최소토크맥동을 갖는 BLDC 전동기의 최적제어 (Optimum Torque Control Method for BLDC Motor with Minimum Torque Pulsation)

  • 본 연구에서는 감쇠상 역기전력을 고려한 토크모델이 도통 및 전환구간에서 다름을 보였으며 이를 통해 전환구간에서 나타나는 토크맥동을 수학적으로 해석하였다. 본 논문에서는 전환시간에 의해 나타나는 토크맥동을 저감할 수 있는 새로운 방식을 제안하였다. 첫째, 전환시간을 조절하여 상승상 및 감쇠상의 전류의 기울기를 일정하게 조정하는 절환지연시간제어를 제안하였다. 이를 통하여 비전환상에서의 전류맥동을 저감하였으며 직류단전압과 4배의 역기전력전압의 크기가 같아지는 임계속도 이하에서 토크맥동을 저감할 수 있다. 그러나, 역기전력 및 전환하는 전류의 관계에 의해 토크맥동이 여전히 존재한다. 특히 임계속도 이상에서는 토크맥동율이 크게 증가한다. 둘째, 역기전력과 전류의 관계에 따라 나타나는 토크맥동을 고려한 전환시점제어를 제안하였다. 제안한 방식에 의하여 BLDC 전동기의 토크맥동을 임계속도 이상에서 뿐 만 아니라 전 속도영역에서도 최소화 할 수 있다.

단상 SRM의 역기전력 분석을 통한 센서리스 구동기법 (Sensorless Drive Method using Back EMF Analysis of Single Phase Switched Reluctance Motor)

  • 본 논문은 단상 스위치드 릴럭턴스 모터의 역기전력 분석을 통해 회전자 위치를 추정하여 구동하는 센서리스 구동법을 제안한다. SRM은 회전자 위치에 따라 적정 고정자 권선을 여과시킴으로써 회전력을 발생하기 때문에 회전자 위치 정보가 필수적으로 요구된다. 회전자의 위치를 검출하기 위하여 다양한 회전자 위치센서를 사용하고 있으나 대부분의 위치 센서들은 모터의 부피와 구축비용을 증가시킬 뿐만 아니라 환경에 따라 구동시스템의 신뢰도를 저하시키는 경향이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제들을 해결하기 위해 역기전력을 이용한 방법을 제안한다. 회전자와 고정자가 겹쳐지는 순간(overlap point) 역기전력이 급격하게 변화하게 되는 지점을 검출하여 회전자의 위치를 추정할 수 있으며, 속도 계산을 통해 적절한 위치에서 스위치를 온, 오프하여 SRM을 구동하게 된다. 본 연구에서 제안한 방식을 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통해 그 타당성을 검증하였다.

7상 BLDC 전동기의 고속 운전시 개선된 진상각 보상 연구 (A Study On the Phase Advance Angle of High Speed Operation for 7 Phase BLOC Motor Drives)

  • According to previously published paper the phase advance angle is adopted to the BLDC motor drive with high speed. The report proposed describes the optimum algorism that phase current is in phase with the initial flat region of back EMF. This report studies the need of more leading phase advance angle compared with in phase concept between phase current and back EMF. In case of high reactance this report proposes the more phase advance angle than in phase. The test results more rms value of phase current and output power due to more phase advance angle than in phase. It will be helped the high power operation of BLDC motor at high speed.

스캘리턴 형상을 갖는 2상 BLDC 모터의 특성향상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance Improvement for Skeleton type 2-Phase BLDC Motor)

  • Recently, the skeleton type 2-phase brushless DC motor has been used in electric home appliance for low price and low energy consumption. In this paper, we analyzed a skeleton type 2-phase BLDC motor using time-step finite element method. And the validity of analysis is confirmed by measuring the flux distribution on the surface of permanent magnet and back-EMF. As well, we have calculated the dynamic characteristics of target motor considering the Hall sensor position. So, we have found the optimum switching position, and improved efficiency of 2-phase BLDC motor.

  • A sensorless motor control scheme with conventional back-Electro Motive Force (EMF) sensing based on zero crossing point (ZCP) detection has been widely used in various applications. However, there are several problems with the conventional method for effectively driving sensorless brushless motors. For example, a phase mismatch of 30 degrees occurs between the ZCP and commutation time. Additionally, most of the motor speed/current controls are achieved based on a pulse width modulation (PWM) method, which generates significant noise that distracts the back-EMF sensing. Due to the PWM switching, the ZCP is not deterministic, and thus the efficiency of the motor is reduced because the phase transition points become uncertain. Moreover, the motor driving performance is degraded at a low speed range due to the effect of PWM noise. To solve these problems, an improved back-EMF detection method based on a differential line method is proposed in this paper. In addition, the proposed sensorless BLDC driver addresses the problems by using a variable voltage driver generated from a buck converter. The variable voltage driver does not generate the PWM switching noise. Consequently, the proposed sensorless motor driver improves 1) the signal-to-noise ratio of back-EMF, 2) the operation range of a BLDC motor, and 3) the torque characteristics. The proposed sensorless motor driver is verified through simulations and experiments.

  • A back-electromotive force (back-EMF) estimator for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) uses the three-phase voltage references of a current controller to estimate rotor position. However, owing to voltage drops caused by the nonlinear characteristics of switches and passive components, the actual voltage in the motor and the three-phase voltage reference may not match. This study proposes a sensorless control method using a sine-wave output filter applied between the motor drive system and PMSM. The precise voltage in the motor can be measured with the sine-wave output filter and applied to the input of the estimator. Moreover, given that the voltage in the motor can be measured precisely at extremely low speeds, the stable operation range of the back-EMF estimator can be secured. Experimental results show that the proposed sensorless control method has stable operation at extremely low speeds compared with conventional sensorless control.

  • The motor for torpedo propulsion is needed the compact and short rating high power characteristics. This paper describes the development of the motor through the theory and Finite Element Method(FEM) analysis for Brushless Direct Current Motor(BLDCM) of 7 phase 6 poles. Back EMF, inductance and eddy current loss were analyzed. The proposed methods like magnetic wedge acquired by these FEM analysis were introduced. Phase-leading angle using encoder was used. Test results on the motor of 7 phase 6 poles were showed the validity of proposed methods and phase-leading angle.

  • In this paper two methods of torque control for brushless DC motor with non-ideal trapezoidal back EMF are presented. One is the method of modulating the reference current so as to give a constant torque since the torque is given by the back EMF and the. phase currents. And the current control loop includes the feedforward control of back EMF and of the neutral voltage between the neutral points of the inverter and of the machine. The other is a direct voltage calculation algorithm for a given reference torque. In the two methods, the time delay due to the calculation is compensated by one sampling current prediction. The simulation results are presented to verify the proposed methods.

  • Using back electro-motive force(EMF) signals of a brushless DC motor, the sensorless micro-processor controlled drive system was developed. In this new commutation method, the manual pulses are used for relatively short accelerating phase and then the exact commutational positions are detected based upon the back emf signals. The hardware and software implementations with the experiment to compare the performance of the developed system with the, conventional system using hall effect sensors are included. By reducing the number of the required sensors in the artificial heart control system, the total reliability will be incresed.
