In order to identify the qualities of employment, employment was classified into 3 types: all employment, employment in decent jobs and employment in the top 500 companies. Results are as follows: For all employment and decent jobs, GPA and comprehensive reasoning were the meaningful variables. The subjects of the study were 227 students in the 4th grade in the college of nursing. Clinical competence based on the general characteristics of the subject, critical thinking disposition, and core basic nursing skills achievement was conducted by an independent t-test, pearson's corelation coefficient, and linear regression model was used for statistical analysis to investigate factors influencing clinical competence. The results showed that intellectual fairness of critical thinking, achievement in middle and low level of core basic nursing skills had an effect on nursing students' clinical competence, and the higher score had the better clinical competence. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to improve intellectual fairness and core basic nursing achievement of nursing students and to prepare an educational program to develop the achievement of high level.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the learning style, learning efficacy, transfer of learning, and confidence in performance competence of Core Basic Nursing Skills (CBNS) and factors influencing confidence in performance competence of CBNS by nursing students. Methods: A descriptive study design was used. Participants were 148 nursing students. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 for descriptive statistics, ANCOVA, correlation and regression. Results: Learning styles of the participants were assimilator 33.11%, accommodator 26.35%, diverger 23.65%, and converger 16.89%. Learning efficacy was significantly different according to learning styles, however, transfer of learning and confidence in performance competence of CBNS were not significantly different according to learning styles. Confidence in performance competence of CBNS positively correlated with transfer of learning and learning efficacy. Transfer of learning was a significant predictor of confidence in performance competence of CBNS. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that transfer of learning influences confidence in performance competence of CBNS. Thus, nursing faculty should develop educational strategies to enhance and improve transfer of learning, and development of effective confidence in performance competence of CBNS programs.

For that, the factor of the job competence, which is required of the staff of the CTL, was inquired through a literature review. Based on the job competence, this study examined the required job competence of the staff in Daejeon city and Chungnam province. The result suggests that the job competence required of staff are the basic job competence, planning-analysis job competence, management job competence for the project, and evaluation job competence. The first factor in basic job competence is the attitude to change and innovation. In the planning-analysis job competence, the first factor is an analysis and consultation of instruction. In managing the job competence for the project, the first factor is the management of human resources, and the first factor in evaluating the job competence is an evaluation of the effectiveness of the media. Therefore, to revitalize the CTL, there is a need to organize an expert pool, plan and support program that is suitable for professional development.

  • This study examined the effects of reeducation of core basic nursing skills on competence, confidence and anxiety in nursing students. We collected the data from 176 2nd grade nursing students. Reeducation of core basic nursing skills was conducted from December 20th to 23rd, 2016. Data were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 program. As the result of reeducation, significant improvement was found in competence(t=-11.57, p<.001), confidence(t=-10.21, p<.001) and considerable decrease was recognized in anxiety(t=-4.76, p<.001). In conclusion, reeducation of core basic nursing skills can help students to improve their overall competence and confidence, and also to reduce their anxieties as they start their first clinical practice. Therefore we suggest that more systematic and continual reeducation of core basic nursing skills should be applied to each grade of nursing students who are facing their clinical practice in hospital

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationships between perceived parental attachment and the life satisfaction of college students, focusing on the mediating role of psychological basic needs(autonomy, competence and relatedness). The Participants of this study were 208 college students. The result was statistically treated using SPSS 21.0 program, Amos 21.0. Additionally, PROCESS Macro was used to verify the significant mediating effect. Results from structural equation modeling analyses indicated that a research model produced a better fit to the data than a alternative structural model. The final SEM model fit indices of $x^2$(df), CFI, TLI, RMSEA were met the acceptable criteria of model fitness. In other words, among the goodness-of-fit indexes of the final study model, $x^2=261.075$(p<.001), RMSEA is .082, TLI equals .925, CFI equals .940. The results showed the following: First, Parental attachment has a direct effect on autonomy, competence and relatedness. Also competence and relatedness have a direct effect on the life satisfaction. Second, Competence and relatedness showed a mediating effects on Parental attachment and the life satisfaction. The implications of these results were discussed and the further studies were suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of convergence-based reeducation of core basic nursing skills (subcutaneous injection, indwelling catheterization) on competence, knowledge, attitude and confidence for nursing students. Subjects were 34 nursing students and 3rd grade. Experimental treatment and data collection was conducted from December 14 to 29, 2013. Skills for subcutaneous injection including simple blood glucose test and indwelling catheterization were evaluated before and after intervention. Knowledge, attitude and confidence were measured using structured questionnaires. Data were analyzed by the frequency, descriptive statistics and paired t-test using SPSS version 21. As a result, after reeducation, significant improvement was found in competence (p<.001), knowledge (p<.001) and confidence (p<.001) in subcutaneous injection and indwelling catheterization. Convergence-Based reeducation program was found effective to enhance the competence of core basic nursing skills before graduating nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to continue to develop program and to evaluate the effects with further research.
