  • This paper presents a genetic programming based evolutionary strategy for on-line adaptive learnable evolvable hardware. genetic programming can be useful control method for evolvable hardware for its unique tree structured chromosome. However it is difficult to represent tree structured chromosome on hardware, and it is difficult to use crossover operator on hardware. Therefore, genetic programming is not so popular as genetic algorithms in evolvable hardware community in spite of its possible strength. We propose a chromosome representation methods and a hardware implementation method that can be helpful to this situation. Our method uses context switchable identical block structure to implement genetic tree on evolvable hardware. We composed an evolutionary strategy (or evolvable hardware by combining proposed method with other's striking research results. Proposed method is applied to the autonomous mobile robots cooperation problem to verify its usefulness.

  • As Information Security Technology has become rather transparent, wide, and integrated than in part, exclusive, and separated, A necessity of the study about integrating the separated distributed security systems into one module, has grown However, there is no integrated framework which can manage all separate security systems as one integrated one yet. Accordingly, we propose a new policy based network admirustrative model in this paper which can integrate individual security systems and distributed control way into one effectively.

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 움직임 예측(Fast Motion Estimation)방법의 일종인 다단계 연속 제거 알고리즘(MSEA : Multi-level Successive Elimination Algorithm)에 움직임의 역동성 정도를 고려하여 적응적인 가중치를 적용하는 방안에 대해 제안하였다. 움직임을 예측하는 과정에서 영상의 화질 손상이 발생하는 방식(Lossy Motion Estimation Algorithm)에서 모든 단위 블록(Macro Block)에 고정된 가중치만을 적용하는 기존의 방식과 달리 주위 블록의 움직임 벡터(Motion Vector)를 통해 움직임의 정도를 가정하여 적응적인 가중치를 적용함으로써 화질 손상을 줄이는 것이 목적이다. 제안하는 알고리즘으로 설계한 실험으로부터 MSEA에 적응적 가중치를 사용할 경우의 효율성을 확인하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 2D-DCT 변환된 동영상 프레임 사이의 오차 블록들의 활성 레벨(atcivity level)과 에지의 특성을 분류하여 동영상의 적응적인 양자화를 제안한다. 각 블록에서는 활성 레벨이 각기 다르고, 같은 활성 레벨이라 할지라도 에지의 특성도 각기 다르게 나타난다. 적응적인 양자화를 위해서, 2D-DCT 변환된 영상 오차의 각 블록의 활성레벨 뿐만 아니라 AC 계수들의 분포에 따른 에지 특성을 분류하면, 블록의 활성 레벨만을 일률적으로 적용한 Sorting 방법의 경우보다 향상된 영상을 복원할 수 있다. 블록의 활성 레벨은 AC energy에 의해서 측정하고, 에지 특성은 AC 계수들의 분포에 의해 결정하게 된다.

  • An efficient real-time implementation of digital filtering algorithms using a multiprocessor system in a ring network is investigated. The development time and cost for implementing a high speed signal processing system can be considerably reduced because algorithm are implemented in software using commercially available digital signal processors. This method is based on a parallel block processing approach, where a continuously supplied input data is divided into blocks, and the blocks are processed concurrently by being assigned to each processor in the system. This approach not only requires a simple interconnection network but also reduces the number of communications among the processors very much. The data dependency of the blocks to be processed concurrently brings on dependency problems between the processors in the system. A systematic scheduling method has been developed by using a processors which can be used efficiently, the methods for solving dependency problems between the processors are investigated. Implementation procedures and results for FIR, recursive (IIR), and adaptive filtering algorithms are illustrated.

  • NTSS(New Three-Step Search Algorithm)는 대표적인 Fast BMA(Block Matching 시gorithm)인 TSS(Three-Step Search Algorithm)에 중앙 편향적(Center-Biased) 특성을 고려하여 향상시킨 방법이다. 그러나 NTSS는 움직임이 작은 영상인 경우에는 TSS보다 개선된 성능을 보여주지만, 움직임이 큰 영상에 대해서는 TSS와 큰 차이가 없으며 탐색영역이 커질수록 오히려 성능이 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 움직임 벡터의 특성에 맞는 탐색영역을 적용시킴으로써 탐색영역의 증가로 발생되는 NTSS의 단점을 보완하여 움직임이 큰 영상에 대해서도 향상된 성능을 갖는 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법을 적용 하였을때 움직임이 작은 영상에서는 기존의 방법과 동등한 결과를 얻었으며 움직임이 큰 영상에서는 최고 0.5db이상 성능이 개선되었다.

  • In this paper, we proposed a fast algorithm for inter prediction included the most complexity in H.264/AVC. It decide search range according to direction of predicted motion vector, and then perform adaptive candidate spiral search. Simultaneously, it perform motion estimation of variable loop with threshold for variable block size. Conclusively, it is implemented in JM FME with high complexity applying to rate-distortion optimization. Experimental results show that significant complexity reduction is achieved while the degradation in video quality is negligible.

  • This paper describes a normalized numeric image descriptor used to assess the luminance and contrast of the image. The proposed image descriptor used the each pixel data as weighted value of the probability density function (PDF) and defined by normalization in order to objective represent. The proposed image numeric descriptor can be used to the adaptive gamma process because it suggests the objective basis of the gamma value selection.

  • This paper proposes a novel iterative LMS-based decision feedback equalizer for short burst transmission with relatively short training sequence. In the proposed equalizer, the longer concatenated training sequence can provide the more sufficient channel information and the reused original training sequence can provide the correct decision feedback information. In addition, the overall adaptive processing is performed using the low complexity LMS algorithm. The study shows the performance of the proposed method is enhanced with the number of iterations and, furthermore, better than that of the conventional LMS-based DFEs with the training sequence of longer or equal length. Computational complexity is increased linearly with the number of iterations.

  • C-RAN (Cloud Radio Access Network) structure is the most popular approach for 5G stander, it employs CoMP (Coordinated Multiple Points Transmission/Reception) to enhance frequency utilization and increase throughput for cell-edge users. C-RAN mainly includes two parts: baseband units (BBU) and remote radio heads (RRH). In this paper we propose a new resource block allocation (spectrum allocation) scheme by the permutation and combination of BBUs, and we also use the CoMP (Coordinated Multiple Points Transmission/Reception) technique according to the different environment to improve the spectrum utilization and reduce resource waste in different environment. The simulation results expound that the scheme significantly enhances throughput and improves the spectrum utilization.
