  • The purpose of this study is measure library use behaviors among faculty members and faculty awarenesses toward bibliographic education for undergraduates. Questionnaire listings offered by C university library were sent 200 faculties. 56% responded questionnaires were analyzed. The results are as follows. $\circledS1$They used library one more times per a month and during vocations & prefered to use scholarly journals. $\circledS2$They wanted 'subscription for scholarly journals,' 'inter-library loan,' but they seldom experienced in inter-library loan. $\circledS3$They gained the library skills in experiences and they had the average level of library skills. They used secondary sources and recognized traditional reference services. $\circledS5$They intended to bibliographic education for the faculty and the wanted group of 10 less and education for the new faculty members. $\circledS6$They though the students should be able to learn needed library skills. but wasn't necessary. $\circledS7$They intended to intergrate bibliographic education and cooperate with librarians. But they hadn't been familiar with librarians and encouraged students to use library.

  • The aim of this study is to measure the degrees of emotional labor and to empirically analyze how emotional labor affects individual's stress coping style and psychological burnout. The results were as follows. First, the call center employees were actually experiencing emotional labor and it was shown that the deep acting was higher than the surface acting. Second, the degree of experiencing stress coping style and psychological burnout appeared differently depending on the socio-economic variables of the employee. Third, despite the differences in the direction, there is a correlation between emotional labor, stress coping style, and psychological burnout. Fourth, the characteristics of the employees and emotional labor clearly affected stress coping style and psychological burnout. Therefore, companies will have to provide various psychological treatments and training programs for call center employees, and a change in social awareness, where people take the service industry workers' kindness for granted, is required as well.

  • Drowsy driving is a major cause of automobile crashes and can lead to more serious injuries than other causes of traffic accidents. Factors increasing the risk of drowsy driving and related crashes include sleep loss, late night driving, untreated or unrecognized sleep disorders, use of sedating medications and consumption of alcohol. Young people, especially young males, shift workers, and people with untreated sleep apnea syndrome and narcolepsy are well known as the population groups at highest risk. To prevent drowsy driving and its consequences, getting adequate and quality sleep is both easier and much more successful than any remedial measure. Other helpful behaviors include avoidance of alcoholic beverages and limiting late night driving. Taking a short nap or consuming caffeine can make a short-term difference in driving alertness. In addition, information should be actively provided to the public about the importance of sleep disorders and their consequences. To reduce injuries and death caused by drowsy driving, it is a prerequisite to increase public awareness that drowsy driving can cause serious automobile crashes and has morbidity and mortality rates as high as those of drunk driving.

  • In order to point out the best utility of a product (or a service), marketers need to clearly understand and measure the preference of the consumers. Among numerous marketing analysis techniques, the conjoint analysis is one of the popular tools for market research. One of the issues with this tool is the lack of feedback for the respondents. This paper proposes personal stepwise conjoint analysis based on an interactive Web-questionnaire allowing respondents to receive a diagnosis of their evaluation and giving the possibility to reconsider their evaluation. To validate our proposal, experimentation with forty-two respondents is also demonstrated. Experimental results, potential modifications and improvements are detailed in this paper.

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose a securely personalized context-aware cooperative query that supports a multi-level data abstraction hierarchy and conceptual distance metric among data values, while considering privacy concerns around user context awareness. The conceptual distance expresses a semantic similarity among data values with a quantitative measure, and thus the conceptual distance enables query results to be ranked. To show the feasibility of the methodology proposed in this paper we have implemented a prototype system in the area of site search in a large-scale shopping mall.

  • In the field of Internet of Things (IoT), smarter embedded devices offer functions via web services. The Quality-of-Service (QoS) prediction is a key measure that guarantees successful IoT service applications. In this study, a collaborative filtering method is presented for predicting response time of IoT service due to time-awareness characteristics of IoT. First, a calculation method of service response time similarity between different users is proposed. Then, to improve prediction accuracy, initial similarity values are adjusted and similar neighbors are selected by a similarity threshold. Finally, via a densified user-item matrix, service response time is predicted by collaborative filtering for current active users. The presented method is validated by experiments on a real web service QoS dataset. Experimental results indicate that better prediction accuracy can be achieved with the presented method.

  • The construction industry suffers from declining productivity and lack of trust between stakeholders and among the public. Increasing technical, regulatory, environmental and ethical challenges face the sector and necessitate a new type of leader. Authentic leadership is a relatively new construct that focuses on a leader demonstrating self-awareness, relational transparency, an internalized ethical and moral perspective and balanced processing. This study uses the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire to measure construction superintendent's levels of authentic leadership and compares them to effectiveness ratings. There is a correlation between higher authentic leadership scores and effectiveness and this study concludes that authentic leaders are more effective superintendents.

  • While new information technology advances have made information access and acquisition methods much more diverse and easier, there are side effects that allow illegal access using diverse and high-performance tools. In order to cope with such threats, there are access control methods in database technology, and various studies are being conducted to extend traditional access control to cope with new computing environments. In this paper, we propose an extended access control with uncertain context-awareness. It enables appropriate security policy enforcement even if the contextual constraints specified by the security policy does not match those accompanied by access request query. We extract semantic implications from context tree, and define the argument that can quantitatively measure the semantic difference between two nodes in the context tree. It is used to semantically enforce the security policy, and to prevent the excessive authorization caused by the implication.

  • This case report describes a case of isolated (not associated with other anomalies) lower vaginal hypoplasia complicated by megalourethra (urethral dilatation) due to frequent urethral sexual intercourse in a regularly menstruating (hypomenorrheic) woman. The patient was a 24-year-old woman who underwent transperineal ultrasonography as well as magnetic resonance imaging followed by sequential cystoscopic and vaginoscopic examinations. Finally, a pull-through procedure was used to create a new vagina. The main outcome measure was patent vagina formation. The procedure successfully corrected isolated lower vaginal hypoplasia. The postoperative course was smooth, with the restoration of regular intercourse in the correct location. It was concluded that all gynecologists should have increased awareness of rare female genital anomalies to avoid serious sequelae, particularly in newly married patients.

  • Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is associated with a higher incidence of biliary/vasculobiliary injuries than open cholecystectomy. Anatomical misperception is the most common underlying mechanism of such injuries. Although a number of strategies have been described to prevent these injuries, critical view of safety method of structural identification seems to be the most effective preventive measure. The critical view of safety can be achieved in the majority of cases during laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It is highly recommended by various guidelines. However, its poor understanding and low adoption rates among practicing surgeons have been global problems. Educational intervention and increasing awareness about the critical view of safety can increase its penetration in routine surgical practice. In this article, a technique of achieving critical view of safety during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is described with the aim to enhance its understanding among general surgery trainees and practicing general surgeons.
