  • A grammar-based test case generation (GBTG) algorithm takes a grammar G and generates a subset of the language L(G) accepted by G, and called test cases for software product testing. As most languages specified with CFG are recursive, usually L(G) is so large that it is not practical to execute all the of the generated cases. Therefore, this paper presents some "tags" : extra-grammatical annotations which are designed to restrict the generation. A number of control mechanisms have been developed to prune the number of test cases generated while still producing a test set that covers the majority of inputs to the system.

  • Recently, the progress of industrialization has been taken concern of material handling automation. So far, the conveyor belt has been popular for material handling. However, this system has many disadvantages such as the space, cost, In this paper, a new navigation algorithm using fuzzy is introduced. The mobile robot follows a line installed on the roads. These informations are inputted with three approximate sensors. These obtained informations are analyzed with fuzzy technique for autonomous steering. Therefore, unlike existing systems, high reliability is guaranteed under bad environment conditions. The installation and maintenance of a line is easily made at lower cost. The use of the mobile robot can be extended to materials handing purposes in manufacturing, hospital, inter-of fire documents deliveries.

  • In coagulant control of water treatment plants, rule extraction, one of datamining categories, was performed for coagulant control of a water treatment plant. Clustering methods were applied to extract control rules from data. These control rules can be used for fully automation of water treatment plants instead of operator's knowledge for plant control. To perform fuzzy clustering, there are some coefficients to be determined and these kinds of studies have been performed over decades such as clustering indices. In this study, statistical indices were taken to calculate the number of clusters. Simultaneously, seed points were found out based on hierarchical clustering. These statistical approaches give information about features of clusters, so it can reduce computing cost and increase accuracy of clustering. The proposed algorithm can play an important role in datamining and knowledge discovery.

  • Automation systems are evolving in many areas of industry in recent years. At the same time, the necessity of the height inspection of the object by the 3D measurement is gradually increasing. Among the various 3D measurement methods, this paper discusses phase measuring profilometry(PMP). The PMP is a method of obtaining the height of an object using the phase value of the fringe pattern. Since the PMP is an algorithm requiring a large amount of computation, a method for efficiently solving the problem is needed. In this paper, we propose to use CUDA from NVIDIA to solve this problem. We also propose using pinned memory and streams provided by CUDA. This can greatly improve the measurement speed while maintaining accuracy. Finally, we demonstrate the performance of the proposed method through experiments.

  • In this paper, optimal tuning problem of power system stabilizer using IA-QFT is investigated to improve power system dynamic stability in spite of parameter variation and disturbance uncertainties. The most important feature of QFT is that it is able to deal with the design problem of complicated uncertain plants. However, loop shaping is currently performed in computer aided design environments manually and it is usually a trial and error procedure. It is difficult to design a controller to satisfy all specifications manually. To solve this problem, a study of design automation using IA needs to be taken into account. The robustness of the proposed controller has been investigated on a single machine infinite bus model. The results are shown that the proposed PSS using IA-QFT is more robust than conventional PSS.

  • Recently, vision system is widely used in factory automation processes. In this paper, the method which detects the badness in the position, slop, and the lead of chips is proposed for the inspection of semiconductor chips. The conventional methods mainly inspect semiconductor IC with the features which is extracted in image. But we propose the method which segments the lead part by the morphology and inspects the lead faults by the invariant moment. In the simulation. the results of the proposed method is better than those of the conventional method for the noisy and noiseless images .

  • Prediction models for post-chlorination require complicated information of reaction time, chlorine dosage considering flow rate as well as environmental conditions such as turbidity, temperature and pH. In order to operate post-chlorination process effectively, the correlations between inlet and outlet of clear well were investigated to develop prediction models of chlorine dosages in post-chlorination process. Correlations of environmental conditions including turbidity and chlorine dosage were investigated to predict residual chlorine at the outlet of clear well. A linear regression model and autoregressive model were developed to apply for the post-chlorination which take place time delay due to detention in clear well tank. The results from autoregressive model show the correlationship of 0.915~0.995. Consequently, the autoregressive model developed in this study would be applicable for real time control for post chlorination process. As a result, the autoregressive model for post chlorination which take place time delay and have multi parameters to control system would contribute to water treatment automation system by applying the process control algorithm.

  • Optical scanning systems use glavanometers to point the laser beam to the desired position on the workpiece. The angular speed of a galvanometer is typically controlled using Proportional+Integral+Derivative(PID) control algorithms. However, natural variations in the dynamics of different galvanometers due to manufacturing, aging, and environmental factors(i.e., process uncertainty) impose a hard limit on the bandwidth of the galvanometer control system. In general, the control bandwidth translates directly into efficiency of the system response. Since the optical scanning system must have rapid response, the higher control bandwidth is required. Auto-tuning PID algorithms have been accepted in this area since they could overcome some of the problems related to process uncertainty. However, when the galvanometer is attached to a larger mechanical system, the combined dynamics often exhibit resonances. It is well understood that PId algorithms may not have the capacity to increase the control bandwidth in the face of such resonances. This paper compares the achieable performance and robustness of a galvanometer control system using a PID controller tuned by the Ziegler-Nichols method and a controller designed by the Quantitative Feedback Theory(QFT) method. The results clearly indicate that-in contrast to PID designs-QFT can deliver a single, fixed controller which will supply high bandwidth design even when the dynamics is uncertain and includes mechanical resonances.

  • Closed-loop active twist control of integral helicopter rotor blades is investigated in this paper for reducing hub vibration induced in forward flight. A four-bladed fully articulated integral twist-actuated rotor system has been designed and tested successfully in wind tunnel in open-loop actuation. The integral twist deformation of the blades is generated using active fiber composite actuators embedded in the composite blade construction. An analytical framework is developed to examine integrally twisted helicopter blades and their aeroelastic behavior during different flight conditions. This aeroelastic model stems from a three-dimensional electroelastic beam formulation with geometrical-exactness, and is coupled with finite-state dynamic inflow aerodynamics. A system identification methodology that assumes a linear periodic system is adopted to estimate the harmonic transfer function of the rotor system. A vibration minimizing controller is designed based on this result, which implements a classical disturbance rejection algorithm with some modifications. Using the established analytical framework, the closed-loop controller is numerically simulated and the hub vibratory load reduction capability is demonstrated.

  • This paper presents the method of extracting the contour and shape parameters for moving object tracking in traffic scenes. The contour is extracted by applying difference image method in reduction image and the features are extracted from original image to grow the accuracy of tracking. We used features such as circle distribution, center moment, and maximum and minimum ratio. Data association problem is solved by these features. Kalman filters are used for moving object tracking on real time. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm appears to generate feature vectors good enough for multiple vehicle tracking.
