A 12-year-old thoroughbred mare with four days history of anorexia and high fever was submitted to the Equine Hospital. She failed to conceive in the following the breeding season in spring. In rectal palpation, mass could be palpable surrounding ovary. Because of the poor prognosis, full necropsy for mare was decided. The mass is located between right large and small colon, cranial to ovary using ultrasonography. Grossly, the mass was about $5{\times}3.5{\times}4cm$ in size, and the cut surface of mass showed brownish yellow in color with red-to orange granular areas Histopathologically, neoplastic cells were mixed with well differentiated spindle shape cells arranged in interlacing, interwoven pattern and poorly differentiated spindle cells. Neoplastic cells had abundant pink cytoplasm and bland and cigar-shaped nuclei with low mitotic figures. Many arteriole-like blood vessels with thick muscular wall were present throughout the mass. Masson's trichrome staining revealed muscle origin tumors in this case. Immunohistochemically, the neoplastic spindle cells showed positive reactions for smooth muscle actin and desmin. In our best knowledge, this is the first report of uterine angioleiomyoma in mare in Korea.

Leiomyoma is a type of benign smooth muscle neoplasm that is a common neoplasm of the uterus and gastrointestinal tract but rarely affects the head and neck region and is especially unlikely to affect the oral cavity. The diagnosis of leiomyoma is mainly determined by histopathological studies due to variation in its clinical appearance and symptoms. In the present paper we report two rare cases of gingival angioleiomyoma in the posterior maxilla and mandible. After total excision, hematoxylin-eosin and smooth muscle actin staining confirmed the diagnosis of angioleimyoma.

Cutaneous leiomyomas can be classified into three types according to the site of origin: piloleiomyoma, angioleiomyoma, and dartoic (genital) leiomyoma. It might be expected that leiomyomas are commonly found on the scalp because there are many arrector pili muscles and vessels. However, leiomyomas are actually rarely reported in the scalp. Recently, we observed a case of cutaneous leiomyoma in the scalp and present our experience along with a literature review.

The differential diagnosis of lesions in buccal area include lipoma, neurofibromas, epidermoid cyst, salivary ducts calculus, hemangioma, lymphadenopathy. Accessory parotid glands is defined as salivary gland tissue adjacent to the parotid duct, but separated from the body of parotid and it may be found in approximately 20% of human parotid glands. The appearance of an accessory parotid tumor is rare, with a reported frequency of 7.7% of all parotid neoplasm. Angiomyoma, which is also termed angioleiomyoma, is a rare solitary subcutaneous tumors arising from the vascular smooth muscle. It often occur in the extremities and is rarely found in buccal area. We present 2 cases of rare tumor in buccal mass and resected surgically without facial nerve palsy.

Angiomyoma is the vascular type of leiomyoma that the tumor cells are originated from vascular smooth muscle cells. It's frequently found in the subcutaneous tissues of the lower extremities. Such case of an angiomyoma within the oral cavity is rarely found. From a series of 7748 smooth muscle tumors of all types, only 0.06% were found in the oral cavity. This is a rare case of a young woman appeared with oral angiomyoma located in the left mandibular posterior region with plain radiograph, CT and histologic review.
