Automatic Pipeline Welding System with Self-Diagnostic Function and Laser Vision Sensor

  • Automatic welding has been used frequently on pipeline projects. The productivity and reliability are most essential features of the automatic welding system. The mechanized GMAW process is the most widely used welding process and the carriage and band system is most effective welding system for pipeline laying. This application-oriented paper introduces new automatic welding equipment for pipeline construction. It is based on cutting-edge design and practical welding physics to minimize downtime. This paper also describes the control system which was designed and implemented for new automatic welding equipment. The system has the self diagnostic function which facilitates maintenance and repairs, and also has the network function via which the welding task data can be transmitted and the welding process data can be monitored. The laser vision sensor was designed for narrow welding groove in order to implement higher accuracy of seam tracking and fully automatic operation.

  • The variable-frequency type water supply equipment, which adopts the variable-voltage and variable-frequency converter(VVVF converter) to govern automatically the rotating speed of a pump, can save 15-20% of power, as compared with a throttle-controlled pump device or an airpressurized water supply equipment, and is finding a wide application. However, it still has some disadvantages : greater pressure fluctuations during switching over the pump and prolonged low-effeciency running of the pump in the case of small consumption of water. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the equipment to the fire water supply system where the water should not be put into use unless a fire takes place, and the water pressure in pipelines should permanently remain constant. This paper introduces the automatic regulation principle of the variable-frequency type air-pressurized water supply equipment (hereafter referred to as simply BFQS equipment) for dual purposes of daily life and fire control, which combined both technologies of speed governing by a converter and air-pressurized water supplying, then discusses some problems related to automatic control, and finally gives the experimental results of an embodiment-BPQS-100-50 water supply equipment.

  • Automatic control equipment in hydro power plant, such as turbine governor or automatic voltage regulator have to act promptly against for variation of power system, so it is necessary to check and test continuously. During last five years, the performance test of automatic control equipment was performed about 20 units of hydro turbine generator. In this process, because it has complex connection and before calibration, signal conditioner was developed as an auxiliary equipment for performance test. It includes function of signal amplifier, transducer, and meters. As a result of use this equipment for electric governor test at soyang-gang hydro power plant, it was possible to find output data equal to old one.

스틸 폐캔 再活用방법과 自動化 처리장치 (A Process for Recycling of Used Steel Can and Automatic Treatment System)

  • 본고는 스틸 폐캔을 재생 스틸로 용해시 금속 회수율을 높이기 위하여 스틸 폐캔을 예비처리하는 방법과 연속적으로 처리하기위한 자동화 장치에 관한 국내 개발 기술사례이다. 본 개발기술은 스틸 폐캔 더미의 와해, 이물질제거, 알루미늄 폐캔 분리, 도료와 락카제거 등의 예비처리 공정들과, 락카제거된 스틸 폐캔들을 다시 압착하여 일정한 크기의 더미로 제조하는 공정으로 구성되어 있으며, 스틸 폐캔 용해시에 적합한 형태로 처리하는 것을 최종목표로 하였다. 또한, 락카 제거시에 부산물로 발생된 철분과 알루미늄 분말 혼합물을 자력선별기를 사용하여 분리 회수하였다. 이와 같은 일련의 처리를 통해서 제강공장에서 재활용하기에 적합한 형태로 스틸 폐캔을 처리할 수 있으며, 전 공정을 자동화시킴으로써 대량의 스틸 폐캔을 효과적으로 처리할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 동아대학교 RRC에서 개발한 게이트 자동화 시스템에 적용된 DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) 시스템을 항만 내 야드 자동화에서도 이용하기 위해 이동 수송 차량에 장착되는 OBE(On-Board Equipment)와 야드에 설치되는 RSE(Road Side Equipment)간의 통신 소프트웨어 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 컨테이너 야드와 하역 시스템의 자동화를 구현하기 위해 OBE와 RSE간을 DSRC 방식으로 통신할 때 통신 대상에 따른 송수신 정보의 분류, 통신 대상의 분류 및 특성을 분석하였다.

무인단속장비와 UTIS 기지국 통합 방안 연구 (A Study on the Integration of Automatic Enforcement Equipment and UTIS Base Station)

  • 본 연구에서는 수도권을 중심으로 구축 운영 중에 있는 ITS 무선통신 인프라인 UTIS 서비스 지역을 확대하는 방안으로 전국에 약 5,000여대가 설치되어 있는 무인단속장비와 UTIS 기지국을 통합하는 방안을 제시하였다. 기존의 UTIS는 25m 높이에 기지국이 설치되고 광통신망을 통해 센터와 통신하는 반면, 무인단속장비는 6.6m 높이에 설치되어 임대 통신망을 통해 센터와 통신하는 등의 차이가 있다. 무인단속장비와 UTIS 기지국의 효율적인 통합방안을 제시하기 위해서 현황분석을 통해 1,628개소의 통합설치 개소를 선정하였고, 현장시험을 통해서 6.6m의 높이에서도 UTIS 요구성능을 만족하는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 통합에 적합한 통신망 및 시스템 구성방안을 제시하였으며, 통합 설치 시 비용 절감효과를 분석하여 현장시스템 구축 비용이 UTIS 기지국 단독 설치 시에 비해 약 1/5 수준으로 절감됨을 확인하였다.

  • An automatic welding system is designed for a part of fork lift. The system is composed of articulated type welding robot, welding positioners, shuttle for robot, system controller and welding equipment. From the application of the system, stable weld quality and production cost saving are achieved. In this paper, the hardware features and control structure of the system are presented.

  • The balance of high speed spindle system with high precision rotation like grinding machine is very important. Traditionally, we use trial and error method to balance the spindle. It takes much time. So we are developing the automatic balancing equipment being used in the grinding machine. The balancing head we develop is wireless. It will be used high-speed grinding machine. We use influence coefficient method to control the automatic balancer. Experiments are based on automatic and manual balancing. We perform test of the vibration filter. It helps to remove noise. The filter and experiments with automatic balancing controller show that automatic balancing control can be successfully achieved with the quick response and good stability characteristics.
