The purpose of this study is to derive the implications needed to improve reading and information literacy and provide information services for students and citizens through changes in the concept of PISA 2018 Reading Literacy and its Assessment Framework analysis. The findings of the study are as follows. First, meaning of PISA Reading Literacy concept has changed along with the changes of the social and technological environments. Second, concept and assessment framework included the whole process of reading. Third, the Assessment Framework included a number of factors similar to the cognitive process of the information literacy model like Big6 Skills, but also there were differences. Fourth, the digital reading is reflected in the Assessment Framework. The PISA 2018 Reading Literacy Assessment Framework provides implications for the standards and methods required for librarians to develop reading and information literacy models and assessment frameworks to improve citizens' reading and information literacy, and to provide information services to them.

Information literacy has been defined as "the ability to access, evaluate, and use information from a variety of sources." Recently, information literacy has become a hot topic in Korean education circles and school library fields, but few publications describe how to assess information literacy skills. This study is the first stage to develop a measurable assessment tool of the information literacy skills of korean high school students. In this paper, related projects, curricular models, and rubrics are reviewed and an assessment tool is suggested. This tool will be field-tested and revised on the results in the near future.

With the recent growth of information technology, various literacy such as digital literacy, data literacy, AI literacy is being studied. In this paper, we focus on data visualization literacy as visualization is an essential part of big data analysis and is used in several mobile apps. Visualization Literacy Assessment Test(VLAT) was developed in 2016 and we introduce how the test was developed and modified to a Korean version, K-VLAT. K-VLAT is consisted of 12 visualizations and 53 questions through a website. Additionally, to understand the research trend in visualization literacy we analyzed 81 papers that had cited the VLAT publication. We categorized the research into 4 categories with 11 sub-categories. The area of studies visualization literacy related to was understanding the relation with cognition, expanding the literacy measures, relation with education, utilization for developing user-centric dashboards or using the test to show effectiveness of visualizations. At last, we discuss about different ways to utilize K-VLAT for future research.

This study was conducted with the aim to develop and improve the assessment literacy of teachers which enables it to develop and utilize the assessment items using a wide range of contexts on the basis of an understanding of math contents and mathematical process specified in the math curriculum and to analyze the results in an effective way. To analyze the changes in the development and improvement of the assessment literacy of preservice math teachers, the author of this study, using PISA items and assessment framework, analyzed the changes through the 1st and 2nd development of assessment items. The results showed the assessment literacy of preservice math teachers and their ability have been improved, implying that there is the necessity to develop a wide range of programs to improve the assessment literacy of preservice math teachers and provide such programs on a regular basis, which will facilitate effective math teaching and learning.

Purpose: This study developed a self-report measure for easy assessing of the health literacy of Asian immigrant women in South Korea. Methods: After a literature review, focus group interviews, and content validity evaluation, 14 preliminary items were generated. These were translated into Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. Data were collected from 229 Asian immigrant women. Validity and reliability tests were conducted. Results: Factor analysis yielded final 10 items in three factors: primary functional and interactive health literacy, secondary functional and interactive health literacy, and critical health literacy, which explained 61.90% of the total variance of health literacy. In known-group comparisons, health literacy was significantly lower in recent immigrants, those with a low education level, and those with low Korean language proficiency. For convergent validity, health literacy was positively associated with health specific self-efficacy and maternal health knowledge. For criterion-related validity, health literacy was positively associated with the REALM-SF. The overall reliability coefficient (Cronbach's ${\alpha}$) of the instrument was .773. Conclusion: The Health Literacy Assessment Scale for Asian Immigrant Women (HLAS) represents a multidimensional construct which encompasses functional, interactive, and critical health literacy. This self-report HLAS can be a useful and convenient method for appraising the health literacy of Asian immigrant women.

In particular, this study reviewed the assessment framework and exemplary CBA items which was developed for OECD PIAAC(Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies).

Objectives : Health literacy can affect medical results. This study aimed to detect to the modify point of health literacy assessment tools. Methods : The general Korean Medicine service procedure was recorded and categorized. The participants were in- or out-patient of Korean Medical hospital. Written informed consents were obtained. Results : A total of 20 patients participated, with nine males and eleven females. The chief complaints were pain, growth, cerebral infarction sequela, dyspepsia, diarrhea, feeling of helplessness, mental stress, postpartum symptoms, and menstrual disorder. The Korean Medicine service were categorized into collecting patient information, relationship building, and treatment. Terms used in the service embraced general medical terms and Korean Medical terms. Conclusions : The Korean-medical health literacy assessment tool should incorporate western-eastern combined treatment and Korean medical terms.

In education, evaluation is an important element because instructor can judge the growth and development of students, it has been to bring about quality improvement in education. Performance assessment has emerged to overcome traditional evaluation such as paper test, multiple choice test. Performance assessment is an approach to measuring a student's status based on the way the student completes a specified task. Information literacy instruction is aimed at cultivating information literacy. Performance assessment suitable for measurement to status of Information literacy. In order to performance assessment, task should have the first. However, instructor is difficult to develop a good performance task to meet the assessment needs. Therefore, this research aims at suggesting the developmental tool of performance task applicable to Information literacy instruction. The proposed tool is a template type, consists of 4 steps, educational goals and learning objectives, knowledge and capabilities, task types, measurement and scoring criteria.

This study aimed to develop a self-reporting assessment tool for digital literacy competence to use it as a tool for self-diagnosis or effectiveness verification in educational programs, considering that digital literacy competence is one of the core competencies for the present and future society. Based on the previous research on digital literacy competence, the tool was developed with 45 question items of 2 areas and 8 factors. The results of an exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis conducted to determine suitability were generally satisfactory based on the assessment data from about 3,000 middle school students. The assessment tools developed in this study are primarily applicable to primary and secondary school and adult education. In future research, if the system is developed to be accessible to anyone online based on this tool, and the accumulated data provide educational information for each individual's self-development, it will greatly contribute to improving the digital literacy competence of the people.

This thesis presents the methods and tool development of performance assessment as final stage for information literacy instruction of teacher-librarians. The evaluation is an important part in information literacy instruction of teacher-librarians in the school libraries. But until now, there is little research on evaluation methodologies in the instructional activities of teacher-librarians. There is only evaluation domain presented in the primary and secondary 'Information and the Library' curriculum. To develop an evaluation model as a base for measuring performance assessment related to teacher-librarians is important. The goal of this thesis is to provide teacher-librarians with basic principles to develop many kinds of performance assessment tools in their own instructional activities.
