  • To prevent corruption, waste, and abuse in national governance, audit agencies are established and granted significant authority and responsibilities, including ensuring their independence. However, questions have been raised about who oversees these agencies and addresses issues or misconduct that may arise within them. In the United States, to address this oversight concern, the Inspector General Act was enacted, creating an audit community called the Inspector General Community. This community comprises various audit agencies and promotes compliance with standards and investigates potential wrongdoing by audit personnel. It fosters a culture of independence and collaboration among diverse stakeholders, such as Congress, the President, the Government Accountability Office, and agency leadership. In light of this successful approach in the United States, this research seeks to study and apply similar oversight mechanisms to audit agencies in South Korea. There is a need to develop the relationship between oversight bodies and parliament in terms of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of government operations. Accordingly, this paper studies this American case and presents efficient policy measures for the supervisory system to be applied to Korea's audit organizations. It aims to identify policy insights for effective supervision, ensuring independence, and fostering a collaborative culture within our audit institutions. Therefore, domestic interest and research on this matter are essential to enhance our audit mechanisms and achieve efficient governance.

  • In 2020, the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) struck the world. This study examined Korean public libraries' responses during the COVID-19 pandemic to determine their working practices, service patterns, applied strategies, and roles played. The study administered an online survey to 317 public librarians in South Korea. The results indicated that librarians reported significant transitions regarding the services provided. However, only 15.5% of the survey respondents reported that they had experienced trainings/workshops for library staff members. Survey participants also identified challenges such as the limitations of non-face-to-face services, complaints from library patrons, and overwork due to epidemic prevention. When it comes to the expected roles of public libraries in upcoming disasters, the study contends that information providers, who guide the public through various information resources, would play the most critical role. An analysis of a few open-ended questions' answers proliferated the highlighted findings. Based on the key findings, this paper also discussed implications for information professionals and future research.

  • Objective : This study aims to assess the potential of utilizing large language models in pattern identification education by developing a simulated patient with fatigue and dual deficiency of the heart-spleen pattern. Methods : A simulated patient dataset was constructed using the clinical practice examination module provided by the National Institute for Korean Medicine Development. The dataset was divided into patient characteristics, sample questions, and responses, and utilized to design the system, assistant, and user prompts, respectively. A web-based interface was developed using the Django framework and WebSocket. Results : We developed a simulated fatigue patient representing dual deficiency of the heart-spleen pattern through prompt engineering. To make practical tools, we further implemented web-based interfaces for the examinee's and evaluator's roles. The interface for examinees allows one to examine the simulated patient and provides access to a personalized number for future access. In addition, the interface for evaluators included a page that provided an overview of each examinees' chat history and evaluation criteria in real-time. Conclusion : This study is the first development of an educational tool integrated with a large language model for pattern identification education, which is expected to be widely applied to Korean medicine education.

  • 1. Objectives and Methods The original insect of $Q\'{\i}C\'{a}o$ is described as the larvae of Holotrichia diomphalia Bates (Scarabaeidae) in oriental medicine literatures. Traditionally $Q\'{\i}C\'{a}o$ inhabit on rotting wood, compost, and organic debris of soil or thatched roofs. They have the very important distinguishing mark that wriggle along on their back through rotting wood, compost etc. and they never do inflict the living crops. but, Holotrichia diomphalia Bates as the $Q\'{\i}C\'{a}o$ is not right because of many questions, such as Holotrichia are the harmful insects eat into farm products, and those don't match well with korean farmers' moods if their cultivated lands are turned over for collecting $Q\'{\i}C\'{a}o$ larvae, and especially they don't go on using their back. 2. Results and Conclusions Accordingly, in the conclusion of this subject it is reported that the original insect of $Q\'{\i}C\'{a}o$ is the larvae of Korean Cetoniidae(Coleoptera; Scarabaeoidea) insects including Genus Protaetia Burmeister(Protaetia orientalis submarmorea Burmeister, P.brevitarsis seulensis Kolbe, etc.) and the larvae of Korean Cetoniinae insects. Also, those were the original larvae of $Q\'{\i}C\'{a}o$ that were applied to not only 'DongEuiBoGam' but also 'Dongyi Suse Bowon prescriptions'. Those feed on rotting wood, compost, and organic debris of soil or thatched roofs.

It showed that computer system was not applied for treating the original nursing work such as nursing record (13%), duty scheduling(6.0%) , nursing process(4.6%) , Q.I(1.3%), nursing research(1.3%), education(1.3%), 3. As for the benefit when computer system is applied for, the most respondence was promptness of work and convenience(90.6%) , exactness of work (82.8%), offering information exactily and efficiently(36.3%), offering good quality of nursing (6.0%) in order. 4. The degree of contentment on computerizing in nursing practice showed average 3.24%. The best marking item is that they are eager to participate in the computer education. Next, the automatic output of label and giving the number automatically is to prevent loss and mentioned items of patient registration from being changed(3.95) and to prevent mistakes possibly happening because of doctor's difficult order(3.85). 5. The problems which may happen to in nurses' utilization of computerization for the nursing practice showed average 3.18. The most problem is that the practice may stop because of the problem of computer itself(3.67), and the next, the indication of act can be imperfect(3.66) , manual training may overlap because of incomplete computerization (3.60), practical education for the computerizing is lack(3.41), and the computer literate nurses are lack(3.40) . 6. Study subject's contentment by age was significant difference(F=3.10,P=0.0119). Study subject's contentment by job posision was significant difference(F=6.001P=0.0034) I will propose the following according to the above results. The domain of original nursing practice is urgernt. Manual and indication of act should be made before long in computer obstacle. Nursing department should support the nurses so that they could receive the education needed for the nurses themselves.
