유연 조립셀의 개발에 관한 연구 (A study on the development of a flexible assembly cell)

  • A pilot system for flexible automatic assembly has been built at ASRI in Seoul National University. The system is designed for being capable of assembling different variants and products. The system consists of three industrial robots, four free-flow conveyors, automatic tool changers, RCC and fixtures. This paper describes the concept and the technical solutions of the developed flexible assembly cell. Results of performance evaluation using colored petri net are also presented and discuss.

  • We developed a Off-Line Graphic Simulator which can simulate a robot model in 3D graphics space in Windows 95 version. 4 axes SCARA robot was adopted as an objective model. Forward kinematics, inverse kinematics and robot dynamics modeling were included in the developed program. The interface between users and the off-line program system in the Windows 95's graphic user interface environment was also studied. The developing language is Microsoft Visual C++. Graphic libraries, OpenGL, by Silicon Graphics, Inc. were utilized for 3D graphics.

  • We have developed a web server for the high throughput annotation of gene. This system processes entire data sets with an automated pipeline of 13 analytic services, then deposits the data into the MySQL database and transforms it into three kinds of reports: preprocessing, assembling and annotation.

  • Hybrid Electronic Vehicle (HEV) is one of the solutions of high oil price and environment problem. Recently, study of HEV is important for automobile industry. However HEV has a lot of components and there are many cases for assembling, it's impossible to test results from assembling by using real vehicles. To solve this problem, hybrid system simulator is required. The purpose of this study is to develop and optimize of engine module for hybrid system simulator. The commercial 1-D engine simulation program, WAVE is used to get the engine capacity and performance data and 1-D simulation model of base engine is compared with engine experiment results. Using the data, the engine module is developed based on the MATLAB Simulink. There are blocks of base engine, Single-CVVT engine and Dual-CVVT engine. The effect of acceleration and deceleration is applied to each engine block. In addition, the control and processing logics for CIS technology are developed. Finally the simulator operates FTP-72 mode test.

  • 자동차 산업은 전 세계적으로 매출액이 1조 달러가 넘고 1천만 명 이상을 고용하고 있는 세계최대 제조업으로서, 약 2만 여개의 부품으로 완성되는 복합적 성격의 대표적인 산업이며 자동차 조립공정은 도장된 차체에 약 3천여 종의 내장, 계기판, 시트, 유리, 엔진, 트랜스미션, 차축 등의 유닛(Unit)을 조립하는 노동집약적 공정으로, 타 공정에 비해 자동화 비율이 가장 낮은 특징을 가지고 있다. 또한, 현재의 자동차 조립공정은 작업자의 조립작업에 대한 실시간 모니터링이 이루어지고 있지 못한 실정으로, 작업자의 작업 공구위치 측정시스템의 도입을 통해 공구의 위치를 실시간으로 파악하고 분석하여 일관된 작업 순서를 지시하면서 작업의 누락 및 가감을 체크한다면, 자동차 제조공정에서 발생할 수 있는 불량을 사전에 차단하여 조립공정의 생산성 및 품질향상을 이룰 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 작업자의 작업공구 위치 측정 시스템의 도입을 통해 일관된 작업 순서를 지시하면서 작업의 누락 및 가감을 체크하고, 제조공정에서 발생할 수 있는 조립불량을 사전에 차단하여 조립공정의 생산성 및 품질향상을 이룰 수 있는 실시간 공구 위치추적 시스템의 구성을 위하여 UWB(Ultra Wide Band) 무선측위를 활용한 공구의 실시간 위치추적시스템을 개발하고 그 효용성을 증명하고자 한다.

그물코의 길이와 콧수의 변화에 따른 모노필라멘트 자망 그물감의 중량 계산 (Calculation of weight on netting with the changes of size and number of mesh for monofilament gill net fishing gear)

  • A net-assembling company for gill net fishing gears makes a design based on the size of nets provided and determines floats, types of weights, and numbers. In addition, through the accurate examination of net weights in the process of fishing gear designing, it can prevent an excessive use of designing costs. The weight of twine can be easily calculated by its thickness differences, but the weight of netting has errors to be calibrated since the weight of netting is not changing exponentially with the changes of number and size of meshes. This study aims to suggest and empirically analyze the methods for estimating the weights of netting in accordance with the changes of number, size and thickness of meshes for a sound management of netting and net-assembling companies. Results indicated that the method using the knots and legs of netting was not practically usable because the errors were increased as the number of mesh increased. However, the method using netting area shown its usage potentiality with the calibration of the increasing ratio of mesh numbers.

  • According to the manual of shoemaking, the urethane adhesive for dress shoe applicable to the cementing process in KS G 3116 has been steadily developed. The evaluation test result of urethane adhesive, which is a mathematical model of men's shoe on shoemaking, is presented. Also, the quality test result of urethane adhesive, which is a list of experiment for field application and a model of assembling component in each unit process is introduced.

Robustness and resilience of a passive control solution assembling buffer and cladding panels

  • The adoption of cladding panels as dissipation device is a sort of passive control "ante litteram" for residential and commercial buildings. This paper gives details on the current technology outlining the difference between buffer panels and cladding panels. The discussion of robustness and resilience of the resulting system is afforded. It is shown that the strength of such solution, originally related to economy and light weight, is mainly associated with the respect of the main robustness requisites, as well as the short time it requires for removal and replacement (resilience).

  • The main objective of this paper is to develop the computer-aided vibrational signal processing and monitoring system of rotating machinery. This system has an automatic data acquisition capability and analyze for machine fault diagnosis. By spectrum analysis, machine’s failure can be identified. The monitoring system enables diagnosis of the fault in rotating machinery. In this study, the conventional electrical fans are selected as a model case. The date processing and fault monitoring system proposed here can be applied to the automation of the inspection process in assembling motor-shaft systems. The automatic inspection can enhance the product quality and keep it stable. Since the proposed system is developed for personal computers, it might be cheap in cost and easy in installation.

  • It is difficult to separate those of NC controller from the error of machine tools because the conventional testing methods to inspect the performance are including the errors of moving system, therefore it has been used as the methods that compare the other controllers. Also, it is hard to predict the machine itself errors with the methods assembling the NC controller and moving system on machine because of the variable load conditions. In this study, the performance inspecting system was developed by analyse the $axis\_rotating$ properties of servo system finally outputting from NC controller. The axis torque was controlled by motor dynamometer and the rotating position accuracy was measured by this developed system.
