It is very important to use appropriate nutrition water for crop growth in hydroponic farming facilities. However, in many cases, the supply of nutrition water is not designed with a precise plan, but is performed in a conventional manner. We proposes a forecasting technique for nutrition water requirements based on a data analysis for optimal strawberry production. To do this, the proposed forecasting technique uses linear regression for correlating strawberry production, soil condition, and environmental parameters with nutrition water demand for the actual two-stage strawberry production soil. Also, it includes predicting the optimal amount of nutrition water requires according to the heterogeneous cultivation environment and variety by comparing the amount of nutrition water needed for the growth and production of different kinds of strawberries. We suggested study uses two types of section beds that are compared to find out the best section bed production of strawberry growth. The dataset includes 233 samples collected from a real strawberry greenhouse, and the four predicted variables consist of the total amounts of nutrition water, average temperature, humidity, and CO2 in the greenhouse.
The optimal conditions for mycelial growth of P. linteus ASI 26011 were 25-30$^{\circ}C$ and pH 6.0, respectively. The mycelial growth of P. linteus was excellent on MCM medium. In case of carbon sources, the mycelial growth of P. linteus was best on the culture media that were contained with sucrose, mannose and glucose. Potassium nitrate and sodium nitrate were good for the mycelial growth of P. linteus as a nitrogen source. For comparison of the mycelial colonization of P. linteus on logs, several techniques of inoculation were tested; the sterilized short log inoculation, drilling inoculation and log-end sandwich inoculation. The mycelial colonization of P. linteus on logs was good in the treatment of sterilized short log inoculation, but poor in the traditional methods such as drilling inoculation and log-end sandwich. The initial mycelial growth and the full mycelial colonization of P. linteus were the best on 20 cm logs under the condition of 42% of moisture content in log. Also the initial mycelial growth of P. linteus was accelerated over 12 hours of sterilization. Burying method of logs after 5-6 months of incubation was the best for formation of basidiocarp of P. linteus. The formation of fruiting body of P. linteus was quite good in the cultivation house at the 31-35$^{\circ}C$ and over 96% of relative humidity.
Hairy roots induced from stems of Rubia cordifolia var. pratensis were cultured in the liquid medium under a variety of auxins to find the optimal condition for the growth and production of pigments. Culture of the hairy roots on NN liquid medium containing NAA 0.5 mg/l was best for growth of hairy roots. Production of yellow anthraquinone derivatives and purpurin in hairy roots was enhanced by the culture on NN liquid medium without auxins. Effects of L-phenylalanine, L-tyrosine and juglone, synthesized via the shikimic acid pathway, on growth and production of pigments in hairy roots were studied in the present study. Concentration of exogeneous L-phenylalanine. L-tyrosine and juglone in liquid culture system of hairy root containing NAA 0.1 mg/l was decreased quickly in its early stages of the culture period. Addition of juglone to NN liquid medium containing NAA 0.1 mg/l enhanced the productivity of pigments in hairy roots.
Ganoderma lucidum (Fr.) Karst (Polyporaceae), belonging to basidiomycota, is one of the most famous medicinal mushrooms. This study was carried out to investigate favorable mycelial growth conditions, such as pH, temperature, growth media, carbon sources and nitrogen sources of Korean strains in G. lucidum. The most suitable temperature for the mycelial growth was obtained at $30^{\circ}C$. In general, optimal temperature range for the mycelial growth was found at $25{\sim}30^{\circ}C$. This Mushroom has a broad pH range ($5{\sim}9$) for its mycelial growth and mostly favorable growth was found at pH 5. Generally, Hamada, Glucose peptone, YM, Mushroom complete and Lilly media were the most suitable for the mycelial growth of G. lucidum. Among 10 different carbon sources, dextrin, galactose and fructose were best but the rest of other carbon sources also facilitated the growth of mycelia. The most suitable nitrogen sources were ammonium acetate, glycine, arginine and calcium nitrate, but to a certain extent, all of the supplemented nitrogen sources also stimulated the mycelial growth.
Genetic transformation of streptomyces gaespitosus by plasmid plJ 702 was camied out. Optimal conditions for the protoplast preparation of streptomyces casepitosus, its regeneration, and its transformation by plJ 702 were evaluated. Addition of 2% glycine to the culture broth was optimal for protoplast yield. Formation and regeneration of protoplasts were most efficient when the mycelium were harvested at between late log and stationary growth phase. The regeneration frequency of the protoplasts was 15% when the protoplats were regenerated on R2YE agar media containing 0.5M sucrose. Under the best condition for protoplats (M.W. 4,000) treatment for 2 minutes.
Optimal biodegradation kinetics models to the initial nonylphenol ethoxylates-30 concentration were investigated and had been fitted by the linear regression. Microorganisms capable of degrading nonylphenol ethoxylates-30 were isolated from sewage near Ulsan plant area by enrichment culture technique. Among them, the strain designated as EL-10K had the highest biodegradability and was identified as Pseudomonas from results of taxonomical studies. The optimal conditions for the biodegradation were 1.0 g/ι of nonylphenol ethoxylates-30 and 0.02 g/ι of ammonium nitrate at pH 7.0 and 3$0^{\circ}C$. The highest degradation rate of nonylphenol ethoxylates-30 was about 89% for 30 hours incubation on the optimal condition. Biodegradation data were fit by linear regression to equations for 3 kinetic models. The kinetics of biodegradation of nonylphenol ethoxylates was best described by first order model for 0.1 $\mu\textrm{g}$/ι nonylphenol ethoxylates-30 ; by Monod no growth model and Monod with growth model for 0.5 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mι and 1.0, 5.0 $\mu\textrm{g}$/mι, respectively.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa F722 produces a biosurfactant (BS) during its degradation of carbon and hydrocarbon compounds. The culture conditions for upgrading the biosurfactant productivity were investigated. The concentration of the biosurfactant produced by P. aeruginosa F722 was 0.78 g/L in C-medium; however, this increased to 1.66 g/L in BS medium, which was experimentally adjusted to optimal conditions. $NaNO_{2}$ was found to be most effective for microbial growth, with an $O.D_{600nm}$ of 1.18 for 0.1 % $NaNO_{2}$. Microbial growths, according to the $O.D_{600nm}$ were 2.53, 2.68, 2.89, and 2.87 for glucose, glycerol, $n-C_{10},\;and\;n-C_{22}$, respectively. Clear zone diameters (cm), indicating biosurfactant activity, were 9.0, 8.8, 5.7, and 8.5 for glucose, glycerol, $n-C_{10},\;and\;n-C_{22}$, respectively. Microbial growth was not consistent with the biosurfactant activity. The best biosurfactant activity was found with a C/N ratio of 20. Under optimal culture condition, the average surface tension decreased from 70 to 30 mN/m after 5 days. With aeration of 1.0 vvm, the biosurfactant produced increased to 1.94 g/L (up to 20%) compared to that of 1.66 g/L with no aeration. With aeration, the velocities of glucose degradation during both the log and stationary growth phases increased from 0.25 and $0.18\;h^{-1}$ to 0.33 and $0.29\;h^{-1}$, respectively, and the time for the culture to arrive at the maximum clear zone diameter became shorter, from 80 down to 60 h with no aeration.
Halophytes are plants of saline habitats that grow under conditions that may vary in extremes of temperatures (freezing to very hot), water availability (drought to water logging) and salinity (mild to almost saturation). Halophytes may also face sudden micro-environmental variations within their habitats. In this study, we examine some of the factors that determine the ability of seeds of Artemisia fukudo to germinate when conditions are optimal for seedling growth and survival. Germination percentage was the highest at 77.5% when treated in 0% seawater and seedling growth was best in 0% seawater plug cell tray. Physiological quality (chlorophyll contents) and mean germination time were best in the condition in which seeds were treated with 0% seawater (control). Germination performance index in the control group showed the highest value to 3.8. Seedling growth, seedling vigor index in the length of seedling growth andthe relative growth rate were the highest values of 0.76 cm, 1.43, 0.0099, respectively.

Interspecific hybridization is a beneficial strategy in aquaculture. In this study, diploid hybrids were produced through interspecies hybridization of flounder Platichthys bicoloratus ♀ × starry flounder P. stellatus ♂, which became commercial within a year. These hybrids exhibited an advantage in growth ability, with female hybrids growing twice as large as males at 11 months. Furthermore, hybrid flounders exhibited faster growth rates than starry flounders and reciprocal hybrids. The average growth rate of hybrids was 1.37 and 1.18 times greater than that of starry flounder and reciprocal hybrids at 5.5 months, respectively; Additionally, feed efficiency was 1.21 and 1.10 times higher than that of the experimental groups. The experiments were conducted at five temperatures to determine the optimal fry production method. Six weeks of culture resulted in a significant temperature effect, with maximum growth at 27℃. However, over 90% of the males occurred in the groups at temperatures above 24℃. Therefore, the optimum temperatures for survival, growth, condition factor and frequency of the best-sized fingerling at 13 weeks of age were estimated at 21℃. Thus, hybrid flounders are of great potential for use in the flounder aquaculture industry.
Studies were made to optimize the media composition and cultural condition for mycelial growth of Agrocybe cylindracea. Sawdust spawn of media composition for optimal growth was found to be pine sawdust combination of 30% wheat bran and poplar sawdust combination of 20% corn bran were the best of the optimal combination. The optimal concentration of white sugar was 1.0~1.5%. The nitrogen sources was found to be yeast extract and soybean powder. Also, optimal concentration were $0.7g/{\ell}$ and $0.1g/{\ell}$, respectively. The mineral sources of optimal medium compositions were $MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O\;0.3g/{\ell}$, $KH_2PO_4\;0.5g/{\ell}$ and $K_2HPO\;1.2g/{\ell}$. Optimal amount of inoculum for cultivation of A. cylindracea were $20{\sim}25g/850m{\ell}$ and $25m{\ell}/850m{\ell}$ in the sawdust spawn and liquid spawn, respectively.
