The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of foodservice employees' workplace harassment on their coping styles and intention to leave. Based on total 374 foodservice employees obtained from the empirical research, this study reviewed reliability and fitness of research model and verified total 3 hypotheses. SEM was conducted to test the validity of the proposed model and the hypotheses. The structural model provided an adequate fit to the data, $x^2=1,344.862$ (p<.001), df=420, GFI=.839, IFI=.900, CFI=.900, RMSEA=.076. To examine how employees' workplace harassment affects coping with harassment; workplace harassment had a significant effect on self-doubt (${\beta}=.401$, p<.001), ignored bully doubt (${\beta}=.621$, p<.001), and indirect or passive doubt (${\beta}=.527$, p<.001); whereas problem solving (${\beta}=-.094$, p>.05) did not. Furthermore, employees' workplace harassment (${\beta}=.126$, p<.05) had no significant effect on intention to leave. Employees' coping with harassment had a significant effect on intention to leave; especifically, among employees' coping with harassment elements, problem solving(${\beta}=-.572$; p<.001), self-doubt (${\beta}=.369$, p<.001), indirect or passive (${\beta}=.239$, p<.001), and ignored bully (${\beta}=-.161$, p<.01) had a significant effect on intention to leave. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

Increasing evidence indicates that the production of nitric oxide (NO) by inducible NO synthase (NOS) is tightely regulated. Transforming growth factor-${\beta}$ (TGF-${\beta}$) is a homodimeric protein secreted during macrophage activation, but several lines of evidence suggest that TGF-${\beta}$ is selectively suppressive for macrophage NO production. We therefore reasoned that a strategy employing oligodeoxynucleotides(ODNs) complemently to TGF-${\beta}$ mRNA (antisense ODNs) might increase NO production in IFN-${\gamma}$-treated murine peritoneal macrophages. To evaluate this concept, we tested the effects of antisense ODNs targeted to TGF-${\beta}$ mRNA (25-mer ODNs complemently to TGF-${\beta}$mRNA sequences) by introducing it into the medium of cultured macrophages. Phosphorothiolation of ODNs were employed to retard their degradation. Antisense ODNs had no effect on NO production by itself, whereas IFN-${\gamma}$ alone had modest effect. When antisense ODNs were used in combination with IFN-${\gamma}$, there was a marked cooperative induction of NO production, These effects of antisense ODNs were associated with decreased TGF-${\beta}$ expression in activated macrophages. ODNs with the same nucleotides but a scrambled sequence had no effect. Adding anti-TGF-${\beta}$ antibodies to the IFN-${\gamma}$-treated macrophages mimicked the positive effect of antisense ODNs on NO production. In addition, the effects of either antisense ODNs or anti-TGF-${\beta}$ antibodies were blocked by adding TGF-${\beta}$ in cultured macrophages. These results indicate that the generation of TGF-${\beta}$ by activated macrophages provides a self-regulating mechanism by which the temporal and perhaps spatial production of NO, a reactive and potentially toxic mediator, can be finely regulated.
The aim of this investigation was to resolve the contradiction between the results of Sternberg and Mandels (1980, 1982)and those of Nisizawa et al., (1971) in cellulase induction by sophorose, and furthermore to study the conditional effects in sophorose-induced cellulase induction in Trichoderma reesei QM 9414. Sophorose could induce the synthesis of CMCase and ${\beta}-glucosidase$ simultaneously. Optimal induction medium by sophorose had the potassium citrate buffer solution of pH 3.0-4.0 for CMCase, but one of pH 5.0-6.0 for ${\beta}-glucosidase$. At this time, two different types of ${\beta}-glucosidase$ could be induced by sophorose: one was extracellular and had maximum at pH 5.0, the other was intracellular and had maximum activity at pH6.5. Induction study showed that $methyl-{\beta}-glucoside$ was not a true inducer of ${\beta}-glucosidase$ and that large ${\beta}-glucosidase$ induction could be obtained only by the addition of sophorose into the induction medium. Glucose repressed the induction of cellulase by sophorose. The repression of glucose could not be overcome by the addition of cyclic AMP into the induction medium.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine burnout and job satisfaction among nurses based on Job Demand-Resource Model. Methods: A survey using a structured questionnaire was conducted with 464 hospital nurses. Analysis of data was done with both SPSS Win 17.0 for descriptive statistics and AMOS 18.0 for the structural equation model. Results: The hypothetical model yielded the following Chi-square=34.13 (p=<.001), df=6, GFI=.98, AGFI=.92, CFI=.94, RMSR=.02, NFI=.93, IFI=.94 and showed good fit indices. Workload had a direct effect on emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=0.39), whereas supervisor support had direct effects on emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=-0.24), depersonalization (${\beta}$=-0.11), and low personal accomplishment (${\beta}$=-0.22). Emotional exhaustion (${\beta}$=-0.42), depersonalization (${\beta}$=-0.11) and low personal accomplishment (${\beta}$=-0.36) had significant direct effects on job satisfaction. Conclusion: The results suggest that nurses' workload should be decreased and supervisor's support should be increased in order to retain nurses. Further study with a longitudinal design is necessary.
This study was designed to provide basic data on preventive plans by affecting factors that have analysed on musculoskeletal diseases. The survey were conducted from July 1 to 30, 2004 among 600 hair dressers working in Seoul and Gwangju using self-administration questionnaire. The results of this study are summarized as follows: The pain experience rate of musculoskeletal diseases. in the last one yea was 55.2%. 35.7% of respondents answered they had pain on shoulders, 30.6% had pain on legs and feet, 28.9% had pain on waist, 26.8% had hands, fingers and wrist, 22.3% had pain on necks and 17.6% had pain arms and elbows more than disease on necks, shoulders, arms and elbows, hands, fingers and wrists, waist, shoulders legs and feet. The prevalence rate of the last week was 40.3%. The prevalence rate in each body parts of the last week was 23.3% on legs and feet, 21.2% on shoulders, 20.8% on waist, 14.9% on hands, fingers and wrists, 14.4% on necks, 9.3% on arms. The affecting factors on musculoskeletal disease index were analysed by multiple linear regression analysis. there are working posture$(\beta=0.27)$; authority of task$(\beta=0.18)$, self-conscious stress $(\beta=0.16)$, age$(\beta=0.14)$, physical burden from work$(\beta=0.13)$, and task required$(\beta=0.10)$. Determinant coefficients was 22.7%. Based on the results above, working posture, job stress and physical burden from task are highly related with pain. In order to prevent musculoskeletal disease of hairdressers, working posture shall be improved and leisure opportunities to relieve stress, and health management education shall be provided.
Purpose: The present study is a descriptive cross-sectional study of cause-and-effect relationship, which used the $7^{th}$ year data of the Panel Study on Korean Children, to investigate the effects of parenting stress, depression, and family interactions of the parents of early school-age children on children's subjective happiness. Methods: The present study included data of 1419 pairs of parents who participated in the mother and father survey of the Panel Study on Korean Children. The effects of parenting stress, depression, and parental family interactions on children's subjective happiness were analyzed as actor and partner effects using path analysis. Results: Parenting stress had an actor effect on depression; maternal parenting stress (${\beta}=-.21$, p<.001) and depression (${\beta}=-.30$, p<.001) had an actor effect on maternal family interaction; and paternal parenting stress (${\beta}=-.18$, p<.001) and depression (${\beta}=-.17$, p<.001) had a partner effect on maternal family interaction. Paternal parenting stress was found to have an actor effect on paternal family interaction (${\beta}=-.30$, p<.001), and parental depression was found to have actor effect (${\beta}=-.23$, p<.001) and maternal depression had a partner effect on paternal family interactions (${\beta}=-.22$, p<.001). Children's subjective happiness was found to have a statistically significant relationship with maternal family interaction (${\beta}=.40$, p<.001). Conclusion: The significance of the study is in its provision of basic data for adjusting parents' family interactions that are closely related to the growth and development of children by confirming the effect of parents' parenting stress, depression, and family interaction on children's subjective happiness.

Purpose: This study aims to assess university freshmen's concern of and satisfaction with their health and body and to analyze this in relation to their health habits, thereby aiding university students in forming sound health habits. Method: The subjects of this study were 338 freshmen at A University, located in B City. The questionnaire had 34 questions and the collected data was analyzed with t-test, $x^2$-test, and multiple regressions. Result: The average points of the subjects' health habits were 6.01 for male and 5.65 for female, showing a median range. Concern about health (male 13.63 points, female 13.10 points) and satisfaction with their own body (male 8.26 points, female 7.71 points) showed no significant difference between males and females. Females had more concern about their body (p=.001), and males' satisfaction with health was higher than females', which was statistically significant (p=.0.41). As for factors that have an effect on health habits, male students had health concerns ($\beta$=.395), health satisfaction ($\beta$=.212), and body concerns ($\beta$=-.209), and female students had health concerns ($\beta$=.317) and health satisfaction ($\beta$=.139). Conclusion: University freshmen are likely to have diverse undesirable health habits and therefore need positive improvement in their health habits.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the response of human pulp cell on Portland cement mixed with $\beta$-glycerophosphate. To investigate the effect of $\beta$-glycerophosphate and/or dexamethasone on human pulp cell, ALP activity on various concentration of $\beta$-glycerophosphate and dexamethasone was measured and mineral nodule of human pulp cell was stained with Alizarin red S. MTS assay and ALP activity of human pulp cell on Portland cement mixed with various concentration of $\beta$-glycerophosphate (10 mM, 100mM, 1M) was measured and the specimens were examined under SEM. Addition of $\beta$-glycerophosphate or dexamethasone alone had no effect however, the addition of 5 mM $\beta$-glycerophosphate and 100 nM dexamethasone had the largest increasement in ALP activity. There was no toxicity in all samples and the data showed that Portland cement mixed with 10 mM $\beta$-glycerophosphate had more increase in ALP activity compared with control. In conclusion, Portland cement mixed with $\beta$-glycerophosphate has no toxicity and promotes differentiation and mineralization of pulp cell compared with additive-free Portland cement. This implicated that application of Portland cement mixed with $\beta$-glycerophosphate might form more reparative dentin and in turn it would bring direct pulp capping to success.
Maternal serum ${\beta}$-specific human chorionic gonadotropin(${\beta}$-hCG) and pregnancy-specific ${\beta}_1$-glycoprotein($SP_1$) levels were determined more than one per week during 11-41 days post embryo transfer(ET) in 21 consecutive pregnancies after in vitro fertilization(IVF), which included 8 normal singleton pregnancies, 3 twin pregnancies, 4 clinical abortions, 1 ectopic pregnancy, and 5 preclinical abortions. The sensitivity of serum ${\beta}$-hCG and $SP_1$ radioimmunoassays was 3mIU/ml and 0.7ng/ml relatively. At the 7th to 8th week of gestation, ultrasonographic confirmation of fetal pole and fetal heartbeat was performed. Both serm ${\beta}$-hCG and $SP_1$ levels showed logarithmic increase, but log[$SP_1$] had more steep rising curve and had wider variation than log[${\beta}$-hCG] in normal singleton pregnancies. In 3 twin pregnancies and one ectopic pregnancy, both serum ${\beta}$-hCG and $SP_1$ levels located within the 95% confidence interval of the mean levels of 8 normal singleton pregnancies(normal range). In 2 clinical abortions which had a fetal pole without heartbeat, serum ${\beta}$-hCG level showed lower limit of the normal range or just below, but all $SP_1$ levels showed within the normal range. In other 2 clinical abortions which were diagnosed as blighted ovum, both serum ${\beta}$-hCG levels from 11 days post-ET and serum $SP_1$ levels from later days compared with ${\beta}$-hCG were below the normal range. In 5 preclinical abortions, serum $SP_1$ levels were within the normal range but serum ${\beta}$-hCG levels were far below the normal range. In conclusion, both serum ${\beta}$-hCG and $SP_1$ levels increased exponentially with similar pattern in normally conceived pregancy after IVF-ET. Both serum ${\beta}$-hCG and $SP_1$ levels could predict outcome of early pregnancy to a certain degree, but log[${\beta}$-hCG] levels had more significant correlation with outcome of pregnancy compared with log[$SP_1$] levels. In addition, ultrasonographic examination of fetal poles and fetal heartbeats gives very important clinical information and prognosis.
This study conducted to identify the influence of consume propensity on the visiting satisfaction among 253 people who visited the themed restaurants across the country within two months from the date of January 7, 2016. The result of this study are as following: Sociality, impulsivity, and planning are used for estimating the propensity to consume, and sociality (${\beta}=.551$, p<.001), impulsivity (${\beta}=.094$, p<.05), and planning (${\beta}=.328$, p<.001) had the significant positive (+) influence on satisfaction. Second, the choice of the themed restaurant had the significant positive (+) influence on the all variables of consume propensity in the first stage model that the propensity to consume of consumers was considered as an independent variable. In the second stage input model, the choice of restaurant (${\beta}=0.228$, p<.01) had the significant positive influence. That is, the choice of restaurants generally elevated the satisfaction of visiting the themed restaurants. In the third stage that the interaction between the propensity to consume of consumers was considered as an independent variable. The results show there was the significant positive (+) regulation effect with sociality (${\beta}=.108$, p<.05) and planning (${\beta}=.167$, p<.05), but there was no influence with impulsivity.
