원자력발전소 발전기 차단기의 적용 및 운전방식 (Application of Generator Circuit Breaker and Operation of Electrical Power System in Nuclear Power Generating Stations)

  • This paper introduces aspects of electrical power system with regard to the application of generator circuit breaker(GCB) in nuclear power generating stations. Technical analyses are performed for the two(2) alternatives, one(1) stand-by auxiliary transformer(SAT) vs two(2) SAT's, on system configuration in case that one(1) GCB is used. The results show that one(1) SAT system may not be justified when larger auxiliary loads are required to increase plant availibility. This paper also presents the feasibility on reliability, operability and maintainability for adopting GCB.

자기구동 능동 클램프를 이용한 부스트 입력형 ZVS 컨버터에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Boost-Input Self-Driven Active Clamp ZVS Converter)

  • This paper proposes a boost-input self-driven active clamp ZVS converter eliminating the extra dirve circuit for the active clamp switch. The converter used the auxiliary winding of the transformer to drive the active clamp switch and to achieve asymmetrical duty control. This paper presents the operation principle and the analyzed results of dynamic characteristics including steady state characteristics of the converter proposed. The experimental results were used to verify the theoretical predictions. A 300W (15V/20A) prototype converter that only exhibited 2-turn winding number in the auxiliary winding was sufficient to drive the active clamp switch on the input voltage of 80V. Finally, the maximum efficiency of 91.2% was achieved for the prototype converter and the proposed converter had stable closed loop characteristic with phase margin $55^{\circ}$.

Analysis and Design of Function Decoupling High Voltage Gain DC/DC Converter

  • Traditional boost converters have difficulty realizing high efficiency and high voltage gain conversion due to 1) extremely large duty cycles, 2) high voltage and current stresses on devices, and 3) low conversion efficiency. Therefore, a function decoupling high voltage gain DC/DC converter composed of a DC transformer (DCX) and an auxiliary converter is proposed. The role of DCX is to realize fixed gain conversion with high efficiency, whereas the role of the auxiliary converter is to regulate the output voltage. In this study, different forms of combined high voltage gain converters are compared and analyzed, and a structure is selected for the function decoupling high voltage gain converter. Then, topologies and control strategies for the DCX and auxiliary converter are discussed. On the basis of the discussion, an optimal design method for circuit parameters is proposed, and design procedures for the DCX are described in detail. Finally, a 400 W experimental prototype based on the proposed optimal design method is built to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. The measured maximum conversion efficiency at rated power is 95.56%.

  • 본 논문에서는 12-펄스정류기의 고조파 저감을 위해 12-펄스정류기의 커패시터 중앙 DC버스에 보조전원장치의 설치를 제안하였다. 그리고 이 장치에 의해 고조파가 감소되는 이론적인 배경을 다루었으며 부하전류의 크기에 따라 보조전원장치가 어떻게 제어되어야 하는지를 밝혔다. 본 논문에서 제안한 보조전원장치는 구형파 전압원을 적용함으로써 능동필터와 같은 다른 방식에 비해 시스템 구조가 간단하고 보다 저렴하다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 12-펄스정류기 고조파 저감법의 검증을 위해 소프트웨어 PSIM을 활용하였으며 제안된 방식의 유효성을 확인하였다.

A MOSFET's Driver Applied to High-frequency Switching with Wide Range of Duty Cycles

  • A MOSFET's gate driver based on magnetic coupling is investigated. The gate driver can meet the demands in applications for wide range of duty cycles and high frequency. Fully galvanic isolation can be realized, and no auxiliary supply is needed. The driver is insensitive to the leakage inductor of the isolated transformer. No gate resistor is needed to damp the oscillation, and thus the peak output current of the gate driver can be improved. Design of the driving transformer can also be made more flexible, which helps to improve the isolation voltage between the power stage and the control electronics, and aids to enhance the electromagnetic compatibility. The driver's operation principle is analyzed, and the design method for its key parameters is presented. The performance analysis is validated via experiment. The disadvantages of the traditional magnetic coupling and optical coupling have been conquered through the investigated circuit.

  • Single winding self driven synchronous rectification(SWSDSR) scheme is based on an additional winding in the power transformer (auxiliary winding). It allows for maintaining the synchronous rectifiers on even when the voltage in the transformer is zero, which is impossible to do in traditional self-driven approaches. A Tightly Regulated Triple Output Asymmetrical Half Bridge Flyback Converter

  • In this paper, a tightly regulated triple output asymmetrical half bridge flyback (ASHF) converter is proposed. In order to regulate all output voltages, pulse frequency modulation (PFM), pulse width modulation (PWM) and phase delay (PD) are used simultaneously. In comparison with the conventional PWM-PD method, the interactions among the control variables are minimized and the operating range is increased. By the utilization of a multi winding transformer, the auxiliary transformer and the blocking capacitor are eliminated and the size and cost of the proposed converter is reduced. The operation principle of the converter is explained and the modes of operation are investigated. Based on the results, the steady state characteristics of the converter are explored. A 24V/10A, 12V/5A, 5V/10A hardware prototype is built and tested to verify the analysis results and the voltage regulation of the triple outputs of the proposed converter.

  • Bidirectional DC-DC converters allow transfer of power between two dc sources, in either direction. Due to their ability to reverse the direction of flow of power, Dey are being increasingly used in many applications such as battery charge/dischargers, do uninterruptible power supplies, electrical vehicle motor drives, aerospace power systems, telecom power supplies, etc. This Paper Proposes a new bidirectional Sepic/Zeta converter. It has low switching loss and low conduction loss due to auxiliary communicated circuit and synchronous rectifier operation, respectively Because of positive and buck/boost-like DC voltage transfer function(M=D/1-D), the proposed converter is very desirable for use in distributed power system. The proposed converter also has both transformer-less version and transformer one.

A Novel Circuit Configuration of UPS with Auxiliary Inverter and Its Specific Control Implementations

  • The rapid expansion of small computers over the last 10-odd years has brought about great changes in the circumstances affecting UPSs. There are strong demands that UPSs become much smaller and lighter, and more economical, which has resulted in the wide application of the circuit topology without transformer. A disadvantage of such UPS topology is that the DC link voltage is very high, which invites decreased reliability and increased cost of battery bank. Some circuit configurations were proposed to eliminate this disadvantage, but they still had problems. In this paper, a novel circuit configuration which eliminates these problems is proposed and evaluated by the experimental results of prototype UPS.

  • In paper, propose new partial resonance ZCS PWM controlled High frequency insulating Full-bridge DC/DC converter not using exciting current of high frequency transformer. It is compared with the existing principles in characteristics. It also realizes a widely stabilized ZVS operating using new On-Off control method at synchronized power rectification MOSFET of high frequency insulating transformer secondary. Finally, it is brought over 97[%] measurement -efficiency by proposed DC-DC converter. It is proved effectiveness of new methods using DC UPS PWM rectifier as switching power.
