  • This paper deals with the aspects of die design for the multistage fine tooth hub gear in the cold forging process. In order to manufacture the cold forged product fur the precision hub gear used as the ARD 370 system of bicycle, it examines the influences of different designs on the metal flow through experiments and FE-simulation. To find the combination of design parameters which minimize the damage value, the low gear length, upper gear length and inner diameter as design parameters are considered. An orthogonal fraction factorial experiment is employed to study the influence of each parameter on the objective function or characteristics. The optimal punch shape of fine tooth hub gear is designed using the results of FE-simulation and the artificial neural network. To verify the optimal punch shape, the experiments of the cold forging of the hub gear are executed.

The Effect of Digitalization and Virtual Leadership on Organizational Innovation During the COVID-19 Pandemic Crisis: A Case Study in Indonesia

  • In the last decade, the effect of digitalization was the most cited issue in economic discourse, especially since technological advances, automation, and artificial intelligence are the key to the future discussions. Unemployment is one of the most important and continuous debates, especially in times of crisis due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style in innovation organizations to deal with the crisis. In this study, a non-probability purposive sampling method was used. A total of 377 respondents were from LinkedIn social media in Indonesia, with the criteria of employees who have worked for at least 6 years. The structural equation model was analyzed with Amos 25.0. The results show that virtual, servant, and transformational leadership influence employee creativity. Moreover, employee creativity strongly influences organizational innovation; therefore, a new model was found to meet the challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, which is leadership. Therefore, these results are useful for managers to overcome challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic crisis to manage employee creativity for a better innovative organization and make science a reference for finding solutions to the global wave of unemployment in the revolution 5.0 era.

Artificial neural fuzzy system and monitoring the process via IoT for optimization synthesis of nano-size polymeric chains

  • Synthesis of acrylate-based dispersion resins involves many parameters including temperature, ingredients concentrations, and rate of adding ingredients. Proper controlling of these parameters results in a uniform nano-size chain of polymer on one side and elimination of hazardous residual monomer on the other side. In this study, we aim to screen the process parameters via Internet of Things (IoT) to ensure that, first, the nano-size polymeric chains are in an acceptable range to acquire high adhesion property and second, the remaining hazardous substance concentration is under the minimum value for safety of public and personnel health. In this regard, a set of experiments is conducted to observe the influences of the process parameters on the size and dispersity of polymer chain and residual monomer concentration. The obtained dataset is further used to train an Adaptive Neural network Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) to achieve a model that predicts these two output parameters based on the input parameters. Finally, the ANFIS will return values to the automation system for further decisions on parameter adjustment or halting the process to preserve the health of the personnel and final product consumers as well.

  • This paper proposes a composite design of fuzzy adaptive control scheme based on TMD RC structural system and the gain of two-dimensional fuzzy control is controlled by parameters. Monitoring and learning in LMI then produces performance indicators with a weighting matrix as a function of cost. It allows to control the trade-off between the two efficiencies by adjusting the appropriate weighting matrix. The two-dimensional Boost control model is equivalent to the LMI-constrained multi-objective optimization problem under dual performance criteria. By using the proposed intelligent control model, the fuzzy nonlinear criterion is satisfied. Therefore, the data connection can be further extended. Evaluation of controller performance the proposed controller is compared with other control techniques. This ensures good performance of the control routines used for position and trajectory control in the presence of model uncertainties and external influences. Quantitative verification of the effectiveness of monitoring and control. The purpose of this article is to ensure access to adequate, safe and affordable housing and basic services. Therefore, it is assumed that this goal will be achieved in the near future through the continuous development of artificial intelligence and control theory.

Navigating the Transformative Landscape of Virtual Education Trends across India

  • Purpose: Education is the part of a fundamental human right across the world. In recent years, the trend of virtual education has increased tremendously. The paper aims to find the impact of adoption, accessibility, interactions, knowledge, and satisfaction on the success of transformation towards virtual education. Research design, data and methodology: Primary data has been gathered through the use of responses from students taking admission in virtual higher education to standardized questionnaires. Of the 250, only 122 were considered complete and have been used in further studies. Convinced random sampling method has been used. The results were evaluated using the Likert Five-Point Scale. For applying these statistical tools software SmartPLS and SPSS 19 have been used. The fitness of the model has been re-checked through an Artificial Neural Network (ANN). Result: Results derived that adoption, accessibility, and interactions have a significant impact on knowledge, knowledge influences satisfaction level and satisfaction have a meaningful impact on the success of transformation towards virtual education. Conclusion: It can be concluded that virtual education has the potential to change the future of the education system and its potential in India. The highest importance is due to satisfaction (100%), adoption (98.7%), knowledge (91.4%), accessibility (62%), and interaction (29.2%).

도시하천에 대한 인위적 간섭 특성 및 하천 관리 방안 - 대전시 갑천유역을 중심으로 - (A Study of Impacts of Human Interference on the Gapcheon River Basin in Daejeon City)

  • 도시개발이 불가피한 상황에서 하천 생태환경을 안정적으로 유지하기 위해서는 인위적 간섭이 하천에 미치는 영향을 자세하게 살펴 볼 필요가 있다. 이 연구는 대전시의 갑천 유역을 대상으로 인위적 간섭이 도시하천에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 하천관리 방안을 찾아보았다. 갑천에 나타나는 인위적 간섭 특징은 첫째, 상류와 중상류 구간은 치수 중심으로 하천을 정비한 뒤 자연 복원되고 있으나 배후지역에 도시개발이 진행되고 있고 하천 정비가 계획되어 있다. 둘째, 중하류 구간은 배후지역이 시가지로 개발되었고 하도가 여가 공간으로 다듬어져 인공 하천으로 굳어 있다. 셋째, 하류 구간은 배후지역에 도시개발과 함께 하도를 정비하여 하천 지형과 생태계가 불안정한 상태이다. 지금까지 기술 공학 중심의 인위적인 하천 관리 때문에 갑천의 하천 지형과 식생은 파괴되었고 생태계 다양성도 잃고 있다. 앞으로 도시하천 관리는 첫째, 사람이 이용하는 공간보다는 하천이 자연 시스템을 유지할 수 있도록 하는데 초점을 맞추어야 한다. 둘째, 도시개발을 할 때 배후지역의 자연환경 특성을 고려하고 하천에 직접적인 영향을 주는 구릉지, 배후습지, 하도의 사력퇴적지와 습지는 보전해야 한다.

인공 및 천연 제올라이트의 급여가 육계의 생산성과 장내 미생물에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Dietary Supplementation of Artificial and Natural Zeolites on Performance and Intestinal Microbes of Broiler Chicks)

  • 본 실험은 석탄재를 이용하여 합성한 인공제올라이트 (AZ)의 사료적 가치를 구명하기 위하여 천연제올라이트(NZ)와 동일한 수준으로 첨가 . 급여하여 육계의 생산성, 장내 미생물 및 혈중 콜레스테롤 등에 미치는 영향을 5주간 고찰하였다. 전기 3주 동안 사료내 조단백질은 21.5%, ME 3,100 kal/kg으로 하였고, 후기에는 조단백질 19%, ME 3,100kcal /kg 수준으로 급여하였다. 처리구는 대조구(제올라이트 0%), AZ와NZ를 각각 1.5,3.0% 씩 육계용 사료에 배합하였으며, 처리구당 4반복, 반복당 16수로 전체 320수를 공시하였다. 조사항목으로 증체량, 사료섭취량, 사료요구율은 주간별로 측정하였다. 장내 미생물, 혈중 콜레스테롤 및 뉴켓슬병 백신에 대한 항체가는 실험종료시에 측정하였다. 증체량은 NZ 처리구에서 증가하는 경향을 보였으나 대조구와 통계적인 차이가 없었고, AZ 3.0%처리구는 대조구에 비하여 현저하게 감소하였다(P<0.05). 사료섭취 량은 처리구간에 차이가 없었으며 사료요구율은 AZ 3.0% 처리구에 비하여 NZ 3.0%가 현저하게 개선되었다(P<0.05).제올라이트가 육계의 장내 미생물에 미치는 영향은 대조구와 차이가 없었으며 혈중 총콜레스테롤은 NZ 처리구에서 현저하게 감소되었고 뉴켓슬병백신에 대한 항체가는 제올라이트 처리구가 현저하게 증가하였다(P<0.05). 본 실험의 결과, AZ 1.5% 급여수준은 육계의 생산성에서 대조구와 차이가 없었으므로 육계 사료에 이용될 수 있는 수준으로 사료된다.

엔터테이먼트 공간에 나타나는 유희적 표현에 관한 연구 - 클럽 공간을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Entertaining Expressions in the Spaced for Entertainment - With a Focus on the Club Environment -)

  • In the 21st century, people began to pay more attention on the culture, and the chances for them to participate in the cultural lives also increased. The spaces for entertainments can also be deemed as the center of the cultural contents. The entertainment is, in consideration of its definition by the literal meaning and the origin of the word itself, 'an act that entertains, or any artificial creation that is designed to give entertainment with a view to relieve the subjects from the burdens they have as they live.'Of the modem entertainment spaces, the one with the most profound visual manifestation of the entertainment element is the club. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence from the entertaining element manifested in the club spaces. Only until a few years back, the club spaces were deemed with negative impressions that comes with the more negative side of the entertaining world. But, recently such negative impressions are lift off considerably, and the club spaces are regarded with positive impressions as to be the kind of place where the young people can enjoy performances and other kind of culture in healthy atmosphere. In Chapter 2, we will examine the entertainment and the nature of the pleasure it gives, as well as the correlation between the entertaining environments and the pleasure they give. In chapter 3, the entertaining elements within such contexts are classified into the experience, form, color, objects, and the lightings and examine the characteristics of each of them. Also, the influences of these elements to the entertaining environment will be reviewed. In the case study in chapter 4, 9 overseas and domestic club spaces that were introduced in 'Interior World' magazines, that is, in the issues that are focused on 'Entertainment,'such as Issue 59, 68, and 79. As a result of the analysis, the influences of the entertaining, or pleasing, elements were discovered. The particular expression characteristics of the pleasing designs in the club spaces are, namely, the form elements, material elements, color elements, objects elements, and the lighting elements. As the society changes and the cultural level goes up, the club spaces are required to adopt more changes. Therefore, the pleasing elements of the space should receive further emphasis. These elements will act as a trend in the space and make the people appreciate the space more refreshing.

목재 데크재의 초음파 비파괴시험에 의한 인위적인 결함의 영향평가 (Evaluation of Influences of Artificial Defect of Wood Deck Using Non-destructive Ultrasonic Testing)

  • 목재 데크재에 인위적인 결함인 구멍을 부여하고 이들의 성능평가를 위해 초음파 비파괴 시험법을 적용하였다. 구멍의 크기와 개수를 달리하여 각각에 대한 초음파 전달속도를 측정하고 탄성계수를 산정하여 그 영향을 비교분석하였다. 시험결과 구멍의 크기가 커짐에 따라 초음파 전달속도와 탄성계수는 감소하였으며 이들 상호간에는 직선상관관계를 보였다. 구멍의 크기가 증가하면 초음파의 전달 길이는 증가하며 이에 따라 초음파속도는 감소하였지만 구멍의 크기가 15 mm 이하로 작은 경우에는 구멍이 없는 부재에 비해 그 차이가 작게 나타났다. 구멍의 개수가 많아짐에 따라 초음파 전달속도와 탄성계수는 감소하였으며 이들 상호간에는 높은 직선상관관계를 보였다. 구멍의 개수가 3개인 경우 초음파속도는 약 3.5% 정도 감소한데 비하여 탄성계수는 27% 정도로 현저히 감소하여 더 큰 감소경향을 나타내었다. 이들의 결과로부터 구멍의 크기와 개수는 초음파 전달속도와 탄성계수에 영향을 미치며 구멍의 크기가 크고 개수가 많아질수록 그 영향은 더욱 커질 것으로 여겨진다. 또한 작은 결함의 탐지를 위해서는 초음파 전달속도에만 의지할 것이 아니라 여러 초음파 변수를 고려하여 적용하는 방법을 고려하여야 할 것으로 생각된다.

Blood-neural Barrier: Intercellular Communication at Glio-Vascular Interface

  • The blood-neural barrier (BNB), including blood-brain barrier (BBB) and blood-retinal barrier (BRB), is an endothelial barrier constructed by an extensive network of endothelial cells, astrocytes and neurons to form functional 'neurovascular units', which has an important role in maintaining a precisely regulated microenvironment for reliable neuronal activity. Although failure of the BNB may be a precipitating event or a consequence, the breakdown of BNB is closely related with the development and progression of CNS diseases. Therefore, BNB is most essential in the regulation of microenvironment of the CNS. The BNB is a selective diffusion barrier characterized by tight junctions between endothelial cells, lack of fenestrations, and specific BNB transporters. The BNB have been shown to be astrocyte dependent, for it is formed by the CNS capillary endothelial cells, surrounded by astrocytic end-foot processes. Given the anatomical associations with endothelial cells, it could be supposed that astrocytes play a role in the development, maintenance, and breakdown of the BNB. Therefore, astrocytes-endothelial cells interaction influences the BNB in both physiological and pathological conditions. If we better understand mutual interactions between astrocytes and endothelial cells, in the near future, we could provide a critical solution to the BNB problems and create new opportunities for future success of treating CNS diseases. Here, we focused astrocyte-endothelial cell interaction in the formation and function of the BNB.
