A Study on the Development of Communication Control System for Pressure Automatic System (사출 자동화 시스템을 위한 통신 제어 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we added that developed communication control system between the PLC of pressure machine and the control computer, and developed a new protocol in order to communicate between the PLC signal of pressure machine and the control computer. This communication control systems play an important role in transforming the PLC vendor self-interface type and between computer and PLC. This system has PLC access function to control computer on the backbone network, and then could be operated by PLC through this system. The benefits we can obtain by developing this communication control systems are as follows; First, we can improve the quality of goods and the management of materials using the communication network and then implement the centralization management. Second, we can decrease manpower for production. Finally, we can maximize the company's profit with the increasing productivity by supervising the equipment wrong workings in the central.

  • Vessel maneuvering problem in the harbor area is generating considerable interests in terms of marine cybernetics. In this sense, the vessel is operated and moves at ultimately low or zero speed in shallow water area. So the vessel is usually aided by the cooperation with thrusters, main propulsion system, tugboats and pilots, etc. In this paper, we suggest a new vessel berthing technique using dampers and winches as a solution for excessively complicate and dangerous berthing work. In the proposed berthing method, in order to manipulate the actuators (winches and dampers), a simple and heuristic control strategy is applied for a basic experiment. Finally, experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed automatic vessel berthing strategy based on the heuristic control method.

  • The aim of this paper is to evaluation survey and improvement method of building service system insulation material incombustibility. In Korea, various insulation materials are being used to prevent energy losses. Performance of insulation materials is gradually advanced, and new insulation materials are developed and being used. We don't have prefer test standard of insulation material incombustibility. In this paper we investigate domestic and foreign standard about incombustibility Through the authors will show how we can improve incombustibility test standard in Korea.

  • This study treats the advantage of in situ line source method measuring the heat transfer capacity of a borehole, using mobile equipment, to determine the thermal properties of the entire borehole system such as thermal conductivity, diffusiveity. volumetric heat capacity, and borehole thermal resistance. The results from the response test include not only the thermal properties of the ground and the borehole, but also conditions that are difficult to estimate, e,g. natural convection in the boreholes, asymmetry in the construction, etc. In this study, 1) theoretical in situ methods for assessing working fluid temperature variation in V-type PE tube have been introduced, and 2) TRTE(Thermal Response Test Equipment) has been built based on these kinds of theoretical in situ methods. Basically TRTE consists of a pump, a heater and temperature sensors for measuring the inlet and outlet temperatures of the borehole. In order to make equipment easily transportable it is set up on a small trailer. Since the response test takes above two days to execute, the test was fully automatic in recording measured data using Labview DAS(Data acquisition system) program. The test was demonstrated in the course of intensive research in this field through the one site at Ulsan city in Korea. From this kind of thermal properties test of borehole systems in situ, the design of the borehole system can be optimized regarding the total geological, hydro-geological and technical conditions at the location.

  • For the integration test in the current field of defense simulation, each actual equipment and simulator's logging information is automated. Although the event of the integrated test system is written in the test log, it is not automated, and relies on the operator's handwriting or file creation, resulting in ineffective aspects such as low-quality record content and repetition of the same content. In this study, we propose the automatic test report recording program that solves these problems. Automatic test report recording program uses framework-based technology to receive information from the test control computer and user to record a log of the test log. Automatic test report recording program allows the user to record the repeated test content in a stable manner. Additionally, even if the number of test operators is limited, the efficiency is improved so that we can fucus on the integration test.

  • Automated container terminals have been developed over the world years and many countries are interested in them because the amount of containers exported or imported is rapidly increasing. The conventional container terminals were not designed to handle this kind of heavily many containers. They would face many structural problems soon or later, although they have been managed to do well so far. One of the most important things in automated container terminal is the handing equipments able to transfer many containers efficiently. Those are maybe automated transfer cranes, automatic guided vehicles and automated quay-side cranes. The word 'automated' means the equipment is operated without drivers and those equipments are able to work without any interruption in working schedule. Through the researches on the conventional transfer cranes, we decided that the structure of conventional transfer cranes is not proper in automated container terminal and it is not possible to handle so many container in limited time. Therefore we have been studying on the proper structure of the automated container for past several years and a new type of transfer cranes has been developed. Design concept and control method of the new crane are introduced and experimental results are presented in this paper.his paper.

  • AIS(Automatic Identification System) is a radionavigation equipment for exchanging safety related information between ships as well as ship and shore station, introduced by SOLAS convention and widely used especially in vessel traffic service. The dynamic data of AIS is transmitted at intervals of 2 second to 3 minutes depending on ship's navigational status and speed. However, so often times it happens that some AIS data can not be received due to increasing AIS traffic and it's time slot confliction. In this paper, a revised reporting intervals of AIS dynamic data is proposed in order to decrease AIS data link load.

Analysis of Wind Energy Potential on the West Coast of South Korea Using Public Data from the Korea Meteorological Administration (기상청 공공데이터를 활용한 대한민국 서해안 일대의 바람자원 분석)

  • The significance of renewable energy has been on the rise, as evidenced by the 3020 renewable energy plan and the 2050 carbon neutrality strategy, which seek to advance a low-carbon economy by implementing a power supply strategy centered around renewable energy sources. This study examines the wind resources on the west coast of South Korea and confirms the potential for wind power generation in the area. Wind speed data was collected from 22 automatic weather system stations and four light house automatic weather system stations provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration to evaluate potential sites for wind farms. Weibull distribution was used to analyze the wind data and calculate wind power density. Annual energy production and capacity factors were estimated for 15-20 MW-class large wind turbines through the height correction of observed wind speeds. These findings offer valuable information for selecting wind power generation sites, predicting economic feasibility, and determining optimal equipment capacity for future wind power generation sites in the region.

  • An engine for marine propulsion and power generation consists of several cylinder liner-piston sets. And the oil groove is on the cylinder liner inside wall for the lubrication between a piston and cylinder. The machining process of oil groove has been carried by manual work so far, because of the diversity of the shape. Recently, we developed an automatic grinding robot system for oil groove machining of engine cylinder liners. It can covers various types of oil grooves and adjust its position by itself. The grinding robot system consists of a robot, a machining tool head, sensors and a control system. The robot automatically recognizes the cylinder liner's inside configuration by using a laser displacement sensor and a vision sensor after the cylinder liner is placed on a set-up equipment.

  • This study investigated automatic malodor exhaust ventilating methods in a water closet system. Even though these days advanced equipment has been applied into the toilet in a building or house, the odor due to the evacuating the bowels should be carefully removed to maintain clean and pleasant toilet. Therefore, this study thoroughly considered the main causes of the malodor problems and suggested the best applicable methods to the closet system.
