Basic Research on BIM-Based Quantity Take-off Guidelines

  • Various types of building information should be linked to 3D model objects for their effective use by stakeholders. Because Building Information Modeling (BIM) based on 3D is used by different stakeholders, the created BIM need standard guidelines for each purpose, as, for example, for quantity take-off. Thus, this study was conducted to propose guidelines for BIM modeling for quantity take-off in the framework, especially, in the concrete and form. The proposed guidelines adopted each element of the BIM model based on an analysis of the problem of the general BIM model. Moreover, the usability and accuracy of the reinforced structure modeling guidelines were verified by comparing the quantity of the commercial estimation software and the modeling quantity using the proposed modeling guidelines.

  • Project management information systems (PMIS) have been implemented to support cooperation among the participants of construction projects. Unlike other information systems used by members from an organization with similar culture and business environment, the PMIS are members from one-off fragmented project organization with diverse professional background. Successful operation is significantly affected by the tendencies of client's side and individual awareness of participants. In this regard, it is imperative to evaluate the success of the system based on the individual characteristics of PMIS users. Thus, this study proposes a method for determining the system success by analyzing the extent of the effects of system factors such as System Quality, Information Quality, and Service Quality and individual factors such as a user's IT application ability, Extrinsic Motivation to achieve User Satisfaction, and loyalty. Accordingly, a structural equation model (SEM), an effective tool to examine of the comprehensive structure of a causal relationship, is applied for analysis because the internal awareness of individuals is established as a variable.

  • The purpose of this research is to develop the technology to meet the requirements of the design content, and to build a 'Requirement Information Management Model' for the design project. The model that should be used in the early design stage will undergo the following process: First, basic requirements would be defined by extracting the design content in the form of a reusable library of space units. At the next stage, requirement information should be modified after considering unique characteristics for the project and conflict problems between function and performance.

  • 최근 주택 가격이 전국적으로 상승하였고 정부는 실수요자 보호를 위해 금융, 세금 등 다양한 규제를 지역에 따라 시행하였다. 정책 시행 이후 전국적인 주택 가격 평균은 안정되었으나 지역 별로 살펴보면 양극화 현상이 발생하였다. 또한 규제로 인해 오히려 실수요자가 피해를 볼 우려에 대한 논의도 지속되고 있다. 따라서 정책 계획 및 분석에 있어 시장 변수 간의 상관관계 뿐 아니라 미시적으로 시장 참여자들에게 어떻게 정책의 효과가 파급되는 지 분석할 필요성이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 변수 간 인과관계로 구성되는 시장 구조 분석을 위한 시스템 다이내믹스와 시장 참여자들의 의사 결정 과정 모델링을 위한 행위자 기반 모델을 통합하여 시뮬레이션 모델을 구축하였다. 개발한 모델에 금융 규제와 세금 규제를 적용하여 주택 가격의 변화와 이에 시장 참여자들이 어떻게 행동하는 지에 대한 분석을 통해 정책의 실효성을 평가하였다. 본 연구를 통해 가격 안정화라는 같은 목적을 가진 두 규제에 대해 시장 참여자들이 다른 의사결정을 함에 따라 시장을 지배하는 피드백의 차이를 확인했다. 이에 따라 정책 대상 지역 뿐 아니라 그 이외의 지역에 대해서도 다른 파급효과가 나타났다.

Comparison of Measured and Predicted Daylight Illuminances in Two Underground Spaces

  • Daylight simulation methods play an important role for the prediction of daylight illuminances in underground spaces. This daylighting project is designed to compare daylight prediction methods for the application of large underground spaces. In this study, actual measurements were conducted under overcast and clear sky conditions. Also, computer simulations by Radiance, Superlite IEA 2.0 program and scale model testings were conducted to be compared with measured data. Simulation results show the data by Radiance, Superlite IEA 2.0 and the scale model are similar to the measured data in two underground spaces in Seoul. Overall results show that Radiance and superlite IEA 2.0 proved to be useful to predict daylight illuminances even in big underground spaces.

PBL을 기반으로 한 건축구조공학 교육시스템의 개발 (A Study on Development of Education System based on PBL for Architectural Structure Engineering)

  • 이 논문에서는 건축구조공학의 창의성 교육을 활성화하기 위한 대안으로 문제기반학습(PBL : Problem-Based Learning) 교육시스템을 개발하였다. 이러한 시스템의 개발에서는 먼저 건축구조공학 교육의 PBL에 대한 고찰을 통하여 과제도출 및 교육 프로세스를 제시하였다. 개발된 교육시스템은 크게 구조 모형의 하드웨어 시스템과 교육 시스템상에서 활용 가능한 코스웨어로 구성되어 있다.

  • This paper presents how to establish the decision support model for the cooperative design in order to improve design coordination and optimize the building system. With this view, the paper presents the method that analyzes decision making participants of each building system on drawings. It also presents the combination evaluation method from the viewpoint of performance, cost and constructability to improve the decision making process in cooperative design.

Human Pose-based Labor Productivity Measurement Model

  • Traditionally, the construction industry has shown low labor productivity and productivity growth. To improve labor productivity, it must first be accurately measured. The existing method uses work-sampling techniques through observation of workers' activities at certain time intervals on site. However, a disadvantage of this method is that the results may differ depending on the observer's judgment and may be inaccurate in the case of a large number of missed scenarios. Therefore, this study proposes a model to automate labor productivity measurement by monitoring workers' actions using a deep learning-based pose estimation method. The results are expected to contribute to productivity improvement on construction sites.

A comparison of three multi-objective evolutionary algorithms for optimal building design

  • Recently, Multi-Objective Optimization of design elements is an important issue in building design. Design variables that considering the specificities of the different environments should use the appropriate algorithm on optimization process. The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the optimal solution using three evolutionary algorithms and energy modeling simulation. This paper consists of three steps: i)Developing three evolutionary algorithm model for optimization of design elements ; ii) Conducting Multi-Objective Optimization based on the developed model ; iii) Conducting comparative analysis of the optimal solution from each of the algorithms. Including Non-dominated Sorted Genetic Algorithm (NSGA-II), Multi-Objective Particle Swarm Optimization (MOPSO) and Random Search were used for optimization. Each algorithm showed similar range of result data. However, the execution speed of the optimization using the algorithm was shown a difference. NSGA-II showed the fastest execution speed. Moreover, the most optimal solution distribution is derived from NSGA-II.

  • 본 논문은 지식경제시대의 생산소비자개념으로 프로슈머관점에서 본 단독주택의 건축비즈니스모델 캔버스 적용에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해서 첫째, 최신 주택시장의 실태를 조사하여 단독주택건축의 특성을 공동주택과 비교하였고, 둘째, 고객에서 생산소비자인 프로슈머의 관점으로 전환하여 단독주택 건축비즈니스 문제점을 도출한 후 셋째, 기존 단독주택건축 비즈니스프로세스의 문제점을 개선하는 방안으로 경영디자인기반의 건축 비즈니스모델 캔버스를 통한 건축비즈니스모델의 새로운 방안을 도출하였다.
