Purpose : This study explores the effects of dental hygiene students' ethical propensity and self-esteem on their awareness of protecting patient medical information and how these factors interact to influence their professional ethical consciousness. The aim of this study is to highlight the role of university education in shaping the ethical values of dental hygienists. Methods : Between June 1 and November 30, 2023, 210 dental hygiene students in Busan Metropolitan City participated in this study. After providing consent, the participants completed a self-administered questionnaire comprising 69 questions. The questions covered general characteristics (8 questions), ethical propensity (20 questions), self-esteem (10 questions), and awareness of patient medical information protection (31 questions), all measured on a five-point Likert scale. Results : Correlation analysis indicated that idealism had a significant positive correlation with relativism (r=0.35, p<.001), self-esteem (r=0.28, p<.001), and awareness of patient medical information protection (r=0.46, p<.001). Relativism had a significant positive correlation with self-esteem (r=0.17, p<0.05) and awareness of patient medical information protection (r=0.23, p<.01). Self-esteem had a significant positive correlation with awareness of patient medical information protection (r=0.34, p<.001). Multilinear regression analysis revealed that idealism (ß=0.38) and self-esteem (ß=0.22) significantly increased the level of awareness of patient medical information protection. However, relativism did not have a significant impact on the level of awareness of patient medical information protection. The model explained 26.0 % of the variance (24.9 % when corrected). Conclusion : Higher levels of idealism and self-esteem correlate with greater awareness of patient medical information protection. In addition to appropriate program development and strategies, university curricula for dental hygiene students should include systematic and continuous training to enhance the values of ethical awareness, idealism, and self-esteem.

This study aimed to identify the relationship between the awareness of employees in medical institutes on the protection of medical information and their practice, and basic data of the development of a protection policy is presented. The subjects of the study were 433 employees of general hospitals located in G city and they were interviewed to ascertain their awareness of the protection of medical information and their practice level. The collected data was analysed with a t-test, a dispersion analysis, a Pearson analysis, and a multi-regression analysis. The mean scores on the awareness of protection of medical information was $4.0{\pm}0.7$, and that for the proficiency level was $3.7{\pm}0.7$. As a relevant factor for awareness and proficiency, education in medical information protection was significantly related to awareness. Education experience in medical information protection and the daily mean number of patients in hospitals had a significant relationship with scores on awareness.

본 연구는 환자의료정보 보호에 대한 의료기관 종사자들의 인식도 및 실천도의 관계를 규명하여 의료 기관의 의료정보 보호의 정책 수립에 기초자료를 제시하고자 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 연구기간 및 대상은 2019년 6월 17일부터 8월 16일까지 전라남·북도에 소재하고 있는 의료 기관 종사자 200명을 대상으로 하였다. 설문지조사는 연구자가 직접 조사 대상에게 연구 목적을 설명하고, 설문지를 배포한 후 회수하였다. 환자의료정보 직접 접촉영역 측정도구는 총 5문항, 환자의료정보 관리영역은 총 14문항, 의사소통영역은 총 8문항이었다. 연구결과, 의료기관 종사자의 영역별 환자 의료정보 보호에 대한 인식도와 실천도는 의사소통 영역이 가장 높았고, 다음으로 환자 의료정보 관리영역 의료 정보 직접접촉 영역 순이었다. 환자의료정보 보호에 대한 인식도과 실천에 관련이 있었던 변수는 의료기관 유형, 직무만족도, 종교, 근무부서와 유의한 관련이 있었다. 환자의료정보관리 영역에 영향을 미치는 요인을 알아보기 위해 환자의료정보 직접 접촉영역과 의사소통영역을 독립변인으로 환자의료정보관리 영역을 종속변인으로 하여 다중 회귀분석을 실시한 결과 환자의료정보 직접 접촉 영역과 의사소통영역이 높을수록 환자의료정보관리 영역이 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 의료기관 종사자들의 의료 정보 보안 및 보호 행위에 대한 인식수준을 높일 수 있도록 직종별, 직무별 교육프로그램을 개발하여 내부감사 형태의 주기적인 모니터링과 함께 지속적인 교육을 실행하여 환자 의료정보 침해 환경으로부터 환자를 보호하고 피해를 최소화 할 수 있도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

본 연구의 목적은 치과위생사들의 환자 개인정보보호에 대한 지식, 인식도 및 실천도를 파악하고자 하였다. 또한 치과위생사의 개인정보보호에 관련된 실천도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 파악하여, 의료기관에서 개인정보보호를 강화하기 위한 방법을 마련하는데 도움이 되고자 시행되었다. 2014년 11월 7일부터 2015년 6월 30일까지 연구의 목적 및 취지 등에 대해 설명한 후 동의를 구한 뒤 자기기입식 설문조사를 시행하였다. 부산, 경남 소재의 치과위생사를 대상으로 210부가 자료분석에 사용되었다. 그 결과, 10년 이상 근무경력자는 실천정도가 유의하게 높게 나타났으며(p<.05), 실장 이상의 직위에서 지식이 높고(p<.01), 실천정도(p<.05)가 유의하게 높게 나타났으며, 10~20명의 근무자가 근무하는 병원(p<.05)에서 인식정도가 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 지식, 인식도 및 실천도의 상관관계에서 지식이 높으면 인식도와 실천도에서 정의 상관관계를 나타내었다(p<.01). 개인정보보호의 지식, 인식도가 치과위생사의 실천도에 미치는 영향을 조사한 결과, 지식(.231)과 인식도(.212)는 실천도에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 나타났다. 치과위생사의 개인정보보호의 실천도를 높이려면 지식의 함양과 인식의 전환이 필요함을 알 수 있었고, 개인정보보호에 대한 인식을 전환하기 위해서는 치과위생사 대상의 교육이 절실하다고 생각된다.

본 연구는 임상실습 전의 간호 학생들의 환자 개인정보보호 인식 정도를 확인하여 정보보호에 대한 관심을 불러일으키고 임상실습 학생들을 위한 환자 개인정보보호 교육 프로그램 마련에 필요한 기반 자료를 제공하고자 시도되었다. 간호학과 2학년 학생 126명을 대상으로 조사한 결과, 간호학생들의 환자 개인정보보호 인식은 높은 수준이었다(4.52점/5점). 일반적 특성에 따른 환자 개인정보보호 인식은 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 없었다. 향후 일부 간호학생으로 제한되었던 대상자를 확대하여 간호학생의 환자 개인정보보호 인식에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하기 위한 다학제간 융합연구가 필요하고, 임상실습 미경험 간호학생들을 위한 환자 개인정보보호 교육 프로그램 개발과 적용이 필요하며. 환자 개인정보보호 인식을 향상시키기 위한 의료기관과 대학 측의 공동 방안 모색이 필요하다.

본 연구는 보건행정 전공 대학생들의 윤리적 가치관이 환자 개인정보 보호 인지에 미치는 영향을 분석하여 교육프로그램 개발에 중요한 기초 자료를 제시하고자 C지역과 G지역 대학생 820명을 대상으로 조사하였고 SPSS/WIN 18.0 Program을 통해 자료를 분석하였다. 분석결과 보건행정 전공 대학생들의 개인정보 보호인지에 대한 평균은 2.04 ± 0.24으로 낮은 수준으로 나타났고, 윤리적 가치관은 이상주의 성향 2.51 ± 0.32점, 상대주의 성향은 2.34 ± 0.34점으로 이상주의적 성향이 높게 나타났다. 윤리적 가치관이 환자 개인정보 보호에 대한 인식수준과 환자 개인정보 보호노출에 대한 인식에서도 이상주의적 윤리성향과 상대주의적 윤리성향에서 유의한 관련이 있었다. 따라서 보건행정 전공대학생들의 환자 개인정보 보호인지를 높이기 위해서는 올바른 윤리적 가치관이 확립되어야 하며, 이를 위한 체계적이고 지속적인 교육이 필요하다고 판단된다.
