Let A and B be Banach algebras with unit. Here we prove that an approximate algebra homomorphism f : A ${\rightarrow}$ B, in the sense of Rassias, is an algebra homomorphism.

We prove the Hyers-Ulam stability of partitioned functional equations in Banach modules over a unital $C^*$-algebra. It is applied to show the stability of algebra homomorphisms in Banach algebras associated with partitioned functional equations in Banach algebras.

Let $\cal{A}$ be a unital Banach algebra. If f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{A}$ is an approximately quadratic derivation in the sense of Hyers-Ulam-J.M. Rassias, then f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{A}$ is anexactly quadratic derivation. On the other hands, let $\cal{A}$ and $\cal{B}$ be Banach algebras.Any approximately generalized homomorphism f : $\cal{A}{\rightarrow}\cal{B}$ corresponding to Cauchy, Jensen functional equation can be estimated by a generalized homomorphism.

Bae and W. Park [3] proved the Hyers-Ulam stability of bi-homomorphisms and bi-derivations in $C^*$-ternary algebras. It is easy to show that the definitions of bi-homomorphisms and bi-derivations, given in [3], are meaningless. So we correct the definitions of bi-homomorphisms and bi-derivations. Under the conditions in the main theorems, we can show that the related mappings must be zero. In this paper, we correct the statements and the proofs of the results, and prove the corrected theorems.
