This study have goal with conceptual design for Offshore Structures of high pressure control valve for localization. Ball valve for development accomplished with flow analysis based on provision of ANSI B16.34, ANSI B16.10, ANSI B16.25 In order to localize the Offshore Structures high pressure control valve. Numerical simulation using CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamic) in order to predict a mass flow rate and a flow coefficient form flow dynamic point of view. The working fluid assumed the glycerin($C_3H_8O_3$). The valve inlet and outlet setup a pressure boundary condition. The outlet pressure was fixed by atmospheric pressure and calculated until increasing 1bar to 10bar. CFD analysis used STAR-CCM+ which is commercial code and Governing equations were calculated by moving mesh which is rotated 90 degrees when ball valve operated opening and closing in 1 degree interval. The result shows change of mass flow rate according to opening and closing angle of valve. Flow decrease observed open valve that equal percentage flow paten which is general inclination of ball valve. Relation with flow and flow coefficient can not be proportional according to inlet pressure when compare with mass flow rate. Because flow coefficient have influence in flow and pressure difference. Namely, flow can be change even if it has same Cv value. The structural analysis used ANSYS which is a commercial code. Stress analysis result of internal pressure in valve showed lower than yield strength. This is expect to need more detail design and verification for stem and seat structure.

In order to improve the productivity and the yield at assembling line of finished goods' manufacturers, it is necessary that the fabricated parts are supplied to the assembly line not only just in time (JIT) but also just in sequence (JIS). Parts that are not delivered just in time can cause assembly line to be delayed, and parts that are not delivered just in sequence can cause assembly line to be halted or defected products. For JIT and JIS implementation, in the paper we propose the smart pallet based just-in-sequence parts delivery system in which RFID and USN technologies are converged. Compared with the bar-code based just-in-sequence parts delivery system, the proposed system can reduce unnecessary time for confirming parts' type and sequence and unnecessary cost by bar-code labeling and sequence data' documenting. The proposed system also can overcome the drawbacks of the RFID based just-in-sequence parts delivery system such as transmission range limit and difficulties of confirming parts' type and sequence in real time. Finally, we show the implementation of the proposed system, and its practicality.

The existing ship repair tool management system based on hand writing has many problems such as frequent loss of tool and overdue. To solve this problem, same systems have adopted the bar-code system. However, the systems can't cope with a problem to substitute spurious tool for genuine one on bar-code damage. Therefore, additional validation steps are necessary in order to manage expensive ship repair tool. In this paper, we propose an image comparison method for ship repair tool management. To be more concrete, we propose a normalization method and determination conditions for image comparison to use characteristics of mobile device. The normalization method makes use of the characteristics of mobile device that provides functions of real time recording, overlapping and cropping images. The proposed method applies three conditions(sum of inner angles, size of angle, position of corner coordinates) into the comparison module. The implemented system shows good performance on change direction, lighting, size and etc. The accuracy is more than 95%.
Augmented reality technology was invented for military purposes at the beginning. But the development of wireless and location based technology in 2000s makes AR services reach the age of innovation. Especially, it attracts attention as a media which enriches our perception. There is a potential that it can extend the virtual information in the real world from optical sense to auditory, tactile, and olfactory sense. This study proposed the interactive information service system and method based on AR. To do it, technical background on AR was analyzed and a method to apply the technology was examined. Especially, as a eco service, this study proposed new information service using 2D bar code in a library for user need and convenience in ubiquitous environment. The proposed service system can optimize practical utilization of information resources in virtual and real reality as consolidating analog and digital resources in a library.

This study gives the vertical motion analysis in multi-directional irregular waves using a commercial code(MAXSURF v.16) based on linear strip theory for a training ship. To verify the commercial code prior to the analysis, we guarantees the reliability of this paper's results using the commercial code by comparing with the results(Flokstra, 1974) of same hull and experimental conditions on a Panamax container. The analysis conditions are Beaufort wind scale No. 5($\bar{T}=5.46$, $H_{1/3}=2m$) based on ITTC wave spectrum, encounter angle Head & bow seas($150^{\circ}$) and Froude number Fn=0.257. Finally, we calculates heave RAO, pitch RAO and obtains the result of ship's response spectra for heave and pitch motions. In the motion response spectrum under the multi-directional irregular waves, heave motion reacts slightly high in short-crested waves and pitch motion reacts high in long-crested waves.
Facing a number of global food-related accidents, the concept and system for food traceability have been designed and introduced in many countries to manage the food-safety risks. To connect and harmonize the various food traceability-information in food traceability system according to the food supply chain, the coding system of identification-number for food-traceability has to be standardized. The GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) barcode system which has been globally standardized and implemented, is reviewed with the mandatory food-labeling regulation in expiration date of processed foods. The integration of GTIN-13 bar-code system for food-traceability is a crucial factor to expand its function in the food-related industrial areas. In this literature, the standard coding system of identification-number for food-traceability is proposed with 20 digit coding number which is combined with GTIN-13 bar-code (13 digit), expiration date (6 digit), and additional classification code (1 digit). This proposed standard coding system for identification-number has a several advantages in application for prohibiting the sale of hazard goods, food-recall, and inquiring food traceability-information. And also, this proposed coding system could enhance the food traceability system by communicating and harmonizing the information with the national network such as UNI-PASS and electronic Tax-invoice system. For the global application, the identification-number for food-traceability needs to be cooperated with the upcoming global standards such as GTIN-128 bar-code and GS1 DataBar.
Dynamic shear tests for the tough-pitch copper at high strain and high strain rate was performed. The Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar (SHPB) compression test system was modified to yield a shear deformation in the specimen. Hat-shaped specimens for the tough-pitch copper were adopted to generate high strain of γ=3~4 and high strain-rate of γ= 10$^4$/s. The dynamic analysis by ABAQUS 5.5/EXPLICIT code verified that shear zone can be localized in hat-shaped specimens. A proper impact velocity and the axial length of the shear localization region wert determined through the elastic wave analysis. The displacement in a hat-shaped specimen is limited by a spacer ring which was installed between the specimen and the incident bar. The shear bands were obtained by measuring the direction of shear deformation and the width of deformed grain in the shear zone. The decrease of specimen length has been measured on the optical displacement transducer. Dynamic shear stress-strain relations in the tough-pitch copper were obtained at two strain-rates.
Three points bending flexural test was modeled numerically to study the crack propagation in the pre-cracked beams. The pre-existing edge cracks in the beam models were considered to investigate the crack propagation and coalescence paths within the modeled samples. The effects of particle size on the single edge-notched round bar in bending test were considered too. The results show that Failure pattern is constant by increasing the ball diameter. Tensile cracks are dominant mode of failure. These crack initiates from notch tip, propagate parallel to loading axis and coalescence with upper model boundary. Number of cracks increase by decreasing the ball diameter. Also, tensile fracture toughness was decreased with increasing the particle size. In the present study, the influences of particles sizes on the cracks propagations and coalescences in the brittle materials such as rocks and concretes are numerically analyzed by using a three dimensional particle flow code (PFC3D). These analyses improve the understanding of the stability of rocks and concretes structures such as rock slopes, tunnel constructions and underground openings.

Generally significant reinforcement is used for nuclear power plant structures and may cause potential problems when concrete is poured. In particular pouring concrete into structural member joint area is more difficult than other areas since the joint area is very congested due to hooked bars, embedded plates, and other reinforcements. The purpose of this study is to solve the problem by applying high-strength(ASTM A615 Gr. 75/80) bars. In addition large-sized(#14 & #18) headed deformed bar could be used as alternative of standard hooked bars to relieve the congestion to some extent. In order to apply headed deformed bars to nuclear power plant structures effectively, the large-sized diameter bars and the high-strength bars shall be used as thick as clear cover thickness 1". Therefore, test results were obtained by taking bar size, yield strength, and clear cover thickness as variables.

A thermodynamic cycle analysis is performed for refrigerator-precooled Linde-Hampson hydrogen liquefiers, including catalysts for the ortho-to-para conversion. Three different configurations of the liquefying system, depending upon the method of the o-p conversion, are selected for the analysis. After some simplifying and justifiable assumptions are made, a general analysis program to predict the liquid yield and the figure of merit (FOM) is developed with incorporating the commercial computer code for the thermodynamic properties of hydrogen. The discussion is focused on the effect of the two primary design parameters - the precooling temperature and the high pressure of the cycle. When the precooling temperature is in a range between 45 and 60 K, the optimal high pressure for the maximal liquid yield is found to be about 100 to 140 bar, regardless of the ortho-to-para conversion. However, the FOM can be maximized at slightly lower high pressures, 75 to 130 bar. It is concluded that the good performance of the precooling refrigerator is significant in the liquefiers, because at low precooling temperatures high values of the liquid yield and the FOM can be achieved without compression of gas to a very high pressure.
