새로운 광중합법을 이용한 N-(phenyl)maleimide 단독 중합체 광폴리머 표면을 이용한 액정 배향 효과 (Liquid Crystal Alignment Effects on the New Homopolymerized N-(phenyl)maleimide Photopolymer Surface)

  • A new photoalignment material PFCPMI, poly[4-(fluorocinnamate)phenylmaleimide], was synthesized and the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) aligning capabilities on the photopolymer surface. The NLC pretilt angle generated by non-UV filter method on the PFCPMI surface was higher than that of the UV filter method. A good LC alignment by non-UV filter method was observed at $150^{\circ}C$ of annealing temperature. However, the alignment defect of the NLC by UV filter method was measured above $150^{\circ}C$ of annealing temperature. Consequently, the high pretilt angle and the good LC alignment in NLC using non-UV filter method can be acheived.

  • The control of high pretilt angle far nematic liquid crystal (NLC) with negative dielectric anisotropy on the rubbed blending polyimide (homeotropic and homogeneous alignment) surface were studied. High NLC pretilt angle generated on the blending polyimide (homeotropic polyimide and SE-7492 surface was measured and the NLC pretilt angle increases with blending ratio and rubbing strength. However, the NLC pretilt angle generated on the blending polyimide (homeotropic polyimide and SE-150 surface was not varied. The high pretilt angle the NLC using blending polyimide surface can be acheived.

  • We studied the nematic liquid crystal (NLC) aligning capabilities using the new alignment material of diamond like carbon (DLC) thin film. A high pretilt angle of about $4^{\circ}$ was measured by ion beam(IB) exposure on the DLC thin film surface. A good LC alignment was observed by the IB alignment method on the DLC thin film surface at annealing temperature of $200^{\circ}C$, and the alignment defect of the NLC was observed above annealing temperature of $220^{\circ}C$. Consequently, the high NLC pretilt angle and the good thermal stability of LC alignment can be achieved by the IB alignment method on the DLC thin film surface.

  • Aligning capabilities for nematic liquid crystal (NLC) using a in-situ photodimerization method on various photo-crosslinkable polyimide (PI) based polymer and blending photopolymer surfaces were stuided. High pretilt angle of the NLC can be measured by obliquely polarized UV exposure on a photo-crosslinkable polyirnide based polymer surface containing biphenyl (BP), decyl (de), and cholesteryl (chol) group, respectively, However, the low pretilt angle of the NLC was measured by obliquely polarized UV exposure on the blending photopolymer (PI and cinnamate materials) surfaces. Consequently, the pretilt angle of the NLC generated on the photo-crosslinkable polyimide based polymer surfaces using the in-situ photodimerization method was higher than that of the blending photopolymers.

Bilingual Multiword Expression Alignment by Constituent-Based Similarity Score

  • This paper presents the constituent-based approach for aligning bilingual multiword expressions, such as noun phrases, by considering the relationship not only between source expressions and their target translation equivalents but also between the expressions and constituents of the target equivalents. We only considered the compositional preferences of multiword expressions and not their idiomatic usages because our multiword identification method focuses on their collocational or compositional preferences. In our experimental results, the constituent-based approach showed much better performances than the general method for extracting bilingual multiword expressions. For our future work, we will examine the scoring method of the constituent-based approach in regards to having the best performance. Moreover, we will extend target entries in the evaluation dictionaries by considering their synonyms.

  • This paper proposes a common-mode voltage reduction method base on SVPWM(Space-Vector Pulsewidth Modulation) in three phase PWM converter/inverter system. By shifting the active voltage vector of inverter and aligning this to the active vector of converter, it is possible to eliminate a common-mode voltage pulse in one control period. Since the proposed PWM method maintains the active voltage vector, it does not affect the control performance of PWM converter/inverter system. Without any extra hardware, overall common mode voltage dv/dt and conrresponding leakage current can be reduced to two-third of the conventional three phase symmetric SVPWM scheme.

  • 본 논문은 표현 패턴(expression patterns)을 이용한 한국어-영어 기계 번역 방법에 대하여 논의한다. 표현 패턴은 한국어-영어 기계 번역을 위하여 의미적이고 표현적인 관점에서 한국어 표현에 적합한 영어 표현을 대응하여 정의하였다. 그리고 새로운 한국어 파싱 방법을 개발할 것을 제안하였다. 한국어 파싱 방법은 한국어의 교착어로서의 특징, 표현 패턴 개념, 문장 분할 개념, 그리고 파싱 과정에 의미 구조를 포함하는 개념 등을 포함하여 개발할 것을 주장하였다. 논문의 마지막 부분에는 간단한 한국어 문법을 정의하여 새로운 한국어 구문 분석 방법의 가능성을 제시하였다.

  • In this work, we developed an equipment for automatic quality control of fuel pump motor using vibration analysis. The equipment automatically performs a series of tasks such as aligning and conveying the motor, attachment/detachment of an accelerometer, data acquisition, vibration analysis, and classification, etc. Compared to previous manual operations, the developed system is able to provide considerable savings in both time and cost.

10-V 조셉슨접합 어레이의 제작 및 특성 (Fabrication and Characteristics of 10-V Josephson Junction Array)

  • 10-V Josephson junction array arranged in 8 parallel stripline paths was fabricated using self-aligning and reactive ion etching techniques. These techniques were introduced in detail with aim of obtaining high-quality junctions. The array has 18,184 Josephson junctions with the area of $12\mu\textrm{m}$$\times$$38\mu\textrm{m}$. The gap voltage and minimum critical current density were about 2.7 ㎷ and /$23 A\textrm{cm}^2$, respectively. And the critical current density and leakage current at 5 volt were about 27 $A/\textrm{cm}^2$ and $5\mu\textrm{A}$, respectively When operated in the frequency range of 76-88 ㎓, the away generated constant voltage steps up to 14-19 V. The step size near 10-V was more than 7 $\mu\textrm{A}$.

롤 운동을 고려한 차량의 정상상태 선회주행에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Steady-State Cornering of a Vehicle Considering Roll Motion)

  • In this study, the steady state cornering behavior of a vehicle is investigated by using a numerical model that has parameters associated with roll motion. The nonlinear characteristics of tire cornering forces and aligning torques are presented in analytical forms using the magic formula. The sets of nonlinear algebraic equations that govern the cornering motion are solved by the Newton-Raphson iteration method. The vehicle design parameters are measured by SPMD(Suspension Parameter Measuring Device), and its results are verified by carrying out a skid pad test. The design parameters that are most affecting the steady state cornering behavior are classified into four factors, and the contributions of the factors to understeer gradient are then calculated.
