This study was investigated to make sure the usage of prescriptions in which Perilla frutescens is used as a main herbal medicine in Donguibogam. Through the investigation on main treatment, pathology, etiology and nature of disease, dosage in the relevant prescriptions, The consequences are as follows; 1. The Perilla frutescens is used in 15 treatment fields which contain the cough, cold chapter ect. 2. The Perilla frutescens is used as a main heral medicine in 30 natures of disease such as cough-relative disease, an asthma, an external wind and cold, etc. 3. The Perilla frutescens is used for various pathology in the exogenous etiological factor, endogenous etiological factor, exo-endogeneous etiological factor and non-exo-endogeneous etiological factor. 4. The Perilla frutescens is used in a range of $1.2g{\sim}10g$ in relevant prescription. The main dosage is 4g. 5. The Perilla frutescens is used with various crude herbs in accordance with the pathogeny. The Perilla frutescens has been used to reduce heat from the lungs, to relieve asthma, to promote qi's movement and to soothe fetal movement etc. According to the results, 1 suggest to use the Perilla frutescens in a various pathogenic fields. The Perilla frutescens is able to remove not only pathogenic heat from the cough-relative disease, but also pathogenic asthma, an external winds and colds, etc.

At once Medicine of East and West have the same purpose in treating, but there is a difference between the method of medical care and the view/slant on a disease each other. In the East Medicine, It is very difficult to explain the concept of Hwalhyulhwau but it is one of the way to cure cancer for long time. Be based on the theory of the East Medicine, research single medicine's anti-cancer effect among the natural products that has anti-cancer function. Moreover, for the purpose of finding new way to cure and prevent against cancer, we, the researchers, divided into four groups for this research: Group one: survey new substance with anti-cancer effects from natural products. Group two: research of anti-cancer mechanism through the experimental studies. Group three: research of immune responses in anti-canncer effects from natural products. Group four: research of the inhibitory effect on metastasis through the anti-angiogenesis. From the above results, we blended efficacious medidcines against cancer and made new prescriptions of Soam-I and Soam-II. Now, we are studying on these new prescriptions. We speculate that Soam-I and Soam-II may be used for a new conceptional anticancer therapy.

This study was investigated to make sure the range of the Colla Corii Asini treatment. the nature of disease and the pathology of it in D ongeuyboga. The following conclusion were reached through invetigations on the prescriptions that use the Colla Corii Asini as a ingredient. 1. The Colla Corii Asini was used a internal disease more than a surgical disease in the dongeuybogam. 2. The Colla Corii Asini was used lung and large intestine disease in abundance and especially anhidrosis. cough and dysentery. 3. The Colla Corii Asini was applied much more disease about blood in the dongeuybogam, but some was used almost bleeding disease. one was used blood deficiency. 4. The processed Colla Corii Asini was used more than the Colla Corii Asini in the dongeuybogam, because of convenience of preparation and ease of intestinla drug absorption. 5. The Colla Corii Asini was used more useful dysentery than tranquilizeing mind in cooperation with Rhizoma Coptidis in the dongeuybogam. 6. Instead of the Colla Corii Asini, we can apply the Colla Comus Cervi or they are mutual reinforcement.

Impotence is defined as a consistent inability to achieve or maintain penile erection that is adequate for completion of sexual intercourse. In oriental midicine, the chief cause of impotence is the decline of the fire from the gate of life, and in western medicine that is psycogenic and organic. Because of the increase aging people and psycologic stress that modern people get, impotence became common. This bibliographic study on impotence in the oriental and western medicine books has come to the following conclusions. 1. The main cause of impotence in the oriental medicine is the decline of the fire from the gate of life(命門火衰), followed by the deficiency of both heart and spleen(心脾兩虛), the depression of Liver energy(肝氣鬱結), and attack of blended wetness and heat to the lower wanner(濕熱下注). 2. The theraphics of impotence in oriental medicine are warming and strenghthening Kidney. softness of Liver energy, tonifying the Kidney to relieve mental strain, clear away the wetness-heat, and infairment of Heart and Spleen. 3. The prescriptions of impotence are Yugyeyum, Gyibitang, Soyosan, Sunjitang, and Yongdamsagantang. 4. In the western medicine, psycotherapy, medical therapy and surgical therapy are the major way to treat impotence.
