A Study on TRIZ Applied Design for Photovoltaic System with Reversal Tracking Reflector (역추적식 반사체를 가진 태양광 발전 시스템의TRIZ(6SC) 응용 설계)

  • This paper presents a study on the design of photovoltaic system with reversal tracking reflector. The reversal tracking reflector is conceptually designed by using TRIZ. The 20 to 30% of incident rays cannot produce the current and reflected back to the glass surface because of high refractive index of solar cell which are produced from Si, GaAs. The solution of this problem has been derived using 6SC(6 steps creativity)TRIZ. The reflector which has the actuator can be trackback the sun. Reversal tracking reflector which mounted on the top of the system prevents the shadowing loss and improve the efficiency of track back function. The anti-glare reflector prevents the heat due to the concentrated reflected light rays.

Enhancement of n-i-p flexible microcrystalline silicon thin film solar cell efficiency through improved light trapping (Light trapping 개선을 통한 n-i-p 플렉서블 미세결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지의 효율 향상)

  • Stainless Steel의 유연한 기판을 사용하여 ZnO:Al/Ag의 후면전극에서 Ag 증착 실험조건 변화를 통해서 light trapping을 개선한 n-i-p 구조의 플렉서블 미세결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지를 제작하였다. 실험 방법으로 마그네트론 스퍼터를 사용하여 Stainless Steel 기판 위에 ZnO:Al/Ag를 증착하여 후면전극으로 사용되는 back reflector를 제작하였으며 그 위에 미세결정질 실리콘 박막을 증착하였다. Back reflector에서 Ag 박막의 증착 온도가 증가할수록 표면결정 성장으로 roughness가 증가하여 반사도를 증가하였다. 또한, Ag 박막 증착 두께와 압력 변화에 따른 광학적 특성변화를 Atomic Force Microscope(AFM), Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),UV-visible-nIR spectrometry로 조사하여 최적의 조건을 찾았으며 개선된 back reflector의 특성이 n-i-p 구조의 플렉서블 미세결정질 실리콘 박막 태양전지에 적용하여 light trapping의 증가가 태양전지에서 광학적인 특성 변화 및 효율 향상에 영향을 주는지 Photo IV와 EQE(External Quantum Efficiency)를 통하여 조사하였다.

비정질 실리콘 태양전지 후면 반사막 적용을 위한 저온 증착된 AZO 박막 특성에 관한 연구

  • The hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) thin film solar cells using n/Al or n/Ag/Al back reflector have low short circuit current (Jsc) due to high absorption coefficients of Al or work function difference between n-layer and the metal. In this article, we utilized aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) to raise the internal reflectance for the improvement of short current density (Jsc) in a-Si:H thin film solar cells. It was found that there was a slight increase in the reflectance in the long wavelength range at the process temperature of 125oC due to improved crystalline quality of the AZO back reflector. The optical band gap (Eg) and work function were affected by the temperature and so did the internal reflectance. The increased internal reflectance within the solar cell resulted in Jsc of 14.94 mA/cm2 and the efficiency of 8.84%. Jsc for the cell without back reflector was 12.29 mA/cm2.

Analysis of W-type Reflector Antennas Using the Method of Moments (모멘트법을 이용한 W형 리플렉터 안테나의 해석)

  • In this paper, W-type reflector antennas modified from corner reflector antenna structure were proposed and the radiation characteristics were analyzed using the method of moments. The analysis results such as gain, F/B, half power beamwidth, and radiation pattern are presented as functions of dipole height h and back edge spacing d. Also, the proposed antenna was compared with corner reflector antennas in the same size of side reflectors, W-type reflector antenna was found to exhibit somewhat higher gain and larger F/B than corner reflector antennas. To verify the analysis results, W-type reflector antenna was fabricated and the radiation characteristics were measured. The measured results show good agreement with the calculated results.

  • To replace the based on silicon solar cells, the third generation solar cells, Dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), is low fabrication than silicon solar cells, environmentally friendly and can be applied to various field. For this reason, the DSSCs have been continuously researched. But DSSCs have one drawback that is the low power conversion efficiency (PCE) than silicon solar cells. To solve the problem, we used the backr-eflector the Al foil that can be easily obtained from the surrounding in order to improve the efficiency of the DSSCs. Easily detachable Al foil back-reflector increases the photocurrent by enhancing the harvesting light because the discarded light is reused. It also leads to enhance the power conversion efficiency (PCE). In addition, we compared with the efficiency of the DSSCs that is applied and does not be applied with back-reflector according to the thickness of the TiO2 photoelectrode. When the back-reflector is applied to DSSCs, the photocurrent is increased. It leads to affect the efficiency. We used to solar simulator and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) to confirm the PCE and resistance. The DSSCs were also measured by External Quantum effect (EQE). At the same time, FE-SEM and XRD were used to confirm the thickness of layer and crystal structural of photoelectrode.

  • Many domestic manufacturers make reflectors for Lamps of BLU(back light units). However, color change and parting occur as a result of diverse usage environment. Therefore, many of the manufacturers are reluctant in R&D investment of reflectors for Lamps of BLU. Hence, in this article reliability assessment criteria for reflector for lamp of BLU are established in terms of performance test, environment test and life test.

  • 현재의 태양전지에 사용되는 wafer는 원가저감을 위해 점점 얇아지고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 wafer가 얇아질수록 장파장 영역의 광자는 충분히 활용할 수 없게 된다. 대부분의 광자는 50um 지점에 도달하였을 때 그 역할을 다하고 소멸하게 되며, 특히 800nm 이상의 장파장에 대한 generation rate는 wafer 두께에 따라 급격한 차이를 보이게 된다. 따라서 장파장 영역의 광자를 효율적으로 사용할 뿐만 아니라 원가 저감을 위해 더욱 얇아지고 있는 추세의 wafer의 장파장 이용을 보상하기 위해서 TCO를 이용한 back-reflector의 역할은 가장 좋은 해결책이 될 것이다. 본 연구에서는 Macleod를 이용하여 ZnO, Al-doped ZnO, TiN, TiO2와 같은 다양한 TCO 물질에 대한 다양한 simulation을 실시 하여 reflectance 특성을 알아보았다. 상기 simulation결과로써 Al-doped ZnO가 가장 reflectance 특성이 좋게 나타났었으며 이를 이종접합 태양전지에 적용하여 광학적 및 전기적 특성 변화에 대해서 분석하였다.

Analysis of Monopole Antenna Equipped with a Reflector for UWB Systems (UWB 시스템용 반사판을 갖는 모노폴 안테나 분석)

  • In this paper, we present the analysis of a novel monopole antenna with a reflector. The proposed monopole antenna is printed on a TRF-45 substrate, and the reflector, which is positioned near the base of the antenna, is printed on the FR-4 substrate. Positioning the reflector near the base of the antenna was found to suppress current radiation toward the back of the monopole antenna. Comparative analysis of the proposed monopole antenna and a conventional monopole antenna without a reflector revealed that the bandwidths of the antenna with and without a reflector were 2.65 GHz and 2.88 GHz, respectively. Additionally, the antenna without a reflector was observed to have a bi-directional radiation pattern in the E-plane, and an omni-directional radiation pattern in the H-plane. However, only the antenna with a reflector was found to suppress back radiation, and provide non-uniform directional radiation in the E-plane and H-plane.

  • 유리를 기판으로 하는 실리콘 박막태양전지의 경우 PIN 비정질 태양전지 뒤에 후면반사막으로 주로 Ga 또는 Al이 Doping된 후면반사막을 사용한다. 이 후면반사막의 경우 PIN층을 통과한 빛을 반사함으로써 빛의 효용성을 높이는 데 그 목적이 있다. 본 논문에서는 후면박사막으로 ZnO:Al을 사용하고 산소 부여량에 따른 투과도, 비저항 변화를 살펴보고 실제로 a-Si:H 박막태양전지를 제작하여 그 효과를 파악하였다. 이 때 산소 부여량이 많아질 경우 투과도는 높아지지만 비저항이 급격히 높아지는 문제가 있었으나 이 조건으로 a-Si:H 박막태양전지를 제작시에도 효율이 상승하였다.

  • The dynamic characteristics of a hydraulic press for micro-stamping are investigated by Finite Element Analysis. This machine requires high precision in producing milli-structure of electric products such as TFT-LCD back-up light reflector. First, the modal analysis of the parts and the assembly of the hydraulic press is performed. Then, the sensitivity analysis is carried out. The results show that the bearing stiffness and the base mounting stiffness affect the specific mode shapes.
