The voided slab have many advantages, light weight, high load-distribution capacity, low cost and beautiful appearance, etc. But they have also many cracks due to difficulties in designs and construction, analysis, shrinkage, installation and rising force of voided tube. This paper presents the retrofit effects with steel plate(SP)/carbon fiber sheet(CFS) of RC voided slab. As a results of this study, it proved that the strip pattern has to be profitable than full-face pattern in performance such as crack, ultimate loads, stiffness. Retrofit length has many influence on retrofit effects, as the length increases, performance and stability of end blocks higher. Also, it proved that the retrofit on full-section has to be profitable than voided-section in performance, and the overlay length of CFS is desirable to extent approximately and welding(V-cut) has to be efficient than anchors in SP connection. But the kinds of end block and anchor has not influence on retrofit effects.

Remembering a meaning of fashion started in the early 20C, Paul Poiret is one of the most important designer. If so, what does his achievements and assessment his costume design have to be？ That is the spirit of his design. Through the creation of the new style which is totally different from a period before, introduction of the vivid color, the new line and the enthusiasm of the fashion business, he showed the roll and the possibility of the modern designer. In Poiret's women's costume, harmonious beauty of women could be discovered in beautiful color which was not used in the 19th and elegance line. Furthermore, in the creation of the color and style, he got a strong influence by the art of early 20C's Europe. This was an opportunity that todays fashion has treated as a part of the or her art, and many modern designers are contacting with the art. The excellent ability in the fashion business has the composite as total fashion. Fashion business including perfumes, cosmetics furnitures, accessories is a model for most designers who follows him.

A human body can be called the scale of all things and the most perfect and sensual presentation of form. Its beautiful proportion has been used as the most important measure of all the natural organic beings. The attitude of research based on the human scale is so traditional both in East and West, and especially in the field of architecture. It has been the ground of most standards in various buildings and cities from the ancient times. This study aims to examine the way the human body has been investigated in history and to find out how it is applied and expressed as the scale in architecture or interior spaces. It takes a step forward from mere research of proportion by studying even the emotional and psychological relations between space and human beings. It may contribute to the creation of the space for human beings.

A new emotion-based image retrieval method is proposed in this paper. The research was motivated by Soen's evaluation of human emotion on color patterns. Thirteen pairs of adjective words expressing emotion pairs such as like-dislike, beautiful-ugly, natural-unnatural, dynamic-static, warm-cold, gay-sober, cheerful-dismal, unstablestable, light-dark, strong-weak, gaudy-plain, hard-soft, heavy-light are modeled by 19-dimensional color array and $4{\times}3$ gray matrix in off-line. Once the query is presented in text format, emotion model-based query formulation produces the associated color array and gray matrix. Then, images related to the query are retrieved from the database based on the multiplication of color array and gray matrix, each of which is extracted from query and database image. Experiments over 450 images showed an average retrieval rate of 0.61 for the use of color array alone and an average retrieval rate of 0.47 for the use of gray matrix alone.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research trends on effortful control with a focus on those found in academic journals. This was done in an attempt to understand the conception of effortful control clearly and lay the foundations for future studies. An analysis was performed on frequencies by years, methodology, and content. Results showed that (1) 95 research articles on effortful control were published between January of 1999 and June of 2010. (2) Most research participants were school-aged children. (3) There were a number of ways that researchers have assessed the concept of effortful control, and the most frequently used measurement scale was the Rothbart's questionnaire for temperament. (4) The main content of the research was the relationships between effortful control and developmental domains (particularly, emotional and social development). More recently, researches examining environmental factors including family and peer environment have increased.

This thesis investigated construction aims, transitions, and preservation strategies through literatures, old documents, old maps, drawings, and photos and attained results as followings. 'Namganjeongsa' was built and located, centering on the thoughts of 'Song Si Yeol' who adored '$zh{\bar{u}}z{\check{i}}xu{\acute{e}}$'. 'Song Si Yeol' constructed 'Namganjeongsa' on a valley which was situated at a beautiful surrounding with a stream. No writing mentioned that he constructed 'Namganjeongsa', for there was a pond. It seems that the pond was constructed, going through many transitions, after its construction. Neighboing circumstances were damaged when 'Gigukjeong was moved in, 'Namgansa' was constructed, and 'Uamsajeok Park' was formed. So, preservation of cultural assets, together with buildings and environment of location, are meaningful.

Changing to a 24-hour urbanistic life style, a night time activities constituted for a major portion. Important of a beautiful exterior lighting as well as safety, and security concerns become increasingly. However, the removal or control of the excessive lighting is considered more important then increasing the brightness of the lamps to achieve bother safety and security. Representing a cheerful and leisure environment from the exterior lighting can also harmonize two aspects of energy saving and sustaining green environment. Designing of exterior lighting at the ＯＯ Agricultural & Fishery Circulation center symbolizes the suitability, convenience and production. It's design and analysis represent the optimum urban night time environment.

Many urban people are attracted to the recreational opportunities and attractions of rural areas, such as beautiful scenery, lakes, mountains, forests, and resorts. Furthermore, rural development planning increasingly emphasizes the integration of resource extractive industries with non-market-based recreational and amenity values. This article outlines a method to estimate an amenity level of rural areas such as natural amenities index and shows the relation of the natural amenity and population growth. The results revealed that natural amenity classifying each region can be explained with geographical characteristics, temperature-humidity, and sunshine duration time. In analysis with population, natural amenity does not exactly explain that but can be one of the important factor of population change.

In the 21st century, men is expressing the femininity instead of the muscularity. And a boundary line between a man and a woman is not clear any more. A man is interested in the lifestyle of a woman, and he imitates her fashion styles, hairstyles, accessories, make-up, and plastic surgery. He is called as "Metrosexual" or "Crossexual". Nowadays, men as well as women can satisfy the wants for beauty. The beautiful appearance of a man has a good impact on the social relationships. The feminizing trends are generally accepted and are shown in the silhouettes, details, colors, fabrics and accessories. The feminizing trends in men's knitwear are shown in the various items. They have slim silhouettes and feminine details. Also they are made of bulky yarns or fancy yarns, and various stitches for texture effects. The most outstanding changes in men's knitwear are the vivid colors and flower patterns.

This study analyzed silhouette expressions in the fashion illustrations by theory based on results of studying the characteristics of the forms and meanings of the silhouette expressions in art historically. For the actual considering this study collected and categorized fashion illustrations from 1990 to the present limitedly, and clarified the meaning of the silhouette expressions. Those expressions in fashion illustrations were categorized to the 5 items; black & white silhouette, color silhoutte, pattern silhouette, paper silhouette, line silhouette. Silhouette expressions of the fashion illustrations were categorized to 3 items: metaphorical fantasy, essential minimization, anonymous representation.
