reduce the drag on the cylinder up to 23.8% at low α but rather increase the drag at high α, as compared to that on a smooth cylinder.

원관내 유동에서의 준최적 제어의 평가 (Assessment of Suboptimal Control in Turbulent Pipe Flow)

  • A suboptimal control law in turbulent pipe flow is derived and tested. Two sensing variables ∂p/∂$\theta$$\_$w/ and ∂v$\_$$\theta$/∂γ│$\_$w/ are applied with two actuations ø$\_$$\theta$/ and ø$\_$γ/. To test the suboptimal control law, direct numerical simulations of turbulent pipe flow at Re$\_$$\tau$/=150 are performed. When the control law is applied, a 13∼23% drag reduction is achieved. The most effective drag reduction is made at the pair of ∂v$\_$$\theta$/∂γ│$\_$w/ and ø$\_$γ/. An impenetrable virtual wall concept is useful for analyzing the near-wall suction and blowing. The virtual wall concept is useful for analyzing the near-wall behavior of the controlled flow. Comparison of the present suboptimal control with that of turbulent channel flow reveals that the curvature effect is insignificant.

  • 직교류 핀-튜브 열교환기의 대류연절달에 대해 수치해석 연구가 수행되었다. 팬위치에 따른 열전달 성능변화를 조사하기 위하여 분사와 흡입형태로서 몇 가지 팬위치가 선택되었다. 열교환기의 튜브는 엇갈림 배열이며, 튜브의 온도와 유입공기의 온도는 각각 $50^{\circ}C$$30^{\circ}C$이다. 해석결과로부터 3차원 유동구조가 검토되었으며, 팬의 다양한 설치 위치에 따른 대류 열전달계수와 열교환기 입출구 사이의 평균 온도차에 대한 분석을 통해 열교환기 성능을 논의되었다.
