COVID 19 방역행동에 있어서 낙관적 편견과 통제성 편향의 영향에 관한 연구 (The Study on the impact of optimistic bias and control illusion in COVID 19 Preventive Behavior)

  • 본 연구는 지각된 취약성(Perceived Susceptibility)에 있어서 왜곡현상이라고 할 수 있는 낙관적 편견 외에, 지각된 통제성(Percived Controllbility)에 있어서의 왜곡현상인 통제성 편향(Illusion of Control)을 포함하여 이들 두 변인이 COVID 19 관련 개인방역행동 및 사회적 거리두기 실천과 어떠한 영향관계를 가지는지 검증하고자 하였다.이를 위해 마크로밀 엠브레인의 온라인 패널을 활용하여 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 마스크 착용, 손씻기, 손소독제 사용 등의 개인방역행동을 독립변인으로 하여, 통제성 편향과 낙관적 편견에 어떻게 영향을 주는지를 분석하고, 아울러 낙관적 편견이 사회적 거리두기에 어떠한 영향을 주는지를 회귀분석방법을 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과, COVID 19 개인방역행동 중 손씻기 실천을 제외하고는 통제성 편향에 유의적인 영향을 주고 있지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 통제성 편향이 낙관적 편견에 영향을 주는 변인인 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 성별과 연령 등 인구학적 변인에 따라 개인방역행동이 통제성 편향에 주는 영향, 통제성 편향이 낙관적 편향에 주는 영향, 그리고 낙관적 편향이 사회적 거리두기에 주는 영향이 다르게 나타났다. 이는 향후 사회적 거리두기 촉진을 위한 개입 프로그램을 마련하는 과정에서 타겟별 차별화된 전략 및 메시지를 마련할 수 있는 근거를 제시해 줄 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

알루미늄 다이캐스팅 공정에서 사출 슬리브 온도변화에 따른 파단칠층의 거동 (The Behavior of Chill Layers with Temperature Variation of Shot Sleeve in Aluminum Diecasting Process)

  • In this study, the effects of chill layers occurred in shot sleeve on the molten metal filling were analyzed through computer simulation and the behavior of chill layers with temperature variation of shot sleeve set from 200 to $280^{\circ}C$ was also investigated. The simulation results showed the chill layers set in the in-gates during the injection process change the main filling direction and cause turbulent flow pattern, resulting in porosities inside the castings. The amount of chill layers with the increasing temperature of shot sleeve was considerably reduced. And particularly, at the setting temperature of $280^{\circ}C$ by heat control unit, the big reduction in chill layers, excellent trimmed surface and the highest densification were achieved, suggesting that as the optimal sleeve condition in diecasting, especially for the highly complex parts like valve body.

  • This paper contains the results of the study on the development of fracture and crack propagation in quasi-brittle materials, such as concrete or rocks, using the Discrete Element Method (DEM). A new discrete element numerical model is proposed as the basis for analyzing the inelastic evolution and growth of cracks up to the point of gross material failure. The model is expected to predict the fracture behavior for the quasi-brittle material structure using the elementary aggregate level, the interaction between aggregate materials, and bond cementation. The algorithms generate normal and shear forces between two interfacing blocks and contains two kinds of contact logic, one for connected blocks and the other one for blocks that are not directly connected. The Mohr-Coulomb theory has been used for the fracture limit. In this algorithm the particles are moving based on the connected block logic until the forces increase up to the fracture limit. After passing the limit, the particles are governed by the discrete block logic. In setting up a discrete polygon element model, two dimensional polygons are used to investigate the response of an assembly of different shapes, sizes, and orientations with blocks subjected to simple applied loads. Several examples involving assemblies of particles are presented to show the behavior of the fracture and the failure process.

불확실한 수율과 고객이탈행위를 고려한 강건한 뉴스벤더 모델 (Robust Newsvendor Model With Random Yield and Customer Balking)

  • Purpose: In this paper, we have considered a problem of newsvendor model in an environment of random yields in quality and customer balking behavior, in which only the mean and the variance of the demand are known. In practice, the distributional information of the demand is very limited and only the mean and variance are guessed by experience. In addition, due to the customers balking behavior occurring when the available inventory level decreases, the product's demand becomes a function of inventory level so that the classical newsvendor's optimal order quantity is no longer optimal. Methods: We have developed an optimal order quantity model that enables us to incorporate the random yield of a product and the customer balking information such as a threshold inventory level of balking and the corresponding probability of a sale during the balking. Results: We illustrated the concepts developed here through simple numerical examples and showed the robustness of our model in a various setting of parameters. Conclusion: This paper provides a useful analysis showing that our distribution-specific and distribution-free approach to the optimal order quantity in the newsboy model can act as an effective tools to match supply with demand for these product lines.

  • 모바일 환경에서 휴대폰을 사용하다 보면 무의식적으로 전화를 받지 못하는(Missing call) 상황이 빈번하게 일어난다. 휴대폰에서는 기본적으로 시각 청각 촉각의 다중양식 피드백(Multimodal feedback)을 제공하고 있음에도 불구하고, 이렇게 Missing call 이 발생하는 현상에는 여러 가지 다양한 원인이 존재할 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 원인을 찾기 위해 모바일 환경 내 휴대폰 사용자 행동연구를 실시하여 일반적인 휴대패턴을 분석하고, Missing call과 관련하여 주로 설정하는 수신모드와 휴대패턴의 상호영향을 연구하고자 하였다. 본 연구결과, 모바일 환경에서 휴대폰 수신 탐지능력에는 인지심리학적(감각과 주의관련), 환경적, 행동학적 요인이 영향을 미칠 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 모바일 환경에서 주로 사용하는 수신모드인 진동모드 설정시, 휴대폰 사용자가 속한 환경에 다른 요인들이 복합적으로 존재할 경우 휴대폰 수신에 대한 탐지만족도가 감소함을 확인할 수 있었다.

High-rise Reinforced-concrete Building Incorporating an Oil Damper in an Outrigger Frame and Its Vibration Analysis

  • The reinforced-concrete multi-story shear-wall structure, which can free a building from beams and columns to allow the planning of a vast room, has increasingly been used in Japan as a high-rise reinforced-concrete structure. Since this structural system concentrates the seismic force onto multi-story shear walls inside, the bending deformation of the walls may cause excessive deformation on the upper floors during an earthquake. However, it is possible to control the bending deformation to within a certain level by setting high-strength and rigid beams (outriggers) at the top of the multi-story shear walls; these outriggers restrain the bending behavior of the walls. Moreover, it is possible to achieve high energy dissipation by placing vibration control devices on the outriggers and thus restrain the bending behavior. This paper outlines the earthquake response analysis of a high-rise residential tower to demonstrate the effectiveness of the outrigger frame incorporating vibration control devices.

Social Support Mediated by Cognitive and Behavioral Determinants as Predictors of Body Mass Index among Korean Adolescents: A Structural Equation Model

  • Purpose: This investigation examined a model to predict body mass index in order to prevent later development of obesity among adolescents. The hypothesized model was developed based on the principle of Social Cognitive Theory that social influences predict perceptions of cognition as well as behavior. Method: The 5,770 adolescents, aged 14-18 who participated in this study came from 11 separate school districts in Busan and Kyungnam province of South Korea. The adolescent surveys were administered in a group setting at the participating school. Of the 5770 surveys, adolescents with more than 10 percent missing data in the entire survey were excluded. The final sample contained 4,527 cases. The adolescents were included 2,250 (49.7%) males and 2,277 (50.3%) females. Data was analyzed Pearson correlation coefficients using SPSS 12 program and structural equation model (SEM) using Maximum Likelihood estimation was employed using Amos 5.0. Results: Social support directly affects cognitive determinants. Cognitive determinants directly affect behavior determinants which directly affect BMI. Cognitive and behavioral factors mediated the relationship between social support and BMI (GFI= 0.984, CFI= 0.974, RMSEA=0.031). Conclusion: Social levels should be supportive to help adolescents have healthier behaviors. This support can be accomplished by providing frequent support to establish positive cognitive factors as the foundation of the solution to prevent overweight and obesity.

점성유체 중에 회전하는 스프링의 추진적 거동에 관한 수치해석 모델 (Numerical Model of Propulsive Behavior of a Rotating Spring in Viscous Fluid)

  • 본 논문에서는 박테리아 편모를 모사한 스프링 모델을 이용하여 박테리아의 편모의 추진적 거동에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 본 해석에서는 상용프로그램을 사용하였으며, 별도의 회전영역 설정에 따른 수치기법의 타당성 확인과 더불어 파라미터 연구를 수행하였다. 수치해석 결과는 전반적으로 Resistive force theory와는 잘 일치하지 않았지만, Slender body theory와는 잘 일치하였다. 그리고 스프링의 회전속도, 피치, 나선반경 및 유체의 점성의 영향을 확인하였다. 또한 벽과의 거리에 따른 효과도 분석하였다.

  • Market segmentation is a key strategic factor in increasing the expected profits, especially in the practice of revenue management. A manufacturing firm should manage both manufacturing quantities and pricing decisions over its segmented markets to maximize the expected profits, setting different price for each different segment. Also, market segments should be kept separate in order to prevent demand leakages between different market segments. In fact, even though the markets for different products are firmly segmented, it is not easy to keep separate segmentation because many products might be substitutable by customer buying behavior. That is, customers respond to price changes by purchasing other market's products instead of purchasing the originally requested products, which causes demand substitution effect ; This kind of substitution is referred to as price-driven substitution. Therefore, decisions on optimal prices should take into account the differences in customers' valuation of the different products. We consider a deterministic model for deciding optimal prices in the presence of price-driven substitution, and we compare both symmetrical-and asymmetrical-type demand substitutions between two segmented markets. The objective of this study is to develop analytical and numerical models to examine the impact of price-driven substitution on the optimal price levels and the total expected profits.

Effect of Bioactive Glass Addition to the TTCP/DCPA Based Injectable Bone Substitute for Improved Biocompatibility

  • In this work, the effect of the addition of bioactive glass in the biocompatibility and mechanical behavior of conventional TTCP/DCPA based bone cement were investigated. The cement was initially modified with chitosan and HPMC which cross-linked with citric acid to improved mechanical properties.The injectable bone substitutes were further modified by adding varying amounts of bioactive glass (0%, 10%, 20% and 30%) and its effects on the biocompatibility of the material were studied. Afterbio-glass powders were mixed with the optimized composition for HPMC and citric acid content,the IBS was incubated at $37^{\circ}C$ at different time intervals and showed progressive formation of HAp with increasing time. Mechanical properties like Vickers hardness and compressive strength were found to increase with the increasing amount of bioactive glass addition and that setting time was shortened. The fabricated IBS morphologies were further characterized using SEM. MTT assay was performed to check the cell cytotoxicity and cell proliferation for 1, 3 and 5 days. Cell morphology, adhesion and proliferation behavior of cell in the IBS by culturing MG-63 cells on the IBS for 20, 60 and 90 mins and 1, 3 and 5 days was also investigated. All the results showed increasing biocompatibility as the bioglass content increased. MTT results found the materials to be cytocompatible and SEM images showed that cells attached and proliferated successfully.
