  • The Controller Area Network (CAN) is being widely used in real-time control applications such as automobiles, aircraft, and automated factories. Unfortunately, CAN, in its current form, is not able to either share out the system bandwidth among the different devices fairly or to grant an upper bound on the transmission times experienced by the nodes connected to the communication medium as it happens, for instance, in the token-based networks. In this paper. we present the message scheduling for CAN, based on the distributed control scheme to integrate actuators and sensors in a humanoid robot. Besides introducing the new algorism, this paper also presents some performance figures obtained using a specially developed software simulator, while the behavior of the new algorism is compared with the traditional CAN systems, in order to see how effective they are.

  • The simplest and lightest element-hydrogen is an alternative fuel which provides a clean and renewable energy source. Hydrogen can be used to power gas-type appliance and modified automobiles with water vapor as the only byproduct of combustion. Historically, production of hydrogen from coal was one of the mass production technology of hydrogen. In this paper, the status of hydrogen production process from coal was investigated to review the current situation of hydrogen production and utilization.

  • The nitrogen oxides, NO and NO2, abbreviated usually as NOx, emitted from combustion facilities such as power plants and automobiles are the typical air-pollutants causing acid rain and photochemical smog. In order to solve the NOx-related pollution problems effectively, we need efficient techniques to monitor NOx in the combustion exhausts and in environments. Development of solid-state electrochemical devices for detecting NOx is demonstrated based on various combination of solid electrolytes and auxiliary sensing materials. The object of this research is to develop various sensor performance for solid state amperometric sensor, and to test gas sensor performance manufactured. So we try to present a guidance for developing amperometric gas sensor.

  • According as quality of life improves, pursuit of agreeable iife became realistic problem. Specially, noise had been appraised to element that infiuence in human life directly and indirectly Therefore, necessity of study about noise control is increased for better labor conditions and agreeable habitat. In this paper, implementation of active mufflers using recursive LMS algorithms is presented. Analyze exhaust pipe noise of a gasoline and Diesel car and use adaptation IIR filter algorithm that stability is solidified and controled exhaust pipe noise of a car. computer simulation is performed to show the effectiveness of a proposed algorithm.

  • Increasing demand for safety features, driving comfort and operational convenience in automobiles requires an intensive use of electronic components such as sensors, actuators and Electronic Control Unit(ECU)'s. These growing number of electronics has given rise to problems concerning the increasing number, size and weight of the wiring harnesses. In order to resolve these problems, multiplexed wiring systems such as Controller Area Network(CAN) serial communication protocol are applied in vehicle. This paper introduces the development of Body Control Module(BCM)s using multiplexed wiring systems. The BCM's were developed and implemented using CAN, the most popular choice of in-vehicle communication protocols.

  • A relay is the one of small electrical components for automobiles and used for industry widely. We have developed the automation system for relay assembly and test to make it improve the productivity and decrease the man power. In order to determine the objective process of automation, we investigated 6 small and medium sized-enterprises and 1 greate sized-enterprise producing relays. And, we selected 2 model enterprises of them. One of the two is the system to develop. The scope of our study is the analyse of the conventional workcell, the determination of the system specification, the design of the system layout, the determination of the system cycle time, the design of the system mechanism, and the development of the controller for the system. We think that the developed system may be solve the technical and the economical problems interrupted efficiential automation of domastic small and medium sized-enterprises, and improve the international competitive power.

  • For driver's convenience, the ACC (Adaptive Cruise Control) requires a system which controls the vehicle to keep the distance among the automobiles constant. This paper describes the microstrip array antennas designed to operate at 24 GHz, and used as a direction indicator of moving vehicles. $8{\times}2$ transmit away antenna with wide beamwidth, $8{\times}4$ receive center array antenna, and two $8{\times}8$ receive array antennas with narrow beamwidth were designed. The measured result shows that the designed array antennas arc suitable fur detecting 3 directions of the vehicle when the scan angle is within the restricted area.

  • Carbon monoxide (CO) is a primary air pollutant as an indicator of air quality released from motor vehicle combustion. A comparative study of the distributions of CO concentration with no heat source in two tunnel models open and closed at both end sides is simulated with a commercial CFD code. The tunnel models are used to investigate the CO concentration distributions at three Reynolds numbers, which are computed by the inlet velocities of 0.3, 0.6 and 1.0 m/s. For a better tunnel design, the CFD predictive approaches are available in qualitatively studying the distributions of CO concentration. In the case of the tunnel open at both end sides in sixty seconds, the total CO concentrations are approximately twenty eight percent higher than those in the closed case.

  • The press-fit shaft is an important part used in automobiles, vessels, and trains. This study proposes an optimized design method to reduce damage that may occur in the press-fitted shaft by modifying the shape of the boss step of the press-fitted shaft. To reduce the time and cost of running the optimized design method, an approximate design optimization is applied and an optimized algorithm is generated using a genetic algorithm that is widely used in engineering fields and an approximate model using a response surface method. The planned experiments for the data that are needed to generate the approximate model use a central composite design (CCD) and Latin hypercube sampling (LHS), and the results of the approximate optimization using the above two design of experiments are to be compared.
