Classification and Profiling of Bus Stops in Gyeong-gi Province on the Basis of Trip Chain Variables (통행연계 변수를 중심으로 한 경기도 버스정류장 유형 구분)

  • The current research aims at classifying the bus stops as transfer center in order to establish the rational bus transfer systems. Existing research typically identifies characteristics of demands for bus stops and land use surrounding the bus stops and classifies and profiles the bus stops. A common problem with this type of research is that the results with cross-sectional characteristics of land use and bus stop usage do not capture the details of trip chain, the fundamental characteristics of the trips with transfer. This paper therefore examines bus stop classifications with such variables as transport mode chains, intermediate stop chains and timing chains. The analysis on the data collected on Monday 20 April 2009 for passengers of Gyeong-gi bus results in a clear classification among bus stops in terms of such trip chain variables. The research would provide useful information for the decision support of transfer stops location choice and infrastructure design.

  • KAERI has been operating an integral effect test facility, ATLAS (Advanced Thermal-Hydraulic Test Loop for Accident Simulation), for accident simulations of advanced PWRs. Regarding integral effect tests, a database for major design basis accidents has been accumulated and a Domestic Standard Problem (DSP) exercise using the ATLAS has been proposed and successfully performed. The ATLAS DSP aims at the effective utilization of an integral effect database obtained from the ATLAS, the establishment of a cooperative framework in the domestic nuclear industry, better understanding of thermal hydraulic phenomena, and an investigation of the potential limitations of the existing best-estimate safety analysis codes. For the first ATLAS DSP exercise (DSP-01), integral effect test data for a 100% DVI line break accident of the APR1400 was selected by considering its technical importance and by incorporating comments from participants. Twelve domestic organizations joined in this DSP-01 exercise. Finally, ten of these organizations submitted their calculation results. This ATLAS DSP-01 exercise progressed as an open calculation; the integral effect test data was delivered to the participants prior to the code calculations. The MARS-KS was favored by most participants but the RELAP5/MOD3.3 code was also used by a few participants. This paper presents all the information of the DSP-01 exercise as well as the comparison results between the calculations and the test data. Lessons learned from the first DSP-01 are presented and recommendations for code users as well as for developers are suggested.

A Study on the Shear Bond Strength of Veneering Ceramics to the Lithium Disilicate (IPS e.max CAD) Core (Lithium Disilicate (IPS e.max CAD) 코어와 전장 도재 사이의 전단결합강도에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the shear bond strength between various commercial all-ceramic system core and veneering ceramics, and evaluate the clinical stability by comparing the conventional metal ceramic system. The test samples were divided into three groups: Ni-Cr alloy (metal bond), yttria-stabilized, tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (Y-TZP) (zirconia bond), lithium disilicate (lithium disilicate bond). The veneering porcelain recommended by the manufacturer for each type of material was fired to the core. After firing, the specimens were subjected to shear force in a universal testing machine. Load was applied at a crosshead speed of 0.50 mm/min until failure. Average shear strengths (mega pascal) were analyzed with a one-way analysis of variance and the Tukey test (${\alpha}$=0.05). The mean shear bond strength${\pm}$SD in MPa was $44.79{\pm}2.31$ in the Ni-Cr alloy group, $28.32{\pm}4.41$ in the Y-TZP group, $15.91{\pm}1.39$ in the Lithium disilicate group. The ANOVA showed a significant difference among groups (p<0.05). None of the all-ceramic system core and veneering ceramics could attain the high bond strength values of the metal ceramic combination.

  • Recently as the user experience's importance has been emphasized, there has been many tries of various research methodology in order to understand the user. Specially, as the political investigation method's user understanding method based on the statistical analysis so far has encountered a limit, there has been a continuous tendency to try to introduce a humanitarian or cultural anthropological methodology. As part of this effort, there has been many tries of various approach methods of the Ethnography which is the cultural anthropological typical research methodology, but among those the Diary Study Method is mentioned as one of the effective methodologies. Therefore this thesis applies the Diary Study Method to the notebook PC bundle SW's attitude research and tries a deep rooted research about the user attitude. Also centered to the project of understanding the notebook PC bundle SW's user receptivity. it shows a specific example of the Diary Study applied to the user understanding. Through this process, we will examine the summary about the Ethnography research method, and will discuss an effective research methodology by through the process of analyzing and deducting the user inclination by applying and designing the Diary Study to the project. That is to say, it was progressed by actually applying the research methodology through a specific case, with the purpose of breaking away from the textbook discussion and progress with an application aspect discussion. Through the current research, we will verify an active user-inclined process about the user's notebook PC SW, and it is expected to be useful in establishing a SW UX strategy and distribution related to the bundle software.

  • The rapid development of computer network technology has brought the Internet as the major infrastructure to our society. But the rapid increase in malicious computer intrusions using such technology causes urgent problems of protecting our information society. The recent trends of the intrusions reflect that the intruders do not break into victim host directly and do some malicious behaviors. Rather, they tend to use some automated intrusion tools to penetrate systems. Most of the unknown types of the intrusions are caused by using such tools, with some minor modifications. These tools are mostly similar to the Previous ones, and the results of using such tools remain the same as in common patterns. In this paper, we are describing design and implementation of attacker-traceback system, which traces the intruder based on the multi-agent architecture. The system first applied SOM to classify the unknown types of the intrusion into previous similar intrusion classes. And during the intrusion analysis stage, we formalized the patterns of the tools as a knowledge base. Based on the patterns, the agent system gets activated, and the automatic tracing of the intrusion routes begins through the previous attacked host, by finding some intrusion evidences on the attacked system.

The Design of Polynomial Network Pattern Classifier based on Fuzzy Inference Mechanism and Its Optimization (퍼지 추론 메커니즘에 기반 한 다항식 네트워크 패턴 분류기의 설계와 이의 최적화)

  • In this study, Polynomial Network Pattern Classifier(PNC) based on Fuzzy Inference Mechanism is designed and its parameters such as learning rate, momentum coefficient and fuzzification coefficient are optimized by means of Particle Swarm Optimization. The proposed PNC employes a partition function created by Fuzzy C-means(FCM) clustering as an activation function in hidden layer and polynomials weights between hidden layer and output layer. Using polynomials weights can help to improve the characteristic of the linear classification of basic neural networks classifier. In the viewpoint of linguistic analysis, the proposed classifier is expressed as a collection of "If-then" fuzzy rules. Namely, architecture of networks is constructed by three functional modules that are condition part, conclusion part and inference part. The condition part relates to the partition function of input space using FCM clustering. In the conclusion part, a polynomial function caries out the presentation of a partitioned local space. Lastly, the output of networks is gotten by fuzzy inference in the inference part. The proposed PNC generates a nonlinear discernment function in the output space and has the better performance of pattern classification as a classifier, because of the characteristic of polynomial based fuzzy inference of PNC.

Development of flood inundation area GIS database for Samsung-1 drainage sector, Seoul, Korea (서울 삼성 1분구에 대한 침수면적 GIS 데이터베이스 구축)

  • This study explains the GIS database of flood inundation area developed for Samsung-1 Drainage Sector, Seoul, Korea. The XP-SWMM dual drainage model was developed for the study area, and the time series observed at the watershed outlet was used to obtain the watershed time of concentration and to calibrate the XP-SWMM model. The rainfall scenario was developed by dividing the 40 minute watershed time of concentration into two 20-minute time steps and then applying the gradually increasing 5 mm/hr interval rainfall intensity to each of the time step up to 200 mm/hr, which is the probable maximum precipitation of the study area. The developed rainfall scenarios was used as the input of the XP-SWMM model to obtain the database of the flood inundation area. The analysis on the developed GIS database revealed that: (1) For the same increment of the rainfall, the increase of the flooded area can be different, and this was caused by topographic characteristics and spatial formation of pipe network of the study area; (2) For the same flooded area, the spatial extent can be significantly different depending on the temporal distribution of rainfall; and (3) For the same amount of the design rainfall, the flood inundation area and the extent can be significantly different depending on the temporal distribution of rainfall.

STUDIES OF OSSEOINTEGRATED IMPLANT-MODELS ON STRESS DISTRIBUTION (치과용 골유착성 임플랜트 고정체 형상의 응력 분산에 관한 연구)

  • Finite element analyses were performed to study effects on stress distribution generated in jaw bone for various shapes of dental implants: plateau type, plateau with small radius of curvature, triangular thread screw type in accordance with ISO regulations and square thread screw filleted with small radius partially. It was found that square thread screw filleted with small radius was more effective on stress distribution than other dental implants used in analyses. Additional analyses were performed on the implant with square thread screw filleted with small radius for very-ing design parameters, such as the width of thread end, the height of the thread of the implant and load direction, to determine the optimum dimensions of the implant. The highest stress concentration occurred at the region in jaw Pone adjacent to the first thread of the implant. The maximum effective stress induced by a 15 degree oblique load of 100 N was twice as high as the maximum effective stress caused by an equal amount of vertical load. Stress distribution was more effective in the case when the width of thread end and the height of thread were p/2 and 0.46p, respectively, where p is the pitch of thread. At last, using tensile force calculated from the possible insert torque without breading bone thread, finite element analysis was performed on the implant to calculate pre-stress when the primary fixation of the implant was operated in jaw bone. The maximum effective stress was 136.8 MPa which was proven to be safe.

  • High-speed trains have been developed widely in European countries and Japan in order to transport large quantity of people and commodities in short time. Additionally, a high speed train is one of the most desirable and environmentally friendly transportation methods. When a high speed train enters a tunnel, aerodynamic resistance is generated suddenly. This resistance causes micro pressure wave and discomfort to passengers. Due to this aerodynamic pressure against the train, a large amount of traction is required for the operation of a train in a tunnel. Therefore, it is essential to incorporate a pressure relief system in a tunnel in order to reduce aerodynamic resistance caused by a high-speed train. A pressure relief duct and a vertical shaft are representative measures in a tunnel. This study represents the effect of pressure relief ducts in order to alleviate positive and negative normal pressures acting on a train. One-dimensional numerical simulations were carried out in order to estimate the effect of pressure relief systems.

Evaluation of the Impact on Surrounding Groundwater of Waterway Tunnel Excavation and Cofferdam Construction (터널 굴착 및 가물막이 시공에 따른 주변 지하수계 유동분석)

  • This study is to quantitatively evaluate the impact on surrounding groundwater of waterway tunnel excavation and cofferdam construction in which A-dam and B-dam, so prediction of groundwater fluctuation and tunnel lining installation was studied. As a result, drawdown of groundwater level during tunnel excavation and cofferdam construction occurred about 3.58 m in the tunnel shaft. The initial condition of groundwater level recovered by up to 90 % was simulated after the completed the construction of the tunnel and lining installation. Groundwater inflow in the tunnel evaluated was analyzed to have exceeding water design criteria of the tunnel. The groundwater inflow is reduced to maximum $0.006m^3/min/km$ after lining installation done in the tunnel, so effect of lining installation was evaluated as 93 % or more. Drawdown of about 0.04~0.31 m occurs in the houses and temples analysis of groundwater system of the surrounding area from construction. Drawdown has occurred nearly by considering annual groundwater level fluctuation of National Groundwater Observation Network.
