직류 배전망 연계를 위한 3상 13.2kV급 반도체 변압기 시스템에 대한 연구 (A Study on the 3-phase 13.2 kV Solid State Transformer for the DC Distribution)

  • A solid state transformer (SST) that can interface an MVAC of three-phase 13.2 kV and a 1.5 kV DC distribution. SST consists of an AC/DC converter and a DC/DC converter with a high-frequency isolation transformer (HFIT). The AC/DC converter consists of cascaded NPC full-bridge to cope with the MVAC. The DC/DC converter applies a quad active bridge (QAB) topology to reduce the number of the HFIT. Topology analysis and controller design for this specific structure are discussed. In addition, the insulation of HFIT used in DC/DC converters is considered. The discussion is validated using a 300 kVA three-phase SST prototype.

Glass beads 제조에 관하여 (The Preparation of Glass Beads)

  • 이형제와 유리분말의 혼합물을 회전시킬 수 있는 원형전기로 장치(장치 1), 유리분말을 자유낙하 시킬 수 있는 관형 전기로 장치 (장치 2) 및 유리분말을 propane gas의 화염과 함께 분사시킬수 있는 관형장치 (장치 3)를 사용하여 glass beads를 제조하였다. 사용한 기재는 한국산 sodium silicates glass 1,2, boro silicates glass 및 lead silicates glass 이며 cullet의 크기는 60mesh-300mesh이다. P.G.를 기재로 하여 이들 장치에 의하여 glass beads를 제조할 경우, 장치 1의 최적온도는 880$^{\circ}C$이고 장치 2의 최적온도는 980$^{\circ}C$이며 장치 3의 최적온도는 1100$^{\circ}C$이었다. 그렇지만 처리시간과 응착률 등으로 보아 장치 3의 방법이 가장 효율적이었다.

  • To study the function and structure of Golgi apparatus in the spermiogenesis of long-fingered bat (Miniopterus schreibersi fuliginosus), the testis obtained from adult bat was treated with the prolonged osmification or fixed with ferrocyanide reduced osmium. golgi apparatus was oval shape in early Golgi phase, and was composed of cortex and medullar enclosing acrosome in mid Golgi phase. The vesicles of crescent shape Golgi apparatus were closed or fused with small or large vesicles at the periphery of acrosome. Golgi apparatus moved behing the acrosome face in cap phase, but the Golgi apparatus was still active. According to this, Golgi apparatus appears to be involved in the formation of acrosome and sperm tail. Transfer of materials from Golgi to acrosme seems to be carried out not only by fusion of large vesicles with acrosomal vesicles but also by detachment of coated vesicle from various cisternae of Golgi fusing with acrosomal vesicle.

Development of a tide-simulating apparatus for macroalgae

  • A tide-simulating apparatus was developed for culturing marine macroalgae. The objective of this study was to introduce a novel tide-simulating apparatus that can simulate a diurnal or semi-diurnal tidal cycle in the laboratory. In this apparatus, the seaweeds are move up and down and the water level remains the same during the simulated tidal cycle. The apparatus consists of 18 cylindrical culture tanks (3 blocks $\times$ 6 culture tanks) with 12 cm diameter and 24.5 cm long containing up to 2.5 L of seawater. There is a horizontal plate which covered all 18 culture tanks, and it is raised and lowered by a programmable motor that can regulate exposure time. In one application, seaweeds are attached to braided twine hung on Plexiglas air-tubing. The air-tubing is attached to a lid that is set on a horizontal plate. This apparatus is made of colorless Plexiglas to maximize light transmittance. This apparatus is easily disassembled and transportable to any indoor laboratory, wet laboratory, greenhouse, etc. This apparatus also offers considerable flexibility in terms of design. The size of culture tank can be redesigned by either increasing the height of cylinder or/and using a different diameter of cylindrical Plexiglas, therefore, larger/taller thalli can be cultivated. Growth rates of three eulittoral Porphyra species from different tidal elevations have been compared using this device.

  • The structures of airplane consist of sheet metal part, heavy machined part, and so on, which generate enormous amounts of cutting chip when these parts are machined. The cutting chip detoriorates the part quality and production efficiency. Therefore, cutting chip collecting apparatus is necessary for better quality and efficiency. In this study, blowing type cutting chip collecting apparatus was newly proposed and the concept design of the apparatus was examined through numerical analysis. Computations using the mass-averaged implicit 2D Navier-Stokes equations are applied to predict the nozzle flow field. The standard k-e turbulent model are employed to close the governing equations. Consequently, this study shows that the suggested blowing type cutting chip collecting apparatus can be alternative to existing expensive chip collecting apparatus.

  • These days, the aerospace industry uses larger machining parts and assembly parts than those in the past. The assembly machines also show the same trend. This study is concerned with the alignment measuring apparatus for the B-axis of a separated multi-axis machine. The alignment measuring apparatus is widely installed for assembly machines in the aircraft assembly process. The alignment measuring apparatus consists of a swivel part and a measuring part. This is a new conceptual idea under patent. All elements of the alignment measuring apparatus are analyzed with the FEM. The analyzed result shows that the alignment measuring apparatus is high in accuracy with stability and steady deformation.

가솔린 기관용 초음파 미립화장치의 타당성에 관한 연구 (I) - 연료 미립화를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Propriety of Ultrasonic Atomization Apparatus for the Gasoline Engine (l) - In the Case of the Atomization of Fual -)

  • It is an experimental study to improve the characteristics of combustion and exhaust emission gas in the gasoline engine. These characteristics are influenced by the fuel droplet size. To improve these characteristics, we make the ultrasonic atomization apparatus, and compare with the commercial carburetor. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Maximum atomization quantity is obtained by the vibrator of resonancy frequency 1.65MHz in the ultrasonic atomization apparatus. 2. With ultrasonic atomization apparatus, more than 99% of atomization rate can be obtained regardless of intake air temperature, velocity, and air-fuel ratio. 3. Atomization rate of the commercial carburetor increases with the air-fuel ratio and intake air temperature. 4. Difference of atomization rate between the ultrasonic atomization apparatus and the commercial carburetor increases with decreasing air-fuel ratio. 5. Droplet size is about 1-5.mu.m at the ultrasonic atomization apparatus, and 80-150.mu.m at the commercial carburetor, which indicates the ultrasonic atomization apparatus is excellent in atomization.

  • Each electrical apparatus radiates various infrared as the condition of surface and load current. Because heat distribution of the apparatus changes as the condition, it is able to analyze the condition of the apparatus by using the distribution. However, methods having been used to measure the heat distribution cannot compare normal condition with abnormal, and the apparatus has diagnosed by intuition. This paper deal with a program that is able to analyze changed temperature distribution. The program is to analyze temperatures on pixels in selected region of interest or position and is able momently and logically to analyze condition of the apparatus. The results are able to apply to a on-line monitoring system.

  • 본 연구에서는 강관 파일 자동청소장치에 의 로프 풀림장치를 추가하여 연속적인 청소작업을 구현하는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 특히 본연구에서 제안된 로프 풀림 장치는 강관 파일 자동 청소장치가 청소를 하고 있는 동안 흔들림을 최소화 하도록 모터의 회전속도에 비례하여 자중에 의해 하강하도록 설계되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 이미 제작되어 실험을 거친 강관 파일 자동 청소장치의 부가기능을 추가하므로써 성능개선을 위한 개념설계 및 제작에 주안점을 두기로 한다.

  • A new stress, load and displacement controlled direct shear apparatus has recently been developed at the Hyundai Institute of Construction Technology This direct shear apparatus is capable of testing of rock joint under constant normal stiffness, constant normal stress or constant normal load boundary conditions. This paper describes this direct shear apparatus and illustrates results of shear tests at constant normal stress condition, constant normal load condition and constant normal stiffness condition with dental stones which have a same joint roughness and unconfined compressive strength.
