This paper describes an implement of Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM) in two dimensional space. The method uses Invariant Extended Kalman Filter(IEKF), which transforms the state variables and measurement variables so that the transformed variables constitute a linear space when variables called the invariant quantities are kept constant. Therefore, the IEKF guarantees convergence provided in the invariant quantities are kept constant. The proposed IEKF approach uses Lie group matrix for the transformation. The method is tested through simulation, and the results show that the Kalman gain is constant as it is the case for the linear Kalman filter. The coherence between the estimated locations of the vehicle and the detected objects verifies the estimation performance of the method.

A practical method to investigate the user interface of web based Flexible Manufacturing System(FMS) on the internet environment is established. Because the industrial FMS controller requires a lot of gadget, such as switch, dial, button, etc., for actual work-site flexible operation sufficiently, the user interface of the controller is significantly complex. The support for operational convenience of FMS controller can increase productivity and efficiency of the user, operational personnel of FMS. While most FMS provide their application programming interface(API) and graphical user interface(GUI) with adequate mechanism itself when used in stand alone, there is increasing demand for FMS that can operate with the intuitional user interface find virtual reality(V/R) environment. This thesis considers the intuitional user interface of Web-based FMS first, and from this, goes a step further, improves as virtual reality environment of FMS on the internet environments by using the feature based modeling technique approach and cartoon rendering. The feature-based modeling technique approach is applied to FMS line which is consist of facilities such as machining center, CNC lathe, autonomous guided vehicle, rail guided vehicle, and various controllers. In this study, the FMS established the intuitional user interface is able to obtain not only the operational convenience but also the enough productivity and significant efficiency.

Since out of a lot of traffic problems traffic accidents cause damage to life and properties of people, it stands out as one of traffic problems which needs improvement, and the loss due to traffic accident negatively affects not only the parties to the accident but also the national economy. Thus, continual concern of the government toward traffic safety is getting bigger and lately each local government is preparing a basic plan for traffic safety and vitalizing traffic safety policies. As expanding the responsibility and role of local governments for traffic safety, traffic safety measures which are based on the characteristics of each local government should be studied. Most of analytical methods in the existing traffic accidents prediction models with macroscopic vision focus on socioeconomic variables such as local population and the number of registered vehicles, and present a great deal of prediction error when they are applied in practice. In this context, this study proposed a traffic accident prediction model in respect of macroscopic level for autonomous districts (administrative districts) of Seoul City. The model development was not based on the entire city but on the type of local land usage (development density) whose relationship with traffic accident frequency was analyzed.

The primary goal of the line tracer is to accurately and quickly detect the movement up to the target position given by the sensor juhaengseon. It has been used in applications in various fields such as the current unmanned transport vehicles, laser cutting machine, autonomous mobile robots and unmanned driving is possible, and is held annually at various universities in the competition field with the possibility of great progress, depending on the application. However, there arises a large difference in running performance, depending on the hardware design and control. In this paper, improving the characteristics of the tracer line and characters to design a PID controller is to apply the point on ways of improving the properties of the system.
This paper describes the plan and procedure of a development test and evaluation that will be performed to verify the performance and technology of multi-mission unmanned surface vehicles (MMUSVs). In order to verify the design requirement of MMUSVs, we designed and manufactured the common platform of MMUSVs, which have an overall length of8.4 m, a displacement of 3,100 kg, and a speed of more than35 kts. The platform is equipped with several sub-systems, including radar and an EOTS/IRS. The EOTS/IRS, along with the search radar, is used for effective detection, identification, and targeting. The core technologies of MMUSV for DT&E will be investigated. The common platform design technologies, remote operating and control system technologies, autonomous navigation technologies, and unmanned operational technology of sensors and equipment will be studied for the development of the MMUSV's core technologies. The system will be able to make precise observations and track targets both manually and automatically during day and night conditions. Currently, the verification tests for each of the technologies and for the integrated system are in the pipeline for DT&E, which will be performed next year. Also, software reliability and life tests will be performed.

Recently, due to the increasing interests in deep sea development, all possible efforts to the development of underwater unmanned working vehicles such as AUV(Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) or underwater robot are exerted. This paper proposes a new efficient acoustic-based underwater image data communication system, which ensures a certain level of maximum throughput regardless of the propagation delay of ultrasonic and allowsfast data transmission through the multiple ultrasonic communication channel. Proposed system consists of an acoustic transducer which operates at 136kHz center frequency and it's 10kHz bandwidth, pre-amplifier, $\pi/4 QPSK$(Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) modulation/demodu-lation method, image compressing method using JPEG technique and modified Stop & Wait protocol. The experimental result of the system make it possible to transfer the underwater image as a high throughput at the basin test. The results of test are also verified which allows to desirable transmission performance compared with the existing developed system and the possibility to put the practical use of survey and investigation in the water.

Compared to terrestrial RF communications, underwater acoustic communications have several limitations such as limited bandwidth, high level of fading effects, and a large underwater propagation delay. In this paper, in order to tackle those limitations of underwater communications and to make it possible to form a large underwater monitoring systems, we propose a hierarchical underwater network architecture, which consists of underwater sensors, clusterheads, underwater/surface sink nodes, autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). In the proposed architecture, for the maximization of packet delivery ratio and the minimization of underwater sensor's energy consumption, a hybrid routing protocol is used. More specifically, cluster members use Tree based routing to transmit sensing data to clusterheads. AUVs on optimal trajectory movements collect the aggregated data from clusterhead and finally forward the data to the sink node. Also, in order to minimize the maximum travel distance of AUVs, an Integer Linear Programming based algorithm is employed. Performance analysis through simulations shows that the proposed architecture can achieve a higher data delivery ratio and lower energy consumption than existing routing schemes such as gradient based routing and geographical forwarding. Start after striking space key 2 times.

For the development of unmanned autonomous vehicle, it is essential to detect obstacles, especially vehicles, in the forward direction of navigation. In order to reliably exclude regions that do not contain obstacles and save a considerable amount of computational effort, it is often necessary to confine computation only to ROI(region of interest)s. A ROI is usually chosen as the interior region of the lane. We propose a computationally simple and efficient method for the detection of lanes based on Hough transform and quadratic curve fitting. The proposed method first employs Hough transform to get approximate locations of lanes, and then applies quadratic curve fitting to the locations computed by Hough transform. We have experimented the proposed method on real outdoor road scene. Experimental results show that our method gives accurate detection of straight and curve lanes, and is computationally very efficient.

With the latest developments in ICT(Information Communication Technology) technology, research on Intelligent Car, Connected Car that support autonomous driving or services is actively underway. It is true that the number of inputs linked to external connections is likely to be exposed to a malicious intrusion. I studied possible security issues that may occur within the Connected Car. A variety of security issues may arise in the use of CAN, the most typical internal network of vehicles. The data can be encrypted by encrypting the entire data within the CAN network system to resolve the security issues, but can be time-consuming and time-consuming, and can cause the authentication process to be carried out in the event of a certification procedure. To resolve this problem, CAN network system can be used to authenticate nodes in the network to perform a unique authentication of nodes using nodes in the network to authenticate nodes in the nodes and By encoding the ID, identifying the identity of the data, changing the identity of the ID and decryption algorithm, and identifying the cipher and certification techniques of the external invader, the encryption and authentication techniques could be detected by detecting and verifying the external intruder. Add a monitoring node to the CAN network to resolve this. Share a unique ID that can be authenticated using the server that performs the initial certification of nodes within the network and encrypt IDs to secure data. By detecting external invaders, designing encryption and authentication techniques was designed to detect external intrusion and certification techniques, enabling them to detect external intrusions.
'Marine mammals-based observations' refers to data acquisition activities from marine mammals by instrumenting CTD (Conductivity-Temperature-Depth) sensors on them for recording vertical profiles of ocean variables such as temperature and salinity during animal diving. It is a novel data collecting platform that significantly improves our abilities in observing extreme environments such as the Southern Ocean with low cost compared to the other conventional methods. Furthermore, the system continues to create valuable information until sensors are detached, expanding data coverage in both space and time. Owing to these practical advantages, the marine mammals-based observations become popular to investigate ocean circulation changes in the Southern Ocean. Although these merits may bring us more opportunities to understand ocean changes, the data should be carefully qualified before we interpret it incorporating shipboard/autonomous vehicles/moored CTD data. In particular, we need to pay more attention to salinity correction due to the usage of an unpumped-CTD sensor tagged on marine mammals. In this article, we introduce quality control methods for the marine mammals-based CTD profiles that have been developed in recent studies. In addition, we discuss strategies of quality control specifically for the seal-tagging CTD profiles, successfully having been obtained near Terra Nova Bay, Ross Sea, Antarctica since February 2021. It is the Korea Polar Research Institute's research initiative of animal-borne instruments monitoring in the region. We anticipate that this initiative would facilitate collaborative efforts among Polar physical oceanographers and even marine mammal behavior researchers to understand better rapid changes in marine environments in the warming world.
