액상분사식 LPG엔진 인젝터의 후적 및 아이싱 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Droplets and Icing Characteristics on Injector in a Liquid Phase LPG Injection Engine)

  • Since the Liquid Phase LPG injection (LPLI) system has Advantages in power generation and emission characteristics compared to the mixer-type fuel-supply system, a variety of studies regarding LPLi system has been conducted and its applications are made in automobile industry. However, the heat extraction due to the evaporation of liquid fuel, causes not only a post-accumulation of fuel but also an icing phenomenon which is a frost of moisture in the air around the nozzle tip. Since there exists a difficulty in the accurate control of air fuel ratio in both fuel supply systems, it can result in poor engine performance and a large amount of harmful emissions. This research examines the characteristics of icing phenomenon and develops anti-icing bushing to prevent an icing on the surface of the injection tip. It was found that n-butane, which has a relatively high boiling point ($-0.5^{\circ}C$), was a main species of post-accumulation. Also the results show that the post-accumulation problem was allevaited the utilization of a large inner to outer bore ratio and smooth surface roughness. In addition, an icing phenomenon and its formation process were found to be mainly affected by the humidity and the temperature of inlet air in an inlet duct. Also, it was observed that an icing phenomenon is lessened using aluminum bushing whose end coincides with the end of fuel injection tip in length.

공회전 제한장치 차량에서 냉방 성능 유지를 위한 축냉 시스템 적용에 대한 연구 (Feasibility Study of Cold Storage System to Maintaining Cooling Performance for ISG Vehicle)

  • This study explores the feasibility of a cold storage system to provide thermal comfort for idle stop and go (ISG) vehicles. ISG function is the most valuable and environmental friendly technology in the current automobile industry. However, when an ISG vehicle stops, meaning when the engine standstill, the air-conditioning system does not work, because the compressor also stops. Therefore, passenger thermal comfort is not maintained, as cold air is not provided in the cabin. Consequently, many automakers have studied electric air-conditioning systems based on electrically-driven compressors or cold storage systems using phase-change materials. The experiments herein were conducted for the feasibility testing of different types of cold storage heat-exchangers, cold storage mediums, and thermo-expansion valves with current air-conditioners. The auxiliary cold storage system, filled with phase-change materials, was located behind the evaporator and almost stacked on top of it. In the experimental results, the air discharge temperature rate of increase was better than the conventional air-conditioning system when the compressor stopped and thermal comfort was maintained with $1.9{\sim}4.3^{\circ}C$ decreases within 60 seconds. The #1 cold storage heat-exchanger (CSH), #2 thermo-expansion valve (TXV) and #2 phase change material (PCM) were chosen because of the best temperature rise delay. It was concluded that a cold storage system is an effective solution for ISG vehicles to maintain thermal comfort during short engine stops.

시험모드 및 대기온도에 따른 경유자동차의 배출가스 특성에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Exhaust Gas Characteristics of the Vehicle Diesel according to the Test Mode and Ambient Temperature)

  • Environmental problems are issued throughout all over the world and which are needed the strength management. In case of the diesel cars are also being developing and studying continuously about various after-treatments device such as EGR, LNT, SCR, DPF and DOC etc. which are used for decreasing $NO_X$ and PM. The air temperature goes up to $39^{\circ}C$ in summer and goes down to $-20^{\circ}C$ in winter because of the location. These changing of the temperature can effect to the engine and harmful exhaust gas discharged and it seems to make the increase - decrease different. The result of the evaluate while changing between the test-mode and the air temperature, which expresses that WLTC-mode is 2.2 times and FTP_75 mode is 4.1~6 times increase to the comparison NEDC-mode of the current regulation. The exhaust characteristic of $NO_X$ by the changing temperature increases in the low temperature and 4.3 times in $14^{\circ}C$ and 21.3 times in $-7^{\circ}C$ with maximum when it compares to $23^{\circ}C$. The fuel efficiency of the different weight car and engine with same data is about 5.7 % in maximum.

  • As a demand for an automobile increases, air pollution and a problem of the energy resources come to the fore in the world. Consequently, governments of every country established ordinances for green-house gas reduction and improvement of air pollution problem. Especially, as international oil price increases, engine using clean energy are being developed competitively with alternative transportation energy sources development policy as the center. Bio ethanol, one of the renewable energy produced from biomass, gained spotlight for transportation energy sources. Studies are in progress to improve fuel supply methods and combustion methods which are key features, one of the engine technologies. DI(Direct Injection), which can reduce fuel consumption rate by injecting fuel directly into the cylinder, is being studied for Green-house gas reduction and fuel economy enhancement at SI(Spark Ignition). GDI(Galoine Direct Injection) has an advantage to meet the regulations for fuel efficiency and $CO_2$ emissions. However it produces increased number of ultrafine particles, that yet received attention in the existing port-injection system, and NOX. As fuel is injected into the cylinder with high-pressure, a proper injection strategy is required by characteristics of a fuel. Especially, when alcohol type fuel is considered. In this study, we tried to get a base data bio-ethanol mixture in GDI, and combustion for optimization. We set fuel mixture rate and fuel injection pressure as parameters and took a picture with a high speed camera after gasoline-ethanol mixture fuel was injected into a constant volume combustion chamber. We figured out spraying characteristic according to parameters. Also, we determine combustion characteristics by measuring emissions and analyzing combustion.

인휠 전기 구동 기반의 능동안전지원 알고리즘 개발 (Development of Algorithm for Advanced Driver Assist based on In-Wheel Hybrid Driveline)

  • 본 연구에서는 인휠 전기구동 시스템의 장점을 바탕으로 첨단능동안전지원 기술의 일종인 적응순항제어(Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC) 알고리즘의 고도화 방안을 제시한다. 본 연구에서 대상 차량은 전륜은 엔진에 의해, 후륜은 인휠모터에 의해 구동되는 4륜 하이브리드 구동계를 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는데, 이러한 구성은 기존 내연기관 차량을 개선하여 차량의 출력을 증가시키거나 4륜 하이브리드 형태로의 변화를 용이하게 하는 장점이 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 차량의 구성을 바탕으로 기본 상태에서는 엔진만을 이용하여 차간거리 제어를 수행하되, 젖은 노면 등 주행 환경에서 제어오차가 커지게 되면 후륜의 인휠모터를 구동하여 제어성능을 확보할 수 있는 ACC 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 ACC 알고리즘은 상기와 같은 방법으로 ACC 제어성능을 최적화함과 동시에 기존 4륜 자동차가 갖는 장점을 그대로 유지하도록 한다. 또한 본 연구에서는 고정밀 동역학 SW를 기반으로 대상 인휠모터 및 인휠 하이브리드 구동계, 해당 구동계 기반의 ACC 제어시스템을 모델링하였으며, 이를 통해 시뮬레이션 환경을 기반으로 제안된 알고리즘의 검증 결과를 제시한다.

스파크 점화기관의 점화코일 전류제어장치 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Electric Current Control Device for Ignition Coil in Spark Ignition Engine)

  • 본 논문은 스파크 점화방식의 엔진에서 차량의 주행상태에 따른 점화코일의 전류량을 측정하여 추가적인 전류를 공급하는 충전 전류제어장치를 설계 및 구현하였다. 1차 점화코일의 전류를 실시간 측정하여 차량 상태에 따른 안정적 전원 공급 및 과전류를 방지함으로써 차량 엔진의 출력증대 및 효율적인 연소가 가능하도록 점화에너지를 증가시켜 엔진 성능을 향상코자 하였다. 제안하는 장치의 유효성 실험을 위해 정상적으로 운행되는 차량에 장착 후 출력과 토크에 대한 성능평가를 하였으며, 다이나모 장비를 이용한 장치 실험결과는 장착전 후 출력과 토크 성능 대비 평균 10% 이상 증가함을 보여주었다.

APS법에 의한 경사기능성 지르코니아 열장벽 피막의 열충격 및 고온내마모 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study in the High Temperature Wear and Thermal Shock Resistance of the Functional Gradient Thermal Barrier Coating by Air Plasma Spray with ZrO$_2$)

  • The Thermal Barrier Coation(TBC) to improve the that barrier and wear resistant propenrty in high temperature ofthe aircraftength between the accumlation of the aircraft engine and the automobile engine has usually the two layer structure. One is a creamic top layer for heat insulation and the other is a metal bond layer to facilitate the bond strength between the top ceramic layer and the substrate. But, the coated layers should be peeled off because of the accumulation of the thermal stress by the differance of the thermal expantion coefficient between metal and ceramics in a hrat cyclic environment. In this study, the intermediate layer by plasm spray process was introduced to reduce the thermal stress. The powders of plasm spray coating were the Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YSZ), the Magnesia Stabillized Zirconia(MSZ) and NiCrAlY. the intermediate layer was sprayed with the powders of the bond cast for the purpose of test were executed. The high temperature wear resistance tends to decreasnceee wear and thermal shock test were exeucuted. The high temperature were resistance of the YSZ TBC is better that of the MSZ TBC. The wearrsistance tends to decrease accoring to incresing the temperature between $400^{\circ}C$to $600^{\circ}C$. The thermal shock life of the 3 layer TBC with YSZ top casting was the most outstanding thermal shock rsisstasnce. This means that the intermediate layer should play an importnat roll to alleviate the diffrerence of the thermal expansion coef frcients between metallic layer and cermics layer.

CMAC 신경회로망을 이용한 가솔린 분사 제어 시스템에 관한 연구 (The injection petrol control system about CMAC neural networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 산소 센서를 이용하여 CMAC 신경회로망 학습제어에 의한 차량의 연료분사 제어방법에 대해 논한다. 기본 차량 내연기관과 연료 분사 제어시스템의 동역학적인 비선형성으로 인하여 불연속적인 연로를 분사한다. 정밀 연료 분사량 제어에 어려움을 발생시키기 때문에 엔진성능은 저하된다. 본 연구에서는 CMAC 신경회로망을 이용한 연료 분사시스템을 제안한다. CMAC 신경회로망은 매우 넓은 범위의 함수로부터 비선형 관계를 학습 할 수 있고, 학습이 빠르며, 수렴 특성을 가지고 있다. 그리고 산소 센서의 출력특성을 파악하여 연료분사 속도를 계산해서 설정된 공연비 값을 유지시켜준다. 게다가 기존 가솔린 엔진의 구조변경이 없이 어떤 상황에서도 공연비를 정밀하게 제어할 수 있으며, 배기가스 배출량을 절감시킬 수 있다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 일반적인 차량의 제어 방법과 비교 분석하였고, 제안된 방법이 차량의 연비 향상과 친환경 성능 등에 더 효과적임을 확인하였다.

LabVIEW를 이용한 자동차 발전기 전압 계측시스템 (Measurement System for Vehicle Electric Power using LabVIEW)

  • 본 차량에 장착되는 전자장비의 증가로 인해 교류발전기와 배터리를 이용하여 전기에너지를 공급하고 있으며, 자동차 교류발전기의 수명단축은 교류발전기를 구성하고 있는 부속품들 중에 수명이 한정적이거나, 어떠한 조건에서 사용되느냐에 따라 수명에 영향을 끼치게 된다. 이러한 수명단축의 원인들을 파악하기 위해서는 교류발전기의 전압을 측정하여 분석하는 시스템이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자동차 교류발전기의 수명과 성능을 유지하기 위한 점검 및 정비에 필요한 정밀한 계측 시스템을 개발하였다. PC기반의 모니터링 시스템과 측정데이터를 저장할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하고, LabVIEW SW를 이용하여 계측 시스템을 구동하기 위한 프로그램을 개발하였다. 차동 OP-AMP회로를 이용하여 교류발전기의 발전전압, 여자전압, 램프전압, 배터리 전압, 크랭크 각 센서에 의한 엔진 회전수를 NI DAQ를 통하여 전압을 측정하고 LabVIEW 프로그램을 이용하여 측정데이터를 분석하였다. 기존에 개별적으로 이루어졌던 측정을 5개 채널까지 복합적이고 이동성이 용이한 측정이 가능하였고, 실시간으로 모니터링하며 분석하기 때문에 이상동작 유무 및 고장상태를 예측하기 위한 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

태양광 발전을 이용한 전기자동차 배터리 충전 및 공급시스템에 관한 연구 (A Study on Battery Charging and Supply System of Electric Vehicle Using Photovoltaic Generation)

  • Recently the Paris Climate Change Accord has been officially put into effect, making global efforts to implement Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reductions, and also International environmental regulations in the automotive sector will be further strengthened. The electric vehicle, which minimizes the particulate matter generated by existing internal combustion engine automobiles, is evaluated as a representative eco-friendly automobile. However, charging the battery of an electric vehicle is not fully environment-friendly if it is fueled by electricity that is being generated by fossil fuels as an energy source. The energy generated by the photovoltaic power generation system, which is an infinite clean energy, can be used to charge an electric vehicle's battery. Currently, shortage of charging facilities, time of charging, and high battery prices are the problem of activating the supply of electric vehicles. This study is to build a conjunction between the EVBSS (Electric Vehicle Battery Supply System) and ESS (Energy Storage System), which can quickly supply the photovoltaic charged battery to the required demand. If the charged battery in the Battery Swapping Station (BSS) is swapped swiftly, it will dramatically shorten the waiting time for charging the battery. As a result, if the battery is rented when it is needed, electric vehicles can be sold without the cost of a battery, which accounts for a large portion of the total cost, then the supply of electric vehicles are expected to expand. Furthermore, it will be an important alternative to maneuver climate change by minimizing GHG emissions from internal combustion engine vehicles.
