Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate the effects of Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture therapy in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods : We investigated 16 patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. We divided patients into two groups : Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture was performed with acupuncture therapy for one group, and the other group received acupuncture therapy only. To evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment applied to the two groups, we used the Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and the Oswestry Low-back Pain Disability Index(ODI). We compared the VAS and ODI scores of the two groups statistically. Results : The Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture group received more effective relief than the acupunctureonly group as measured by decreasedpain and disability reported on the VAS and ODI by patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Conclusions: Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture therapy can be used in addition to acupuncture therapy for highly effective treatment of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Further clinical studies are needed to verify these findings.

Methods : We investigated 28 cases of patients with thoracolumbar compression fracture. We divided patients into two groups : We treated one group with complex oriental medical treatment focusing on Bee Venom Acupuncture therapy, and did the other group with complex oriental medical treatment focusing on acupuncture therapy. To investigate the effectiveness of treatment applied for two groups, we used Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and Oswestry Low-back Pain Disability Index(ODI). We compared the VAS score and ODI score of two groups statistically. Results : 1. Female is prominent in distribution of sex, the average age bracket is 70's, and the largest group was Faccidental fall in the distribution of cause. 2. In regard to level of injury, T12 was found to be most prominent, followed in turn by L1, L2. In regard to grade of clinical symptoms, Grade III was most prominent, followed by Grade IV, Grade II. 3. As a result of evaluation by using VAS score and ODI score, treatment score at final was significantly different from that at the baseline in each group. 4. After treatment, Bee Venom acupuncture therapy group showed significant difference on VAS score and ODI score compared with acupuncture therapy group. Conclusions : Bee Venom acupuncture therapy can be available for relieving symptoms related with thoracolumbar compression fracture.

Objective : Cold Urticaria is a symptom of edema and pruritus that appear when a patient is exposed to the coldness. The effect of Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy is antiinflammatory, pain-killing, and blood circulation promotion. The aim of this study is to report the effect of Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy to Cold Urticaria. Methods : The Cold Urticaria patients were treated with Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy. Result and Conclusion : Edema and Pruritus of Cold Urticaria patient improved after Bee-venom Acpuncture Therapy.

We have studied Bee Venom Therapy to treat Sequalae of Sprain, and obtained following results. 1. The treatment of sprain is using the effect of the affected part on Bee Venom Therapy. 2. For the treatment of sprain, it is often used the near acupuncture point of injury(近位取穴) or painful point to press(阿是穴). 3. Bee Venom Therapy is one of the powerful treatment, so we are using the sequalae of sprain in the case of not cured by Acupuncture, Cupping or another therapy. 4. Bee Venom injection is started a small quantity, and is increased slowly by degrees. 5. The immune response by Bee Venom Therapy is a sort of Allergy, and it is classified large delayed reaction. It is considered positive reaction. 6. We have selected Acupuncture Points from one to four by the degree of injury. 7. The period of treatment is some different from the degree of injury, but generally we have obtained good results to treat from 5 to 20 by Bee Venom Therapy.

Objectives : This study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Bee Venom acupuncture therapy on sprain of C-spine by randomized controlled double blinding method. Methods : A randomized double blinding study of bee venom acupuncture therapy was conducted on sprain of C-spine. We divided sprain of C-spine patient into 2 groups: one group with both acupuncture and saline acupuncture therapy, and another group with both acupuncture and bee venom acupuncture therapy. To estimate the efficacy of treatment that applied for two groups, we used visual analog scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI). We compared the VAS and NDI score of two groups statistically. Results : STZ induced increase of serum creatinine, BUN and albumin secretion were lowered by AD-1 treatment.

Objective The purpose of this study was to report the efficiency of Bee Venom Pharmacopunture Therapy by managering of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia patients. Method Two patients were treated with Bee Venom Pharmacopunture and another Korean Medicine therapy for six weeks and compared with I-PSS(International Prostate Symptom Score) before and after. Results After treated with Bee Venom Pharmacopunture Therapy, 'I-PSS' values decreased significantly all the patients. Conclusions Bee Venom Pharmacopunture Therapy was shown fairly effective to Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia.

Objective: To evaluate the treatment effect of Bee-venom Acupuncture on Neck Pain, which is well known for anti-inflammatory effect and function of activating immune system. Methods : We investigated 22 cases of patients with Neck Pain induced by soft tissue injury. One group was treated by Bee-venom Acupuncture therapy (Bee-venom Acupuncture Group :BA), the other group was treated by General Acupuncture therapy (None Bee-venom Acupuncture Group :GA). We evaluated the treatment effect of each group by few statistical analysis such as frequency analysis, Mann Whitney U test and spearman correlation analysis. Results : 1. In the age distribution of both groups, we found the highest frequency at the interval 35 to 45 years old. And in the number of medical treatment, Both groups show the highest frequency at the interval of less than four times. 2. BA was significantly decreased in VAS and clinical grade compared with GA. 3. We found significant correlation between period and number of treatment. So did we between VAS and clinical grade. Conclusion : As a result of thorough investigation, we could come to a conclusion that Bee-venom Acupuncture Group might have a notable effect on VAS and clinic grade.

Objective : In this study, we have discovered that Korean Bee-Venom therapy is effective in treating various hip joint diseases. For example, A vacular Necrosis, Degenerative Arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis. Methods & Results: We have treated three cases of affections of the hip(eg. Degenerative arthritis, Rheumatoid arthritis and Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head) with Korean Bee-Venom therapy and herbal acupuncture treatments. For acupuncture, Korean Bee-Venom therapy was observed for its pain relieving effects. Korean Bee-Venom therapy was treated on the following acupuncture points: GB29(Koryo), GB30(Hwando:環跳), ST36(Chok-samni:足三理). As the results of these treatments, a little change of inflammation around the hip joint on X-ray scan study was observed. but the degree of pain and range of motion were improved. in addition to general conditions of the patients. Conclusions: Based on the clinical results, Korean Bee-Venom therapy is believed to be effective for treating Avascular Necrosis of Femoral Head, Degenerative arthritis and Rheumatoid arthritis of hip joint. However, it is expected that further studies should be conducted to provide more objective information.

Objective : This study shows the clinical effects on Bee-venom acupuncture and Burning acupuncture therapy for a patient who was diagnosed as Rheumatoid arthritis with ankle pain. Methods : This study was carried out a patient who was diagnosed as Rheumatoid arthritis with ankle pain. The patient was treated by Bee-venom acupuncture, Burning acupuncture therapy. To evaluate the effect of treatment, measured grade of pain by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Result and Conclusion: The ankle pain was reduced from VAS 10 to VAS 2 and the patient could walk on foot. In this study, Bee-venom acupuncture, Burning acupuncture therapy was effective in arthralgia of Rheumatoid arthritis.

Objective : This study was performed to examine the Magnetic therapy decrease the allergic reaction of Bee Venom. Methods : We injected BV to sample group(n=10) and control group(n=10) at 2 points of body, and also sample group was treated with Magnetic therapy additionally. We observed the change of local pain, pruritus, color difference value at 1 hour, 24 hours after injection. Results : Local pain, pruritus and color difference value of sample group were more decreased than control group. Conclusions : The Magnetic therapy decreased allergic reaction of Bee Venom.
