후방산란신호에 의한 Rayleigh 파의 속도측정 및 비파괴검사 (The Measurements of Rayleigh Velocity and the Non-Destructive Evaluation by Using Backscattering Signal)

  • 본 연구에서는 Rayleigh 임계각 근처에서 발생하는 후방산란신호를 검출 함으로써 탄성매질에서 Rayleigh 파의 속도를 측정하였다. Rayleigh 각을 측정하기 위한 회전시스템을 제작하였으며 스테인레스, 황동, 알루미늄, 구리샘플에 대해서 측정된 속도는 이론값과 좋은 일치를 보였다. 후방산란신호에 의한 비파괴검사 방법을 제시하였으며 IC 샘플내부에 대한 c-scan 음향이미지를 나타내었다.

유제품 수송용 공융냉동판 적용 냉동차량 시스템 연구 (A Study on the refrigeration vehicle system installed eutectic solution plates for milk transportation)

  • The objective of this study is to developed the refrigeration vehicle system installed eutectic olu-tion plates which consists of copper tubes carrying the refrigerant between two aluminum plates and the space between the plates filled with eutectic solution. The numerical analysis for the loca-tion of plates to get the uniform low temperature distribution in storage space was carried out and the result showed that the top left-side and right-side walls were the proper places to install plates. For three different concentrations of ethylene glycol solution the temperature distribution of inside space were measured during the day time of summer and the 21% solution was found to be properto sustain the temperature of $5-10^{\circ}C$ for milk transportation. The result showed that the refrigeration truck installed eutectic plates was very efficient to keep the milk fresh during vehicle transportation.

  • This paper presents an experimental study and numerical thermal deformation analysis in the home appliance, Video Cassette Recorder. Analyzing the change axial force of a set screw according to the change of temperature in the drum assembly, we can determine the initial torque in tightening set screw. The torque will have the preload boss not be separated from the bearing. Also we conduct the fundamental experiment to constitute a boundary condition of the numerical analysis. With the result of this study, we can change the material of preload boss, copper, for aluminum.

  • Nonferrous metals have a very important position in industry. At present, parts of shipbuilding, automobile, and aircraft etc. are designed and manufactured accurately, simultaneity need light-weight and high-strength. Aluminum copper alloys are one kind of typical precipitation hardening alloy which has been widely used. It is interesting to investigate transformation behavior of precipitated phase in such kind of alloys under high magnetic field. Transformation of materials under high magnetic field is many different compared with conventional condition. The author prepared the Al-4%Cu alloy.

  • In the grinding of difficult-to-materials, the major problmes of conventional grinding are grinding burn, wheel wear, grinding surface crack, loading and glazing, When a conventioanl grinding wheel is used, wheel wear and grinding surface crack easily occur in low heat conductive material and annealed steel. Intermittent grinding is suitable for diffcult-to-matrical such as stainless steel, titanium alloy, aluminum alloy and copper alloy. The purpose of this paper is to develop a new type intermittent wheel of the grinding system for improving the problem of stainless steel grinding, to observe the effect of intermittent grinding on surface quality and grinding characteristics of stainless steel grinding using intermittent grinding wheel. The characteristics of intermittent grinding system improve surface quality, low grinding temperature and low loading.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop heat transfer analysis program of heat pipe elements and design a revolving heat pipe exchanger by the performance experiment of hot air production by means of middle-temperature waste heat. Experimental variables are the revolution per minute, normal velocity of inlet air and the temperature of waste heat. The revolving heat exchanger has designed as $2^{\circ}$ in inclination angle of heat pipe bundle and as 20% in working fluid quantity and as water in working fluid. Experimental value of the total heat transfer coefficient was $20w/m^2-^{\circ}C$

  • This paper presents the experimental investigation about miniature heat pipe for notebook PC. The focus of analysis is the operating temperature not to exceed $65^{\circ}C$ maximum allowable CPU surface temperature. Copper is used to heat pipe material and brass is wick material, and working fluid is selected to water. This cooling system is heat spreader method using a aluminum plate, since this method is most commonly used. According to the present study, heat for 3mm heat pipe, 8W, and for 4mm heat pipe, 10W, is found to power dissipation limit respectively, Soon after this investigation, sufficient long term life test should be followed.

  • Recently, the laser processing method has used as micro-machining technologies in industries of aerospace, electronics and automotive. The laser processing newly focused could be alternative to existing machining method. However, there are few practical results of research about the proper setting of the laser machining conditions and the laser machining characteristics for mechanical materials. The purposes of this study was to choose optimum machining conditions and to estimate the laser machining characteristics using taguchi experimental method for various mechanical materials that is S45C, Stainless steel, Aluminum, Copper, Titanium and Tungsten carbide. From obtained results, it was confirmed that optimum machining conditions could be found and laser machinability depends on thermal conductivity and hardness of workpiece.

  • Oxide etcher장비에서 실리콘 웨이퍼를 잡고 공정을 수행할 수 있는 단극 (unipolar) 형태의 E-chuck을 제작하였다. 단극 형태의 E-chuck을 개발하기 위하여 핵심기술인 폴리이미드 박막의 코팅기술과 알미늄 표면의 양극처리기술을 개발하였다. E-chutk은 폴리이미드 재료를 표면 물질로 사용하여 플라스마에 의한 표면 손상을 최소화하였다. Oxide etcher 장비에 사용되는 핵심 부품인 E-chuck의 제조 과정을 살펴보고 히터 내장형 E-chuck을 위한 박막형 전열체 기술을 개발하였다.

  • The high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steels have low carbon contents (0.05~0.25% C) in order to produce adequate formability and weldability, and they have manganese contents up to 1.7%. Small quantities of silicon, chromium, nickel, copper, aluminum, molybdenum are used in various combinations. The results contained in this paper can provide the valuable information on the development of $-40^{\circ}C$ low temperature HSLA. Furthermore, the present experimental data will provide important database for casting steel materials of the offshore structure.
