  • The purpose of this study reutilization of waste fine tailing (FT) as admixture for cement and concrete. Various admixtures were made of Fine tailings and 2 Types of OPC, fly-ash and blast furnace slag. Cement mortars and concrete with FT are tested for fluidity and compressive strength. Also, the hydration reactivity of cement mortar with FT was examined by XRD and SEM morphology analysis. This work showed that the waste fine tailing could be effectively utilized as replacement materials of cement without any decrease in the strength if we can control the blaine of materials like cement, blast furnace slag and fly ash.

  • In this paper the study of a reinforced concrete wall used as protection against accidental explosions in the petrochemical industry is presented. Many alternatives of accidental scenarios and sizes of the wall are analyzed and discussed. Two main types of events are considered, both related to vessel bursts: Pressure vessel bursts and BLEVE. The liberated energy from the explosion was calculated following procedures firmly established in the practice and the effects over the structures and the reinforced concrete wall were calculated by using a CFD tool. The results obtained show that the designed wall reduces the values of the peak overpressure and impulse and, as a result, the damage levels to be expected. It was also proved that a reinforced concrete wall can withstand the blast load for the considered events and levels of pressure and impulse, with minor damage and protect the buildings.

  • The rice blast disease, caused by the fungal pathogen, Magnaporthe oryzae (syn. Pyricularia oryzae), poses a significant threat to the global rice production. Understanding how this disease impacts the plant's microbial communities is crucial for gaining insights into host-pathogen interactions. In this study, we investigated the changes in communities of bacterial and fungal endophytes inhabiting different compartments in healthy and diseased plants. We found that both alpha and beta diversities of endophytic communities do not change significantly by the pathogen infection. Rather, the type of plant compartment appeared to be the main driver of endophytic community structures. Although the overall structure seemed to be consistent between healthy and diseased plants, our analysis of differentially abundant taxa revealed the specific bacterial and fungal operational taxonomic units that exhibited enrichment in the root and leaf compartments of infected plants. These findings suggest that endophyte communities are robust to the changes at the early stage of pathogen infection, and that some of endophytes enriched in infected plants might have roles in the defense against the pathogen.

  • Blasting method is used most engineering works for rock excavation. Blasting method is done much to upgrade of operation efficiency, contraction of construction period than other method. But blasting method happens damage by blasting vibration, nose and scattering. Therefore this study examined about effect, characteristic and application of Plasma method. To confirm effect measured vibration, noise and frequency, and analyzed data compare with general blasting.

  • For increase of reality in numerical analysis, a blasting vibration waveform obtained from field blast operations has been directly used for input parameters of dynamic analysis in the form of vibration velocity. A numerical model was built considering the geological characteristics of underground limestone opening as well as the mining stages in this opening, and the effect of blast operations on stability of underground limestone opening was investigated by dynamic numerical analysis. The adequacy of applying the real vibration waveform to dynamic analysis has been approved from the preliminary analysis, and the dynamic numerical analysis results show that the continuous mining operation can cause the collapse of roof in openings and the active yield zone around openings. Therefore, the additional reinforcements should be applied for ensuring the stability of underground limestone openings.

  • This study addressed the development of an automobile aroma blast device to reduce fatigue of drivers. We also analyzed the adaptation character of the aroma blast device, The aroma blast device was designed in a way that volatilized aroma is mixed with oxygen (air) and blasted to the outside, It was devised to possibly change on/off time of 2-Port Solenoid Valve using the 8051 micro processor, through which the amount of aroma can be controlled, We conducted an experiment to examine time for occurrence/elimination of adaptation to aroma in 20 college students using 4 types of natural fragrances, The subjects had an average age of 22$\pm$2 years and included both men and women. The results showed that the occurrence and elimination times for adaptation to aroma were 1 minute 28 seconds and 3 minutes and 15 seconds for Jasmine 30%, 2 minutes and 41 seconds and 4 minutes and 3 seconds for Jasmine 50%, 1 minute and 47 seconds and 2 minutes and 59 seconds for Peppermint 30%, and 1 minute 59 seconds and 4 minutes and 11 seconds for Peppermint 50%, respectively.
