  • There have been a lot of researches on providing privacy in MANET (Mobile Ad hoc NETwork) using trapdoor, onion, and anonymous authentication. Privacy protection in MANET can be divided into satisfying ID privacy, location privacy, route privacy, and unlinkability between sessions. Most of the previous works, however, were unsatisfactory with respect to location privacy or route privacy. Moreover, in previous schemes, cryptographic operation cost needed to meet the privacy requirements was relatively high. In this paper, we propose a new efficient anonymous routing protocol that satisfies all the privacy requirements and reduces operation costs. The proposed scheme does not use onion or anonymous authentication techniques in providing privacy. We also provide a more accurate analysis of our scheme's efficiency by considering all the nodes involved in the route establishment.

  • According to augmentation about interesting and demanding of privacy over the rest few years, researches that provide anonymity have been conducted in a number of applications. The ad hoc routing with providing anonymity protects privacy of nodes and also restricts collecting network information to malicious one. Until recently, quite a number of anonymous routing protocols have been proposed, many of them, however, do not make allowance for authentication. Thus, they should be able to have vulnerabilities which are not only modifying packet data illegally but also DoS(denial of service) attack. In this paper, we propose routing protocol with providing both anonymity and authentication in the mobile ad hoc network such as MANET, VANET, and more. This scheme supports all of the anonymity properties which should be provided in Ad Hoc network. In addition, based on the group signature, authentication is also provided for nodes and packets during route discovery phase. Finally, route discovery includes key-agreement between source and destination in order to transfer data securely.

  • Connectivity and trust in social networks have been exploited to propose applications on top of these networks, including routing, Sybil defenses, and anonymous communication systems. In these networks, and for such applications, connectivity ensures good performance of applications while trust is assumed to always hold, so as collaboration and good behavior are always guaranteed. In this paper, we study the impact of differential behavior of users on performance in typical social network-enabled routing applications. We classify users into either collaborative or rational (probabilistically collaborative) and study the impact of this classification and the associated behavior of users on the performance of such applications, including random walk-based routing, shortest path based routing, breadth-first-search based routing, and Dijkstra routing. By experimenting with real-world social network traces, we make several interesting observations. First, we show that some of the existing social graphs have high routing costs, demonstrating poor structure that prevents their use in such applications. Second, we study the factors that make probabilistically collaborative nodes important for the performance of the routing protocol within the entire network and demonstrate that the importance of these nodes stems from their topological features rather than their percentage of all the nodes within the network.

  • The P2P file sharing system sends the results to users by searching the files in the shared folders. In the process of it, the problem is that the transferred information includes the pathname and file information and it can be revealed who searches which files. In related to this problem, anonymous file sharing P2P protocol has been an active research area where a number of works have been produced. However, the previous studies still have a few of weakness. Therefore, We propose two anonymous P2P file sharing protocols based on the decentralized and unstructured Random Walk. The first scheme uses the dynamic onion routing where the requester can receive the wanted file without knowing other peers' IDs. The second scheme uses the IP multicast method which lowers the computational overhead. Both of them are more suited for the dynamic P2P system.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient content sharing scheme for structured P2P overlay network. The main idea of this paper is to exploit the identified routing table instead of anonymous one using social relationships among nodes. The contribution of this paper is to present a means of mitigating the problem of 'free riding' and the threat of misrouting attack by malicious nodes.

  • In mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs), nodes are mobile in nature. Collaboration between mobile nodes is more significant in MANETs, which have as their greatest challenges vulnerabilities to various security attacks and an inability to operate securely while preserving its resources and performing secure routing among nodes. Therefore, it is essential to develop an effective secure routing protocol to protect the nodes from anonymous behaviors. Currently, game theory is a tool that analyzes, formulates and solves selfishness issues. It is seldom applied to detect malicious behavior in networks. It deals, instead, with the strategic and rational behavior of each node. In our study,we used the dynamic Bayesian signaling game to analyze the strategy profile for regular and malicious nodes. This game also revealed the best actions of individual strategies for each node. Perfect Bayesian equilibrium (PBE) provides a prominent solution for signaling games to solve incomplete information by combining strategies and payoff of players that constitute equilibrium. Using PBE strategies of nodes are private information of regular and malicious nodes. Regular nodes should be cooperative during routing and update their payoff, while malicious nodes take sophisticated risks by evaluating their risk of being identified to decide when to decline. This approach minimizes the utility of malicious nodes and it motivates better cooperation between nodes by using the reputation system. Regular nodes monitor continuously to evaluate their neighbors using belief updating systems of the Bayes rule.

  • Although progress in information technology has made our life prosperous. But it accompanied a number of adverse effects in various aspects. Especially, internet according to the increasing requirements for privacy and security, IP concealment network technologies to ensure the anonymity are constantly being developed. IP concealment network technologies is aiding the user to bypass the blocked sites can be used to access for information gathering, and they could be used for a malicious hacker to hide his attacks. However, due to complex routing path, local communication bandwidth sangyiham, and internode encryption there are also disadvantages that communication speed is significantly less. In this paper, the research for improving the performance of anonymous networks is to proceed by the communication speed measurement that using GeoIP the particular country with high-bandwidth is Specified or path length is limited.

  • Anonymity online has been an ever so fundamental topic among journalists, experts, cybersecurity professionals, corporate whistleblowers. Highest degree of anonymity online can be obtained by mimicking a normal everyday user of the internet. Without raising any flags of suspicion and perfectly merging with the masses of public users. Online Security is a very diverse topic, with new exploits, malwares, ransomwares, zero-day attacks, breaches occurring every day, staying updated with the latest security measures against them is quite expensive and resource intensive. Network security through anonymity focuses on being unidentifiable by disguising or blending into the public to become invisible to the targeted attacks. By following strict digital discipline, we can avoid all the malicious attacks as a whole. In this paper we have demonstrated a proof of concept and feasibility of securing yourself on a network by being anonymous.
