The purpose of this study was to find out the residents' perceptive opinions of apartment housing environment and to contribute to develop a apartment unit plan in Daejeon City. This research was performed by a questionnaire survey method, 464 data was collected from apartment residents lived in about $85m^2$ unit with 3 rooms and the apartments was limited to the complexes within 3 years at Yuseong-gu and Seo-gu. By analyzing those data, findings are as follows: 1) Residents thought living room, kitchen and bathroom were importment space in a unit plan. They needed a storage function in an entrance and a intermediate room, and Anbang(materbed room) so did. L-DK plan type was very preferred. 2) Sub-kitchen was needed for a refrigerator of Kinch, the location of it was realted to a main kitchen and a uitility. the third room was needed for library, home office and storage space. 3) The enlargment remodeling of balcony was showed livingroom balcony or personal bedrooms at the time of occupancy. They needed the balcony near a kitchen or an utility to equip a storage facility. And residents were preferred to their taste rather than a choice of interior concept package services.

This study aims to propose appropriate evaluating method of noise emission from water supply and drain installations in apartment bathroom. Because KS(Korean Standard) about water installations noise in apartment bathroom only are establishing the measurement procedure of it, Evaluation and rating procedure is necessary to improve the sound insulation performance of the apartment and to reduce the apartment dweller's unsatisfaction with the noise. Thus, this study reviewed the standards and evaluating methods about the water supply and drain installations noise of many other country. We measured the noise emission from the installations in many apartment bathroom, and then we calculated the noises to dB(A), N, NC evaluated numbers. We analyze the coefficient of the corelation among the evaluated numbers to induce the appropriate method. As a result, the dB(A) method is most easy to evaluateing and very high corelated wth N and N index, So the dB(A) method is suitable to be adopted KS evaluating procedure of noise emission from water installations in apartment bathroom.

The co-operated residential form of the apartment has been with us for 30 years. The apartment is becoming the most popular form of residence, although there is still a few aspects of the apartment that need to be Improved. After the institution of the unrestrained house value in 1989 that started in Seoul, the main viewpoint of the suppliers the uniform characteristic idea has been adjusted to the various ideas and the viewpoint of the consumer. This has resulted in the prismatic composition of buildings, more stories, upgrading the quality of the design and a preference for wider space of the residence. In this study: (1) theplane surface of interior space and the design quality of the apartment from tile beginning of the 60s are considered. (2) The attribute of the apartment is grasped through analysis of the current (2002-2003) apartment within the country according to the various areas. The prediction of the future residential environment change is analyzed and as a consequence, the modification of the interior space is forecast and suggests the design trends of the apartment. I hope that this, investigation is helpful as it attempts to produce high quality residential space that reflects the harmony of technological development of the apartment and sentiment and emotion of the human being.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the architectural visual identity, and scheme of conceptional extent of architectural visual identity through literature research and sample analysis by design factors for apartment design. Korea National Housing Corporation's Mapo apartment put first caterer which is continued about 30 years to solve shortage of houses by beginning and the impact of IMF and the price decontrol on second half in the 1990s have changed the housing status to commercial goods. Construction companies have introduced brand concept to satisfy consumer's appetite in production of house goods including apartment under market situation. Importance of visual identity in apartment design occupies has risen in heftily. However most companies are in condition of stay on two-dimensional application that uses symbol, logotype, and character assistance. Several high position construction companies are trying architectural visual identity, but those are applied in partial element and those are not going forward to systematic classification and synthetic visual identity plan within peculiarity of apartment complex. This study is to grasp plan and design tendency to acquire identity of design element of construction field and goods through design examination. In conclusion visual identity in apartment design is architectural visual identity on all of 2 dimensions and 3 dimension for application. Architectural visual identity is a language of form that prescribe identity about external appearance in combination with brand image.

The brand is getting more important purchase factor in apartment market, so domestic construction companies have tried to differentiate it from others by creating the unique brand image. The purpose of this study was to investigate consistency of apartment brand image as a process which includes publicity, design and customer service and to analyze how using intergrated brand image affects brand preference and purchasing intention. To examine hypotheses, an empirical study using a survey questionnaire for residents living in 4 different brand apartments in Dongtan, Hwasung city was conducted. The collected data were treated with the SPSS Win Program 14.0. The study indicates that residents living in brand apartment generally preferred natural friendly image, high-class image and modern image to the others. And at first apartment brand images were created with image advertising on TV, catalog for sale and model house tour, but residents have most needs for customer service reflected in brand images. The study also has found that brand images in each process including publicity, design and customer service were not intergrated. However brand image intergration had positive effects on residential satisfaction and customer loyalty. The results of the study are expected to become the useful data in developing sustainable apartment brands and building effective marketing strategy of construction companies.

The number of patient with allergic asthma and atopy have increased in the cities of Korea steadily. In order to elucidate the primary factor, we investigated whether the house dust particles collected from an apartment of the middle classes has promoting effects of allergen-related airway inflammation and airway hyperresponsiveness. Mice were treated with 0.1 mL of 1 mg/mL of house dust particles suspension by intratracheal instillation once weekly for 10 weeks combined with ovalalbumin (OVA) sensitization. Intratracheal instillation of house dust particles and OVA sensitization caused an increase in the level of serum L-lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), immunoglobulun-E (IgE) and histamine, and an elevation in respiratory resistance. It also enhanced infiltration of eosinophils in the bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF) of mice, IgE and eotaxin expression in blood, and T helper type 2 cell derived cytokine levels such as of interleukin (IL)-4, IL-13 and IL-5 in the BALF. However, it did not influence T helper type 1 cytokine such as interferon-gamma in the BALF. These results indicate that house dust particles elevate allergen-related airway inflammation and airway hyperresponsiveness in mice and may play an important role in the aggravation of asthma and atopy in Korea.

Understanding the consumer changed life styles are integrated, mutual complement for user's worth and consciousness, the life of consumption, etc. Recently, Apartment Model House has built for distribute to Apartment house When they enter the units after 2 or 3 years. So, Interior designer make an inference from the changed life styles. But, We don't have enough information to trace the design trend about residential space design. Design database is correspond with interior space and structured entity relationship. There are three parts in this Database, Type, Elements and Relation information. Type are composed size, ages, style, and space, Elements are materials and space elements. Relation information are publishing, designer, exhibition, construction company, remodeling, Intoner design and User favorite styles are the development in web environment. This research supplies interior design information for Web environment and trend analysis supports collaboration with development of interior design information database.

This study intends to predict prospective defects and establish the plan of Preventive Maintenance through research and analysis of defect occurrences and their repair costs in the public equipment of ‘H’ apartment house from 1998 to 2001. According to results of the analysis, more than 90% of defects and their repair costs for 4 years of the building have occurred in heating, hot water and water supply equipments. In case of specific classification in each equipment, more than 60% of defects were found at hot water pipes and heating pipes, and their repair costs covered more than 60% of the total defect costs. After two repairs by ‘Preventive Maintenance’ had been performed in the year 1998, total defects and defects of each equipment each yew have increased in number from 1999 to 2001. But total repair costs and repair costs of each equipment have not increased as time has gone by, because repair costs have relationship with the price of materials and labor, the part of defect and the scale of repair.

The purpose of this study is to present a fundamental data for evaluating aircraft noise of building site development. By the field experiments and an predicted equal noise level contour using the INM program, actual condition in the building site development arranged district was investigated. In order to get the results, Analysis of factors effected on noise level, sound level on the rate of increase to aircraft demand and difference on the aircraft noise levels according to floor level in apartment house was carried out.
