Best Practice on Inspecting the Abnormal State of Bridge (Engineering works) Establishment with Augmented Reality (AR) Mechanism

  • In the current world, with the massive scale of SOC construction, it is difficult to diagnose and check all of a bridge's abnormal states with even the experts' eyes for maintenance. It is because we should spend huge costs and time on maintenance. Still, there are not many alternative ways to inspect bridges remotely regarding accuracy or reality. Therefore, we remark on the advantages and disadvantages of previous methods through practices in SOC maintenance. To inspect the abnormal state of the Bridge, we suggest inspecting bridges with an Augmented Reality (AR) mechanism to reduce cost, human resource consumption, and the risk of work. Through the proposed approach, we expect that it provides ways to solve massive construction problems with software-based technologies.

  • To reduce the exterior noise level of EMU, there are several ways have been evaluated. The noise sources for the exterior noise level are the traction motor, driving gear and wheel/rail rolling noise. In this article, the ways to mitigate the noise issue for EMU have been investigated and especially the way to protect the noise radiation from the bogie area and wheel/rail rolling noise. The way to evaluate the effect of the side skirt has been reviewed. To install the side skirt, the interface between the side skirt and the carbody and bogie should be examined and the acoustic design of the side skirt will be evaluated.

2015 개정 교육과정에 따른 <수학II> 교과서의 정적분의 도입 및 활용 분석 (An analysis of the introduction and application of definite integral in textbook developed under the 2015-Revised Curriculum)

  • The students in secondary schools have been taught calculus as an important subject in mathematics. The order of chapters-the limit of a sequence followed by limit of a function, and differentiation and integration- is because the limit of a function and the limit of a sequence are required as prerequisites of differentiation and integration. Specifically, the limit of a sequence is used to define definite integral as the limit of the Riemann Sum. However, many researchers identified that students had difficulty in understanding the concept of definite integral defined as the limit of the Riemann Sum. Consequently, they suggested alternative ways to introduce definite integral. Based on these researches, the definition of definite integral in the 2015-Revised Curriculum is not a concept of the limit of the Riemann Sum, which was the definition of definite integral in the previous curriculum, but "F(b)-F(a)" for an indefinite integral F(x) of a function f(x) and real numbers a and b. This change gives rise to differences among ways of introducing definite integral and explaining the relationship between definite integral and area in each textbook. As a result of this study, we have identified that there are a variety of ways of introducing definite integral in each textbook and that ways of explaining the relationship between definite integral and area are affected by ways of introducing definite integral. We expect that this change can reduce the difficulties students face when learning the concept of definite integral.

  • Recently, Many studies have been undergoing to reduce a working time in a field of machine tool. There are two ways of reducing working time; to reduce actual working time by heighten spindle speed and to reduce stand-by time by shortening tool exchange time. Automatic tool change system belongs to the latter case. Fixed address type automatic tool change system that is being developed in this study can store more number of tool in small space than magazine transfer type automatic tool changer as well as shorten tool exchange time. In this paper, a simplified equivalent model of finite element method in order to analyze frame structure of fixed address type automatic tool change system is presented.

보리 엽록체의 전자전달과 광인산화 활성에 미치는 ${Zn}^{2+}$의 영향 (Effects of ${Zn}^{2+}$ on the Activities of Electron Transport and Photophosphorylation of Barley Chloroplasts)

  • ${Zn}^{2+}$이 엽록체의 광합성계에 미치는 영향을 구명코져 보리 엽록체를 사용하여 전자전달, 광인산화반응의 활성측정 및 전기영동에 의한 CP복합체의 안정성을 조사하였다. ${Zn}^{2+}$은 추출된 분리엽록체 조건에서 뿐아니라, 생육시 반응용액 조건에서도 전자전달, 특히, PS II의 활성을 저해하였으며, 이보다 광인산화활성을 더욱 더 크게 저해하였다. 전자전달능의 저해는 ${Mn}^{2+}$에 의하여 회복될 수 있었으며, 광인산화반응에서 ${Mg}^{2+}$${Zn}^{2+}$는 서로 기능상의 경쟁을 나타냈다. 한편 전기영동에서 CP I은 ${Zn}^{2+}$과 mercaptoethanol이 존재하면 쉽게 파괴됨을 볼 수 있었다.

저전력 캐쉬를 위한 웨이-라인 예측 유닛을 이용한 새로운 드로시 캐싱 기법 (New Drowsy Cashing Method by Using Way-Line Prediction Unit for Low Power Cache)

  • The goal of this research is to reduce dynamic and static power consumption for a low power cache system. The proposed cache can achieve a low power consumption by using a drowsy and a way prediction mechanism. For reducing the static power, the drowsy technique is used at 4-way set associative cache. And for reducing the dynamic energy, one among four ways is selectively accessed on the basis of information in the Way-Line Prediction Unit (WLPU). This prediction mechanism does not introduce any additional delay though prediction misses are occurred. The WLPU can effectively reduce the performance overhead of the conventional drowsy caching by waking only a drowsy cache line and one way in advance. Our results show that the proposed cache can reduce the power consumption by about 40% compared with the 4-way drowsy cache.

  • The main purpose of this study is to research ways for waste reduction in manufacturing, materials regeneration and clean production in apparel manufacturing in Taiwan, in order to achieve 3E: Efficiency, Economy and Environmental Protection. Specifically, this study hopes to address the following three areas: (1) To study the processing technologies which can turn apparel wastes to resources (2) To increase the efficiency in the use of energy and resources in apparel production (3) To establish a system for improving the recovery from unwanted apparel in Taiwan, in order to improve environmental protection and to reduce pollution.

  • In this paper, heatsink design for high power converter is presented. There are many ways of designing heatsink, but air cooling is by far the most used and much more practical than any of the other methods. In this paper, the practical methods of cooling which include the method to reduce a noise and a vibration due to a fan and the method to design a gap resistance and a contact resistance due to mounting force between thyristor and heatsink is proposed. Finally, simulation and experimental results are described to verify validity of the proposed method.

  • This project is designed with the aim to facilitate the farmer or gardener to engage in green house systems and to improve agricultural technology. In order to reduce continuous monitoring of the soil parameters, excess time consumption for the farmers and excessive usage of water, "Smart irrigation and temperature control for a greenhouse system" has been developed. There are two different ways to irrigate the land namely traditional irrigation methods and modern irrigation methods.
