A Fuzzy-ARTMAP Equalizer for Compensating the Nonlinearity of Satellite Communication Channel

  • In this paper, fuzzy-ARTMAP neural network is applied for compensating the nonlinearity of satellite communication channel. The fuzzy-ARTMAP is made of using fuzzy logic and ART neural network. By a match tracking process with vigilance parameter, fuzzy ARTMAP neural network achieves a minimax learning rule that minimizes predictive error and maximizes generalization. Thus, the system automatically learns a minimal number of recognition categories, or hidden units, to meet accuracy criteria. Simulation studies are performed over satellite nonlinear channels. The performance of proposed fuzzy-ARTMAP equalizer is compared with MLP-basis equalizers.

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 편집중인 파일을 주기적으로 저장하여 파일이 저장되지 못한 상황에서도 쉽게 복구할 수 있는 파일 시스템을 설계하였다. 제안하는 파일 시스템은 Ext3 파일 시스템을 기반으로 자동 저장에 필요한 자료 구조와 기능을 추가하여 구현하였으며 리눅스 환경에서 사용할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 또한 파일 시스템을 사용하는 데 필요한 시스템 콜과 API를 추가하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to automatically extract stable visual landmarks from observed data for a mobile robot with stereo vision system. The robot selects as stable landmarks vertical line segments which are distinct and on planar surfaces, because they are expected to be observed reliably from various view-points. When the robot moves, it uses several, less uncertain landmarks for estimating its motion. Experimental results in real scenes show the validity of the proposed method.

  • In this research an induction motor vector control system was developed using Simulink and RTW(Real Time Workshop). On the Simulink window, control system is designed in the form of block diagrams, program codes are produced automatically with the RTW, then c compiler compiles the program codes. With this automatic real time program producing mechanism rapid prototyping is realized without the time-consuming manual program coding procedures.   • SMD(Surface Mounting Device) which mounts electronic components as IC-Chips on PCB automatically, produces a large dynamic force and vibration. The unwanted vibrations in SMD degrade the performance of the precision device and it is the major obstacle to limit its speed for mounting. This study investigated the vibration analysis of a typical SMD to predict the natural frequencies and mode shapes. To validate the finite element analysis of SMD, the FE result was compared with that of ODS measurements. It was shown that the predicted results were well correlated with the experimental modal parameters.

  • As the results of this study, the proposed method of this study which is increased to accuracy of DEM by classification of terrain is better than accuracy of DEM which is automatically generated by digital photogrammetry workstation system(DPWS). And, the edge detection method which is proposed by this study is established to extraction of geo-spatial information in ortho image.

  • This paper concerns the development of NC programming system TIG (Turning with Interactive Graphics) with interactive graphics for turning operation. The system cosists of the processor, the post-processor and the system-user interface. Different from previous segment contour based NC graphic programming systems, the frliability and efficiencyof programming is realized by using Boolean operation with block unit based ICONs for the geometry definition. The tool motion can be also displayed on the screen together with the part contour. The system calculate automatically the number of passes based on the user specified cutting conditions.

  • A method of estimating probability density using regression tools is presented here. It is based on equal-length binning and locally weighted approximate likelihood for bin counts. The method is particularly useful for densities with bounded supports, where it automatically corrects edge effects without using boundary kernels.

  • In this paper, the method of image feature extraction is proposed. This method employ the energy field analysis, outlier removal algorithm and ring projection. Using this algorithm, we achieve rotation-translation-scale invariant feature extraction. The force field are exploited to automatically locate the extrema of a small number of potential energy wells and associated potential channels. The image feature is acquired from relationship of local extrema using the ring projection method.
