생태복원용 소재로서 현지자원의 이용가능성 파악을 위한 발아실험 연구 (Seed Germination Study to Determine the Feasibility of Local Resources as Materials for Ecological Restoration)

  • The study was conducted to develop ecological restoration method of damaged area in DMZ vicinities. As the material for the ecological restoration, forest soil and trees waste have been used. Forest soils were collected for experiments in Yanggu, Gangwon Province. Effect of ecological restoration was analyzed through germination experiment. Germination experiment was performed using 12 kinds of woody and herbaceous seeds. Woody and herbaceous seed germination in test pot was relatively evenly. Mixed material consisting of forest soil and trees waste seemed a possibility as the material for the restoration. The effects on seed germination were higher in the case of mixing more than 70% by volume ratio of local resources. Total number germinated individuals were different depending on the mixing ratio of soil sampling depth. Individual plants showed different trends depending on the experimental combination. Results of the woody seed germination were affected only in the soil sampling depth. Seed germination of herbaceous received a combined effect on soil sampling depth and mixing ratio.

  • 이 논문은 100MHz 수준의 고속 신호 샘플링을 위해 글리치 최소화 기법을 적용한 8비트 100MHz CMOS D/A 변환기 (Digital to Analog Converter : DAC) 회로를 제안한다. 제안하는 DAC는 $0.35{\mu}m$ Hynix CMOS 공정을 사용하여 설계 및 레이아웃을 하였으며, 응용되는 시스템의 속도, 해상도 및 면적 등의 사양을 고려하여 전류 모드 구조로 적용되었다. D/A 변환기의 선형 특성은 설계한 Spec. 과 유사하였으며, $\pm$0.09LSB 정도의 DNL과 INL 오차가 측정되었다. 제작된 칩 테스트 결과에 대한 오동작의 원인을 분석하였으며, 이를 통하여 칩 테스트를 위한 고려사항 등을 제안하였다.

  • 성능위주의 화재감지설비 설계시 공조설비 또는 실내 온도조절장치에 의한 실내기류 순환으로 연기기류가 정상해석에 의한 연기분포, 연기농도가 형성되지 못하여 화재감지지연이 예상되는 것을 실험 및 분석을 통하여 성능위주의 예방설비 구현을 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 실험연구는 공조설비가 가동하고 있는 통신기계실의 화재시 화재감지기의 작동을 예측하고자 천장부의 연기농도분포를 측정·분석하는 실험을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 기류순환에 의해 기존 Passive Type의 화재감지장치는 감지불가 또는 감지지연이 예상되었으며, 조기화재감지를 위하여 방호공간의 공기를 강제로 흡입·분석하여 화재를 감지하는 Active Type의 Air Sampling Smoke Detection system의 적용이 필요한 것으로 나타났다.

실시간 시스템에서 성능 향상 기법 (Enhanced Technique for Performance in Real Time Systems)

  • The real time scheduling is a key research area in high performance computing and has been a source of challenging problems. A periodic task is an infinite sequence of task instance where each job of a task comes in a regular period. The RMS (Rate Monotonic Scheduling) algorithm has the advantage of a strong theoretical foundation and holds out the promise of reducing the need for exhaustive testing of the scheduling. Many real-time systems built in the past based their scheduling on the Cyclic Executive Model because it produces predictable schedules which facilitate exhaustive testing. In this work we propose hybrid scheduling method which combines features of both of these scheduling algorithms. The original rate monotonic scheduling algorithm didn't consider the uniform sampling tasks in the real time systems. We have enumerated some issues when the RMS is applied to our hybrid scheduling method. We found the scheduling bound for the hard real-time systems which include the uniform sampling tasks. The suggested hybrid scheduling algorithm turns out to have some advantages from the point of view of the real time system designer, and is particularly useful in the context of large critical systems. Our algorithm can be useful for real time system designer who must guarantee the hard real time tasks.

회귀분석을 이용한 해조류 생물량 측정을 위한 방법론 (Estimation for Seaweed Biomass Using Regression: A Methodological Approach)

  • To estimate seaweed biomass or standing crop, a nondestructive sampling can be beneficial because of not much destroying living plants and saving time in field works. We suggest a methodological procedure to estimate seaweed biomass per unit area in marine benthic habitats by using species-specific regression equations. Percent cover data are required from the field samplings for most species to convert them to weight data. However, for tall macroalgae such as kelps we need density data and their size (e.g., size class for subtidal kelps) of individuals. We propose that the field sampling should be done with 5 replicates of 50 cm x 50 cm quadrat at three zones of intertidals (upper, middle, lower) and three depth points (1, 5, 10 m) in subtidals. To obtain a reliable regression equation for a species, a substantial number of replicate is necessary from destructive samplings. The regression equation of a species can be further specified by different locality and different season, especially for the species with variable morphology temporally and spatially. Example estimation carried out in Onpyung, Jeju Island, Korea is provided to compare estimated values with real weight data.

Flow Distribution and Pressure Loss in Subchannels of a Wire-Wrapped 37-pin Rod Bundle for a Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactor

  • A hexagonally arrayed 37-pin wire-wrapped rod bundle has been chosen to provide the experimental data of the pressure loss and flow rate in subchannels for validating subchannel analysis codes for the sodium-cooled fast reactor core thermal/hydraulic design. The iso-kinetic sampling method has been adopted to measure the flow rate at subchannels, and newly designed sampling probes which preserve the flow area of subchannels have been devised. Experimental tests have been performed at 20-115% of the nominal flow rate and $60^{\circ}C$ (equivalent to Re ~ 37,100) at the inlet of the test rig. The pressure loss data in three measured subchannels were almost identical regardless of the subchannel locations. The flow rate at each type of subchannel was identified and the flow split factors were evaluated from the measured data. The predicted correlations and the computational fluid dynamics results agreed reasonably with the experimental data.

  • In order to solve the contradiction between requirements of high sampling rate for acquiring accurate energy information of pulses and large amount of data to be processed timely, the method with an algorithm to correct errors caused by reducing the sampling rate is normally used in front-end read-out system, which is conductive to extract accurate energy information from digitized waveform of pulse. The functions and effects of algorithms, which mainly include polynomial fitting with different fitting times, double exponential function fitting under different sampling modes, and integral area algorithm, are analyzed and evaluated, and some meaningful results is presented in this paper. The algorithm described in the paper has been used preliminarily in a prototype system of Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for heavy-ion cancer therapy facility.

  • This research aims to discuss the relationship between the courage, anticipation, and satisfaction comprehensively. This study will be complemented by gratitude as a variable that moderates the relationship between courage and anticipation, as well as the relationship between the courage and satisfaction. The large area as survey location is the reason for sampling conducted in 2 stages: (1) taking 15 districts through judgement sampling, (2) allocated sub-districts sample through proportional random sampling. The sample used in this study were 155 sub-districts in East Java. Respondents in each sub-district consisted of 1 farmer and 1 field extension officer to get a total of 310 respondents. The analysis method used to test the hypothesis was Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings of this research are: (1) The courage of field extension officers' have a positive but non-significant direct effect on farmers' anticipation, however, the effect significantly strengthen with religiosity as moderation; (2) The courage of field extension officers' and farmers' anticipation have a significant and positive effect on satisfaction. This study will be complemented by gratitude as a variable that moderates the relationship between the courage and anticipation, as well as the relationship between courage and satisfaction.

The Effect of Sharia Destination Image on Developing Post-Visit Behavior: A Case Study in Indonesia

  • This study aims to develop new constructs and indicators for sharia destination image, and then examine its effects on perceived value, tourist satisfaction, and post-visit behaviour. Furthermore, it analyses the mediating role of perceived value and tourist satisfaction on relationship between sharia destination image and post-visit behaviour. The population were domestic and Malaysian Muslim tourists who visited Aceh during the study period. The sampling was carried out in two stages. The first stage involved selecting most visited districts. The second stage involved randomly selecting tourists who visit during the study period in the districts. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire with a Likert scale. Also, a total of 270 questionnaires were distributed to domestic and Malaysian tourists in Aceh. Cluster sampling was used to determine the sample area, and purposive sampling technique was used to determine the study sample. Furthermore, the data analysis technique is Structural Equation Modelling. The results showed that the sharia destination image has a significant effect on perceived value. Meanwhile, the perceived value significantly influenced tourist satisfaction and post-visit behaviour. In addition, the perceived value and tourist satisfaction can mediate the effects of sharia destination image, which has no direct effect on post-visit behaviour.

Efficient Multi-scalable Network for Single Image Super Resolution

  • In computer vision, single-image super resolution has been an area of research for a significant period. Traditional techniques involve interpolation-based methods such as Nearest-neighbor, Bilinear, and Bicubic for image restoration. Although implementations of convolutional neural networks have provided outstanding results in recent years, efficiency and single model multi-scalability have been its challenges. Furthermore, previous works haven't placed enough emphasis on real-number scalability. Interpolation-based techniques, however, have no limit in terms of scalability as they are able to upscale images to any desired size. In this paper, we propose a convolutional neural network possessing the advantages of the interpolation-based techniques, which is also efficient, deeming it suitable in practical implementations. It consists of convolutional layers applied on the low-resolution space, post-up-sampling along the end hidden layers, and additional layers on high-resolution space. Up-sampling is applied on a multiple channeled feature map via bicubic interpolation using a single model. Experiments on architectural structure, layer reduction, and real-number scale training are executed with results proving efficient amongst multi-scale learning (including scale multi-path-learning) based models.
