Planning and construction of railway for high speed trains up to 400 km/h are recently driven in Korea. High speed train is one of the environment-friendly fastest mass transportation means but its noise generated by rolling, traction and aerodynamic mechanism can cause public complaints of residents nearby railways. To cost-effectively prevent the troublesome noise in a railway planning stage, the rational railway noise prediction method considering the characteristics of trains as well as railway structures should be required but it is difficult to find an authentic method for Korean high speed trains such as KTX and KTX-II. In this study, recent railway noise prediction methods developed by EU countries are introduced and discussed for consulting before setting the framework of our own railway noise prediction model emitted by Korean high speed trains over 250 km/h. Especially, the new Schall 03 model (2006) developed by Germany and IMAGINE model (2007) suggested by an EU framework research project are intensively reviewed. In addition, research items required for the development of our own model are suggested.
Purpose: As global interest in environmental issues increases, the demand for green products/services is increasing. Companies are establishing eco-friendly policies to meet the changing expectations of customers. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of eco-friendly behavior and third-party certification on trust, satisfaction, and loyalty as well as the mediating role of satisfaction based on SOR and signaling theory. Research design, data and methodology: This study collected data from 501 respondents who visited restaurant and analyzed using measurement model with SPSS 28.0 and SmartPLS 4. Results: First, restaurants' eco-friendly behavior and third-party certification (TPC) positively influenced trust while these did not influence satisfaction. Second, trust positively influenced satisfaction. Third, trust and satisfaction positively influenced loyalty. Fourth, TPC had stronger impact on trust and satisfaction compared to eco-friendly behavior in female group while TPC had stronger impact on trust in male group. Conclusions: This study emphasized the importance of TPC over eco-friendly behavior. Restaurants should maintain pro-environmental behaviors such as reducing single-use items while obtaining TPC such as ISO and LEED certifications to increase customer trust. It also found the importance of trust and satisfaction in securing loyal customers. Restaurants should make efforts to build bonds with customers through authentic marketing such as events that encourage customer participation.
This study investigated player responses to microtransactions in freemium Massively multiplayer online roleplaying games (MMORPG), specifically focusing on the game LostArk using English language review data. To this end, structural topic modeling was employed and the following six microtransaction-relevant topics were identified: microtransactions, developer issues, real money trade (RMT), random number generator (RNG) upgrade system, game content, and collectibles & adventure. The first four topics were classified as being "not recommended". However, the proportions of microtransaction-related topics were relatively lower than the other topics. Additionally, this study did not extract keywords related to unfairness and unethical issues in previous microtransaction research. The last two topics, game content, and collectibles & adventure were "recommended" topics, indicating positive functions of microtransactions such as enhancing the game experience by purchasing virtual items. Moreover, it was found that players who do not engage in microtransactions can still be satisfied through continuous game content updates. Additionally, an examination of the interaction effect between time and recommendation status revealed that while the frequency with which the six microtransaction-related topics were mentioned increased over time in the reviews, the ratio of recommendations to non-recommendations varied differently. This study contributes to game-related research by revealing players' authentic opinions on microtransactions in freemium MMORPGs, thereby providing practical implications for game companies.
The aim of the paper is to ameliorate old research methods of Korean Pharmaceutical Codex to adjust the newest scientistic level which is necessary to maintain quality of medical supplies effectively. After reviewing result of Establishment of Dissolution Specifications for Generic Drugs in Korea Pharmaceutical Codex Monograph, there are two items chosen for the methods - Establishment of Dissolution Specifications for Generic Drugs in Korea Pharmaceutical Codex Monograph which KFDA researched in 2010, arranged new measuring standard by having an experiment to set measuring method after obtaining each item. According to the result, The experiment includes a measuring method of two items; Nafronyl Oxalate Capsules, and Ticlopidine Hydrochloride Tablets. The research is ameliorated by research methods through several experiments such as High Performance Liquid Chromatography validation, preparing items, implement of trial-experiment and authentic experiment, and experiment on measuring method of regulations of Korea Pharmaceutical Codex. The experiments are taken opinions of experts in KFDA into consideration and wrote out a report of the new measuring method on each last item. The report is combined as each two experiment sections of analyzing method to maintain the quality on the basis of the research in 2010 on setting of dissolution specifications for oral solid dosage forms. The result of measuring method of medical supplies through modernizing trial method of oral solid dosage forms is available to be accurate. In conclusion, this study could contribute to promotion of public health by organizing a basis for safe and high quality of medical supplies in domestic market.
This study aims to develop a scientific creativity test for exploring the relationship between elementary students' creative process and product. For this, the researcher reviewed the literatures of scientific creativity and developed the items based on the constructs of creative process and product. After a review conducted by nine science education specialists, a pilot test, and additional revision and supplementation of observation test, the test, consisting of two sets-"animals" and "plants"-was finally conducted on 105 fifth-grade students. The test results were analyzed by using statistical analysis software. WinSteps, SPSS, and AMOS. The main findings from this study are as follows. First, when it comes to scientific creativity, creative process consists of science knowledge, inquiry skills, and creative thinking skills (divergent, convergent, and associative thinking skills). Creative product in science is a new and scientifically useful idea realized in a certain form. Second, observation, which was selected as a representative inquiry skill in this research, should not be related to creative thinking skills. Third, among the rest of the items, usefulness had the lowest averages, as it was, perhaps, difficult to satisfy the teachers' criteria for the scientific validity and usefulness. Fourth, the Spearman correlation coefficients between the items of "animals" and "plants" to find out the parallel-form reliability were significant, except for the item of originality. Fifth, the test was satisfactory with regard to the three aspects of construct validity-convergent, discriminant, and nomological. This study concludes by discussing the usefulness of this test, which has the possibility of exploring the relationship between creative process and product and of playing a role as an authentic evaluation tool in school.

This study investigates Korean consumers' general perception on brand authenticity, tests the influences of authenticity determinants on the evaluation of fashion brand authenticity and compares the influences in terms of brand category (luxury/non-luxury). A three-stage methodological approach was adopted: (1) A literature review identifies authenticity determinants and generates measurement items. (2) A preliminary study uses a quantitative survey (n=50) to purify the determinants. (3) A quantitative consumer survey (n=150) identifies general perceptions on brand authenticity by measuring the perceived relevance of brand authenticity on determinants and explores the influence of determinants on authenticity evaluations using purified measurements of authenticity determinants. The results of general perception on brand authenticity show that Korean consumers deem authentic brands as honest, sincere and socially responsible. The results indicate obvious differences between luxury and non-luxury brands towards the influence of perceived authenticity determinants (genuine, consistent, original, traditional and authoritative) on authenticity evaluation of luxury/non-luxury brands. In non-luxury brands, only 'genuine' and 'consistent' have significant effects that are similar to the results of the general perception on brand authenticity. However, only 'consistent' and 'authoritative' have significant effects for luxury brands and are different from the general perception.

In future, we expect it by can guide positive participation about distributed authentication technique of the genuine ubiquitous environment.
Purpose: Most of all studies regarding corporate social responsibility have been dealing with its direct performance. Many previous studies provided the evidence that corporate social responsibility activities directly affect firms' competitiveness or corporate reputation. However, there are no studies regarding the role of social capital between corporate social responsibility and firms' competitiveness. The present study aims to examine a mediating role of social capital between corporate social responsibility and corporate reputation. Research design, data and methodology: The structural equation model integrating corporate social responsibility, social capital, and corporate reputation was proposed with three hypotheses. Questionnaire including 15 question items for three concepts was designed. Data for testing hypotheses were collected from students and staff who had experienced the social responsibility activities of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Co. Ltd. SPSS and SmartPLS were used to analyze data. Results: All three hypotheses were supported at the significance level of 0.01. Corporate social responsibility have a significant influence on social capital as well as corporate reputation. Social capital plays a mediating role in the relationship between corporate social responsibility and corporate reputation. Conclusions: The present paper identified a missing link between corporate social responsibility and corporate reputation by validating an indirect effect of corporate social responsibility on corporate reputation through social capital. The present study contributes to finding the indirect link between corporate social responsibility and corporate reputation. Implications for academics and practitioners. The research model can be extended to analyze the relationship between corporate social responsibility and its performance. The present study sheds light on identification of a new role of social capital. Managers of firms have the opportunity to recognize the fact that investment recovery of corporate social responsibility results from social capital and corporate reputation in long-term rather than short-term. The results of this study offers an insight that managers can enhance customer loyalty. The process linking corporate social responsibility to corporate reputation through social capital implies that firms can realize spiritual marketing delivering authentic storytelling through corporate social responsibility. The present study has a limitation for generalizing of research results because the sampling came from a case of firm.
When standardized patients (SPs) are used for educational purposes, the authenticity of role play and the quality of feedback are essential requirements of SPs. This study was conducted to investigate medical students' assessment of SPs and to identify the components of SPs' performance that were most strongly correlated with patient-physician interaction score. One hundred and forty-two fourth-year medical students were asked to complete the Maastricht Assessment of Simulated Patients (MaSP) at the end of a clinical performance examination. SPs evaluated the patient-physician interactions using a 4-point Likert scale (1=poor to 4=excellent). Medical students' assessment of SPs using the MaSP was positively correlated with patient-physician interactions (r=0.325, p<0.01). Items addressing the authenticity of role play (e.g., "SPs appear authentic," "SPs might be real patients," and "SPs answer questions in a natural manner") were closely correlated with patient-physician interactions (p<0.001, p=0.027, and p=0.017, respectively). These results showed that the MaSP appears to be a useful instrument for evaluating SPs' performance and that the authenticity of SPs' performance was positively correlated with medical students' interactions. In order to improve patient-physician interactions, medical students should be given opportunities to practice their skills with SPs who have been trained to portray patients with a specific condition in a realistic way.

An evaluation system of teaching is one of authentic assessment tools for improving the quality of higher education. The purpose of this study is to cultivate the class evaluation system in the college of engineering based on the empirical analysis of the results of the class evaluation. Especially, this study investigates the validity evidence using the confirmatory factor analysis of the class evaluation. The data used in this study were acquired from 49,127 student's evaluation responses of 471 courses offered in colleges of natural science and engineering at a university in Korea. The reliabilities are quite good for every construct by producing an index value from 0.92 to 0.98. The results provides a guideline for an appropriate measurement model to report the information, to clarify quality and appropriateness of instrument items, to make recommendations for which items should be left or merged in the revised instrument. A special suggestion for improving student's evaluation of each course is to prepare a well-designed instruction for students explaining why and how to evaluate the course in order to produce reliable and valid results.
