This paper investigates the subthreshold behavior of Fin Field Effect Transistor (FinFET). The FinFET is considered to be an alternate MOSFET structure for the deep sub-micron regime, having excellent device characteristics. As the channel length decreases, the study of subthreshold behavior of the device becomes critically important for successful design and implementation of digital circuits. An accurate analysis of subthreshold behavior of FinFET was done by simulating the device in a 3D process and device simulator, Taurus. The subthreshold behavior of FinFET, was measured using a parameter called S-factor which was obtained from the $In(I_{DS})\;-\;V_{GS}$ characteristics. The value of S-factor of devices of various fin dimensions with channel length $L_g$ in the range of 20 nm - 50 nm and with the fin width $T_{fin}$ in the range of 10 nm - 40 nm was calculated. It was observed that for devices with longer channel lengths, the value of S-factor was close to the ideal value of 60 m V/dec. The S-factor increases exponentially for channel lengths, $L_g\;<\;1.5\;T_{fin}$. Further, for a constant $L_g$, the S factor was observed to increase with $T_{fin}$. An empirical relationship between S, $L_g$ and $T_{fin}$ was developed based on the simulation results, which could be used as a rule of thumb for determining the S-factor of devices.
The objective of this study was to examine the effects of appearance management behaviors on career decision level among female college students. Based on previous studies on appearance management behaviors and career decision level, the items for a questionnaire were developed. For the study, we conducted a questionnaire survey among 292 students from women's university in Seoul. Factor analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were performed using SPSS statistics 23. Results of this study are as follows. First, the factor structure of appearance management behavior had three factors: 'fashion & hair,' 'skin & plastic surgery,' and 'body shape.' The reliability and validity of the factor structure were proved. Second, a significant correlation was found between sub-factors in appearance management behaviors. Career decision level showed a significant correlation only with body management factor. Third, the appearance management behavior of female college students was found to have a partially significant effect on career decision level. For higher grade students, fashion & hair factor and body shape factor had positive effects on career decision level. For lower grade students, body shape factor had a positive effect on career decision level while skin & plastic surgery factor had a negative effect on career decision level. Therefore, to increase career decision level, managing appearance through keeping fit body shape is crucial. This study also suggests that as one elevates to a higher grade, the importance of management and keeping interest toward fashion is important.
The purpose of this study was to validate the Child Behavior Checklist(CBCL) with a population of Korean children. Subjects were 415 mothers of fourth and sixth graders selected from five elementary schools in Seoul. The CBCL(Achenbach, 1991) and the Child Behavior Questionnaire(CBQ; Rutter et als., 1970) were used as a methodological instrument. Statistics used for data analysis were ${\chi}^2$, Cramer's V, factor analysis, Pearson's r, and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$. The major findings were that 102 items of the 107-item scale were found acceptable through the item discriminant method. Nine factors (anxious behavior, hyperactive behavior, immature behavior, delinquent behavior, aggressive behavior, withdrawn behavior, thought problems, somatic complaints, other problems) were extracted by factor analysis. The correlation between the CBCL and the CBQ was examined to test criterion-related validity, and the coefficient was significant (r=.78, p<.001). Finally, the internal consistency of the CBCL appeared to be at an acceptable level (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$=.83).

This study confirmed the effect of manager's communication type perceived by organizational members on innovative behavior and the mediating effect of organizational culture. In other words, the manager's communication type was statistically positive for organizational members' innovation behavior (Hypothesis 1) and organizational culture (Hypothesis 2). Organizational culture improved innovative behavior of organizational members (Hypothesis 3). In addition, organizational culture played a mediating role between the manager's communication type and organizational members' innovative behavior (Hypothesis 4). In other words, the importance of improving the innovative behavior of organizational members, which is a key factor for advancing organizational sustainability management, was confirmed. It was confirmed that the manager's communication type and organizational culture act as a key factor for the advancement of innovative behavior. Therefore, executives and managers confirmed the importance of systematic managers' communication-type competency development and organizational culture revitalization plans and the necessity of implementing them in order to improve innovative behavior.
The diffusion of oxygen atoms on tungsten (110) surface is studied by comparison of experiment results and recent calculations. It has been suggested that the thermodynamic factor which is inversely proportional to be compressibility has strong temperature dependence which may cause non-Arrhenius behavior of diffusion coefficient. Recent experiments, however, indicate effectively no temperature dependence of this factor and support the view that non-Arrhenius behavior originates from the dynamic factor rather than the thermodynamic factor. Discrepancies in coverage dependence of physical quantities between theory and experiment are discussed.
The relationship among food behavior, psychological factor(life strees) and perceive tiredness was investigated in 514 adolescents. Tiredness was measured in four cases: in lessons, before school, in the early evening and at weekends. Adolescents felt most tired in lessons and before school, and leat at weekends. Irregularity of meal times and skipping breakfast were positively correlated with tiredness in lessons and befor school. Consumption of some foods was related to perceived tiredness. High sugar or fat containing ice-cream, hamburger of fizzy drinks in boys, and crisps and cookies in girls were positively associated with tiredness. Whereas beans and mushrooms were negatively associated with tiredness in girls. Life stress(by scholastic problem and personal problem) of adolescents was positively related to tiredness. The contribution of stress to tiredness was much greater than of food behavior according to multiple linear regression .There was no relationship between nutrients intake and tiredness in lessons and before school which were more strongly influenced by stress, whereas the relationship was found at weekend without influences of stress. The more tired, the lower NARs(nutrient adequacy ratio) of energy, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin B$_2$, and niacin were. In conclusion, some eating behavior and psychological factor can cause tiredness in adolescents, but tiredness in school and before school had more of a psychological cause than at weekend. This study was conducted in order to develop a parenting behavior scale for parents of school-age children and to analyze the scale in terms of both reliability and validity. Data were collected from a sample of mothers of $1^{st}$ to 3rd grade students in four elementary schools located in Seoul. 778 mothers were administered a parenting behavior scale with 123 items, and 779 mothers were asked to verify the validity of the developed scale in which 45 items remained after a series of analyses. Data were analyzed by means of exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and correlation analysis. The results of factor analysis identified five factors, Warmth, Reasoning, Intrusiveness, Coercion, and Neglect. The Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ of each factor demonstrated results of .82~.86, suggesting that the scale had adequate internal consistency. Concurrent validity was established by using correlations between mothers' parenting behaviors and children's social competence. Moreover, cross-validation was also verified for the five factors. Considering the reliability and validity of this scale, it can clearly serve as a useful tool for assessing parenting behavior which is closely related to child development.
Purpose: The study was designed to develop an instrument to measure risk factor-related deviant behavior (RFRDB) for the elderly. Methods: The preliminary instrument including 52 items to measure the risk factor-related deviant behavior for the elderly was developed through conceptual framework based literature review. The items were reviewed by experts to reveal the Content Validity Index (CVI). Then, construct validity and reliability were tested using factor analysis, comparative groups, and Cronbach's alpha with data from 233 elderly. Results: Among 52 items, 27 questions in the RFRDB instrument were selected from content validity and 21 questions in the final RFRDB were developed from testing validity and reliability. Results of empirical analysis(retest) of RFRDB were supported by 70% congruity with conceptual framework through literature review. The RFRDB has been completed by validity testing by known-group technique. The final developed RFRDB of the elderly has 21 questions each with a 4-point Likert Scale. Conclusion: The RFRDB may be utilized as a measurement to assess the risk of elderly deviant behavior.

In the design of buildings, lateral loading is one of the most important factors considered by structural designers. The concept of performance-based design (PBD) is well developed for seismic load. Whereas, wind design is mainly based on elastic analysis for both serviceability and strength. For tall buildings subject to extreme wind load, inelastic behavior and application of the concept of PBD bear consideration. For seismic design, current practice primarily presumes inelastic behavior of the structure and that energy is dissipated by plastic deformation. However, due to analysis complexity and computational cost, calculations used to predict inelastic behavior are often performed using elastic analysis and a response modification factor (R). Inelastic analysis is optionally performed to check the accuracy of the design. In this paper, a framework for application of an R factor for wind design is proposed. Theoretical background on the application and implementation is provided. Moreover, seismic and wind fatigue issues are explained for the purpose of quantifying the modification factor R for wind design.
Effects of resin contents, number of carbonization, graphitization, sliding speed, and oxidation on friction and wear behavior of carbon/carbon composite materials were investigated. Friction and wear tests were carried out under various sliding conditions. An experimental setup was designed and built in the laboratory. Stainless steel disks were used as the counterface material. Friction coefficient, emperature, and wear factor were measured with a data acquisition system. Wear surfaces were observed by the scanning electron microscope. It has been shown that the average friction coefficient was increased with the sliding speed in the range of 1.43~6.10 m/s, but it as decreased in the range of 6.10~17.35 m/s. Specimens prepared by different numbers of carbonization. showed variations in friction coefficient and friction coefficient of the graphitized specimen was the highest. Friction coefficients depended on contribution of the plowing and adhesive components. As the number of carbonization was increased, wear factor was reduced. Wear factor of the graphitized specimens dropped further. In the case of graphitized specimens, sliding speed had a large influence on wear behavior. When the tribological experiments were conducted in nitrogen atmosphere, the wear factor was decreased to two thirds of the wear factor obtained in air. It is obvious that the difference was affected by oxidation. Results of friction and wear tests were applied to a neural network system based on the backpropagation algorithm. A neural network may be a valuable tool for prediction of tribological behavior of the carbon/carbon composite material if ample data are present.
