국내 제조기업의 JIT구매방식의 도입과 구매성과에 관한 연구 (JIT Purchasing of Korean Manufacturers and It's Impact on Purchasing Performances)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose guidelines for Introducing the JIT(Just-In-Time) purchasing to enhance the competitiveness of Korean manufacturing companies. This study employed an extensive survey on the use of the JIT purchasing systems among different Korean manufacturing companies to understand the current status of the JIT purchasing in use and to identify the benefits from implementing JIT purchasing. The survey has covered 163 manufacturing companies of different sizes from various sectors of Korean industries including electronics, automobiles, machineries, and textiles. The research results support that the JIT purchasing would contribute to increase the purchasing performances of Korean manufacturing companies.

  • Decarburized zone of metal tongue which is used in seat belt for automobiles was carbon-restoration quenched and tempered using nitrogen-methanol gaseous atmosphere. The effects of microstructure and mechanical properties of metal tongue on the effectiveness of carbon-restoration during tempering was studied. Metal tongue showed $20{\sim}30{\mu}m$ decarburized zone. However, after carbon-restoration, it has uniform microstructure and thus hardness without decarburized zone. Carbon-restoration quenching and tempering process resulted in better wear and corrosion resistances than quenching and tempering process.

  • Compression ignition diesel engine can reduce carbon emission than gasoline engine in case of high efficiency, output and durability. So, compression ignition diesel engine is used in various fields such as automobiles, industries and so on. Due to reducing of emission exhaust by Developing of injection and combustion type of diesel engine, emission of pollution substance is developed compared the past. Moreover, its efficiency and reduce of carbon emission is better than gasoline engine and it is used in power source of industries, transports and others because of its high efficiency and durability nowadays. In this study, we experiment by making and designing of compression ignition diesel engine witch has air-cooling, 2 cylinder and 2 strokes.

  • 자동차의 주행에 있어서 타이어는 매우 중요한 구성 요소이다. 특히, 주행 중 차량에서 운전자가 핸들을 통해 느끼는 대부분의 진동은 바로 타이어-휠간 복합체의 밸런스가 맞지 않은 것에서 기인한다. 본 연구에서는 타이어 내에 글래스 비드를 투여함으로써 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 하였다. 또한, 글래스 비드를 다양한 물질로 코팅하여서 글래스 비드의 친수성으로 인하여 생기는 응집 문제를 해결하였다.

  • The purpose of this study is to obtain a foundation data for chassis design and road noise reduction of automobiles. Using the combination of the automobile, radial tires and instrumentation equipment, experimental investigation were carried out to examine the characteristics of the structural vibration of tire as the key to obtaining the effective parameters for reducing road noise. From the results of experimental studies it has been confirmed that the existence of important frequency ranges, which were attributable to the suspension and chassis system. The tire, axle and chassis natural frequency of automobile govern the road noise. Results that material property of tire and experimental condition are parameter for shifting of tire natural frequency, which enables a designer of an automobile to foresee the influence of the various design factors on the road noise.

  • This paper deals with an application of Magneto-Rheological (MR) fluid to a small size mount for precision equipment of automobiles. MR fluid is known as a class of functional fluids with controllable apparent viscosity of fluid by the applied magnetic field strength. A typical MR fluid is a suspension where pure iron particles of $1{\sim}20mm$ in diameter are dispersed in a liquid such as mineral oil or silicone oil, at the concentration of $20{\sim}40$ vol%. Electro magnetic coil is installed at the bottom of a variable-damping mount filled with MR fluid, and its performance was investigated experimentally. Furthermore, the properties of the MR Mount on experimental Study were explained analytically by mechanical model of the MR mount.

The sections of various thickness, shape and weld width on the flange lave been tested on axial impact crush load (Mass 40kg, Velocity 7.19m/sec) using a vertical air pressure crash est device Characteristics of impact collapse have been reviewed and a structure of optimal energy absorbing capacity is suggested.

  • Quenchable boron steel is a new type of high strength steel to reduce the weight of automobiles and maintain the safety conditions. Quenchable blanks can be hot-stamped and hardened in a water-cooled tool to achieve high strength. In this paper, new alloy for hot stamping is designed based on requirement of mechanical properties and two types of surface coating are investigated in viewpoints of oxidization and exfoliation. An automotive part of center pillar is manufactured by hot-stamping using Al-Si coated sheet. The performance of developed part is compared by static compression test and side impact crash test.

  • In this paper, we propose structures and power spectral densities of UWB radar transmitters of Short Range Automobile. While the conventional transmitters did not consider interferences from self and other automobiles, the proposed method of this paper can minimize interferences. First, we compare a structure of the proposed method with pulse train and pulse compression method. Then, by using mathematical analysis and computer simulations, we show that the proposed method is superior to others. Also we can set proper parameters in UWB radar's transmitter through the numerical method of mathematical results.

  • Snow removal system is named for machinery which manages roads for passing of pedestrians and automobiles when snow is piled up on the road. This paper studies configuration design of snow removal system that has several functions-melting snow in the street without moving it to other place, transferring snow to the melter and cleaning road by spraying water for cleaning road. These sorts of functions are analyzed by function decomposition method of Kirshman and Fadel and, based upon which, machine parts are selected. Layout design would follow functional design to testify if the selected component satisfies space which is allowed by constraints.
