고장 시에 발생된 직류 및 고조파 성분 전류는 ADALINE(Adaptive-Linear Neuron)을 통해 얻는다.

  • This study investigates the prediction of daily water supply, which is a necessary for the efficient management of water distribution system. Fuzzy neuron, namely artificial intelligence, is a neural network into which fuzzy information is inputted and then processed. In this study, daily water supply was predicted through an adaptive learning method by which a membership function and fuzzy rules were adapted for daily water supply prediction. This study was investigated methods for predicting water supply based on data about the amount of water supplied to the city of Kwangju. For variables choice, four analyses of input data were conducted: correlation analysis, autocorrelation analysis, partial autocorrelation analysis, and cross-correlation analysis. Input variables were (a) the amount of water supplied (b) the mean temperature, and (c)the population of the area supplied with water. Variables were combined in an integrated model. Data of the amount of daily water supply only was modelled and its validity was verified in the case that the meteorological office of weather forecast is not always reliable. Proposed models include accidental cases such as a suspension of water supply. The maximum error rate between the estimation of the model and the actual measurement was 18.35% and the average error was lower than 2.36%. The model is expected to be a real-time estimation of the operational control of water works and water/drain pipes.

  • In general, small-sized neural networks, even though they show good generalization performance, tend to fail to team the training data within a given error bound, whereas large-sized ones learn the training data easily but yield poor generalization. Therefore, a way of achieving good generalization is to find the smallest network that can learn the data, called the optimal-sized neural network. This paper proposes a new scheme for network pruning with ‘impact factor’ which is defined as a multiplication of the variance of a neuron output and the square of its outgoing weight. Simulation results of function approximation problems show that the proposed method is effective in regression.

  • In this paper, a method of improving the learning time and convergence rate is proposed to exploit the advantages of artificial neural networks and fuzzy theory to neuron structure. This method is applied to the XOR Problem, n bit parity problem which is used as the benchmark in neural network structure, and recognition of digit image in the vehicle plate image for practical image application. As a result of the experiments, it does not always guarantee the convergence. However, the network showed improved the teaming time and has the high convergence rate. The proposed network can be extended to an arbitrary layer Though a single layer structure Is considered, the proposed method has a capability of high speed 3earning even on large images.

  • Purpose: This study aimed at finding the optimal input variables of the artificial neural network-based predictive model for the optimal controls of the indoor temperature environment. By applying the optimal input variables to the predictive model, the required time for restoring the current indoor temperature during the setback period to the normal setpoint temperature can be more precisely calculated for the cooling season. The precise prediction results will support the advanced operation of the cooling system to condition the indoor temperature comfortably in a more energy-efficient manner. Method: Two major steps employing the numerical computer simulation method were conducted for developing an ANN model and finding the optimal input variables. In the first process, the initial ANN model was intuitively determined to have input neurons that seemed to have a relationship with the output neuron. The second process was conducted for finding the statistical relationship between the initial input variables and output variable. Result: Based on the statistical analysis, the optimal input variables were determined.

  • Finding solutions for the disabled is a major challenge for our society. In the case of a disability due to a malfunction of the nervous system, the origin may be accidental, genetic, or induced by environmental factors. This type of loss can cause loss or movement disorders (paraplegia, hemiplegia, quadriplegia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, etc.) or malfunction of certain sensory functions (blindness, deafness, chronic pain, etc.). Many alternatives, more technology, have been imported to create interfaces between the human body and an artificial prosthesis in order to restore some functions of the human body. A wireless system, battery neurons probe was developed for one hand reading neural signals in the brain, and on the other hand also able to excite the neuron in the brain using a surface acoustic wave one ports (SAW) delay line reflection.

  • Kalman filtering (KF) is hard to be applied to the SINS (Strap-down Inertial Navigation System)/RDSS (Radio Determination Satellite Service) integrated navigation system directly because the time delay of RDSS positioning in active mode is random. BP (Back-Propagation) Neuron computing as a powerful technology of Artificial Neural Network (ANN), is appropriate to solve nonlinear problems such as the random time delay of RDSS without prior knowledge about the mathematical process involved. The new algorithm betakes a BP neural network (BPNN) and velocity feedback to aid KF in order to overcome the time delay of RDSS positioning. Once the BP neural network was trained and converged, the new approach will work well for SINS/RDSS integrated navigation. Dynamic vehicle experiments were performed to evaluate the performance of the system. The experiment results demonstrate that the horizontal positioning accuracy of the new approach is 40.62 m (1 ${\sigma}$), which is better than velocity-feedback-based KF. The experimental results also show that the horizontal positioning error of the navigation system is almost linear to the positioning interval of RDSS within 5 minutes. The approach and its anti-jamming analysis will be helpful to the applications of SINS/RDSS integrated systems.

  • This paper presents a new method to implement Hebbian learning method on artificial neural network. In hebbian learning algorithm, complexity in terms of multiplications is high. To save the chip area, we consider a new learning circuit. By calculating similarity, or correlation between $X_i$ and $O_i$, large portion of circuits commonly used in conventional neural networks is not necessary for this new hebbian learning circuit named COR. The output signals of COR is applied to weight storage capacitors for direct control the voltages of the capacitors. The weighted sum, ${\Sigma}W_{ij}O_j$, is realized by multipliers, whose output currents are summed up in one line which goes to learning circuit or output circuit. The drain current of the multiplier can produce positive or negative synaptic weights. The pass transistor selects eight learning mode or recall mode. The layout of an learnable six-neuron fully connected Hopfield neural network is designed, and is simulated using PSPICE. The network memorizes, and retrieves the patterns correctly under the existence of minor noises.

  • When tunnel is excavated via drilling and blasting, the excessive overbreak is the primary cause of personal or equipment safety hazards and increasing the cost of the tunnel operation owing to additional ground supports such as shotcrete. The practical management of overbreak is extremely difficult due to the complex causative mechanism of it. The study examines the relationship between rock mass characteristics (unsupported face condition, uniaxial compressive strength, face weathering and alteration, discontinuities- frequency, condition and angle between discontinuities and tunnel contour) and the depth of overbreak through using feed-forward artificial neuron networks. Then, Overbreak Resistance Factor (ORF) has been developed based on the weights of rock mass parameters to the overbreak phenomenon. Also, a new concept of tunnel overbreak management system using ORF has been suggested.

  • Conventional concrete needs some improvement in the mechanical properties, which can be obtained by different admixtures. However, making concrete samples costume always time and money. In this paper, different types of hybrid algorithms are applied to develop predictive models for forecasting compressive strength (CS) of concretes containing metakaolin (MK) and fly ash (FA). In this regard, three different algorithms have been used, namely multilayer perceptron (MLP), radial basis function (RBF), and support vector machine (SVR), to predict CS of concretes by considering most influencers input variables. These algorithms integrated with the grey wolf optimization (GWO) algorithm to increase the model's accuracy in predicting (GWMLP, GWRBF, and GWSVR). The proposed MLP models were implemented and evaluated in three different layers, wherein each layer, GWO, fitted the best neuron number of the hidden layer. Correspondingly, the key parameters of the SVR model are identified using the GWO method. Also, the optimization algorithm determines the hidden neurons' number and the spread value to set the RBF structure. The results show that the developed models all provide accurate predictions of the CS of concrete incorporating MK and FA with R2 larger than 0.9972 and 0.9976 in the learning and testing stage, respectively. Regarding GWMLP models, the GWMLP1 model outperforms other GWMLP networks. All in all, GWSVR has the worst performance with the lowest indices, while the highest score belongs to GWRBF.
