  • An Airport is important space and even stands for the country because diverse people from other countries use a variety of facilities in the gateway to the country. Therefore, It is urgent for those people to increase efficiency and convenience of its usage and also. It's worth accumulating those know-how and technologies. In this situation, Incheon International Airport aiming to be a hub of north-east Asia need to focus more on restructuring general process of passenger's travel based on PI perspectives then simply improving a process of passenger's travel and have been trying to realize the process based on Innovation perspectives with following precess innovation consisting 5 steps And to conclude, this study will help Incheon International Airport to be innovative in a system of passenger's travel service related to a utility of airport and then achieve a hub Airport of North-East Asia.

항공서비스와 공항서비스의 대기환경이 지각된 대기시간과 서비스만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Waiting Environment of Airline Service and Airport Service on Perceived Waiting Time and Service Satisfaction)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to prove that the effect of waiting environment on perceived waiting time and service satisfaction of airline service and airport service procedure. Methods: Survey was conducted by questionnaires that were distributed to international airlines passengers. Survey data were collected 276 copies from 300 copies then analyzed using factor analysis and multi-regression analysis. The measurements of airline service procedure were divided by airlines service and airport service. Airline service segregated as before boarding and after boarding then airport service can be separated before boarding and after deplane by service procedure. Results: According to result, hypotheses were partially accepted. Human environment and Physical environment of airport service before boarding and after deplane were accepted. However perceived waiting time had effect on service satisfaction both airline and airport services. Thus some of variables are correlated among waiting environment. Acceptability as moderating variable has differences on high acceptable group and low acceptable group. Though waiting and delay were caused by controllable or uncontrollable reasons, there are certain negative feeling on waiting and delay on physical environment of airline service. Especially controllable delay and waiting are more negative than uncontrollable reasons. Conclusion: Some suggestions that given from researcher should be implemented to the airline industry to reduce perceived waiting time specially airport service procedure academically and practically.

ESG경영과 안전경영 그리고 경영성과의 구조적 관계 : 지역 공항을 중심으로 (Structural Relationship between ESG Management and Safety Management and Business Performance : Focused on Regional Airport)

  • Purpose While research on ESG management in airlines is ongoing, research on airports, especially regional ones, remains insufficient. This study's point of departure is the inquiry into how the local airport industry is addressing global environmental shifts and engaging in ESG management activities. Design/methodology/approach Based on previous studies, the relationship between ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) management, safety management, reputation, and management performance was analyzed. We analyzed 578 questionnaires through structural equation modeling using AMOS 21.0 to test our hypotheses. Findings First, environmental, social, governance, and safety management have a positive effect on both reputation and business performance. Second, reputation has affected business performance. Third, reputation was affected in the order of governance management, safety management, environmental management, and social management.

중국공항들의 성장전략과 민영화: 인천국제공항에 대한 시사점 (Growth Strategy and Privatization of Chinese Airports: Implications for IIAC)

  • 이 연구는 중국의 공항 중 인천의 허브화 전략의 경쟁공항인 베이징공항(수도), 상하이공항(푸동)을 대상으로 지분매각, 지배구조, 공항운영 및 시설확충 등에 관한 사례를 분석한다. 세계 주요공항의 전략적 허브화 경쟁이 가속화되면서, 인천공항은 급변하는 경영환경에 대처하고 무한경쟁에서 생존하기 위하여 경영 패러다임의 전환이 시급하다. 그 일환으로 공항에 대한 대내외적 혁신요구에 적극 대응하는 새로운 소유구조와 지배구조 및 운영효율화 방안을 모색하여야 한다. 공항의 일반적인 민영화 방안에는 기업거래(trade sale), 기업공개(IPO), 영업허가, 경영위탁, 프로젝트 파이낸싱의 5가지가 있다. 세계 공항산업의 동향과 함께 중국의 경쟁공항의 민영화와 관련하여 지분매각 및 이후의 지배구조에 초점을 맞추어 인천공항의 일부 지분매각과 지배구조, 공항개발 및 운영 등의 주요 의사결정에 대한 시사점을 도출한다. 인천공항이 동북아허브로서 성장하기 위해서는 공항시설 확충을 위한 재원을 조달하여야 하며, 운영 효율성의 강화가 필요하다. 공공성의 보장을 위해 공기업 형태를 유지하되, 민영화의 장점을 살리기 위해, 정부가 51% 이상의 지분을 보유하는 부분 민영화를 하되, 기업 가치를 극대화하기 위해 기업거래와 기업공개를 함께 활용하되 전략적으로 그 속도와 시기를 결정하여야 한다.

The 21st Century's Global Hub: Inchon International Airport

  • Inchon International Airport (IIA) is one of many new airports being constructed in the Asia Pacific region. IIA is located at the center of Northeast Asia connecting 43 major cities within 3.5 hour flight. With the sate-of-the-art airport facilities, IIA will also have the diverse functions of a modern airport for international business, where airport users can work and relax at the same time. It will be built for the multifunction of Pentaport - Airport, Businessport, Teleport, Seaport and Leisureport. IIA will be a leading hub airport for Northeast Asia in the coming 21st century. This paper will focus on the development plan for Inchon International Airport and its current status.

  • Analyzing the economic effects of establishing an airport in Chongju community, the authors have studied how much the new international airport will impact regional society and what the critical factors are for successful airport. We researched several foreign case studies and analyzed surveyed data in order to find out what dimensions passengers expect to feel good service. The findings have many implications for service theory and managers in airport management.

국제공항 서비스품질 측정도구 개발에 관한 연구(인천 및 김포국제공항을 대상으로) (A Study of Developing the Evaluation Tools of International Airport′s Service Quality in Korea)

  • It has been regarded as important in both academic and practical issues how to evaluate service quality. In addition international traveling will be growing due to increasing income and globalization. Thus, it is very important to measure the international airport's service quality properly. This study was conducted to identify the service quality factors which are utilized to measure international airport's service quality. According to the statistical analyses' results of this study, seven service quality factors and thirty two measurement items were found to evaluate international airport's service quality. They are some different from those which PZB(1988b) identified to measure service quality. This result implies that it is necessary to find the service quality factors reflecting the unique characters of the service organization when measuring service quality of a service organization.

It is unique and differential characteristics to Facilitation and increase passenger's satisfaction. u-Information HUB system unified stakeholder's process of Facilitation in Air Traffic Sides. u-Information HUB system gets the highest state of efficiency to Facilitation.   • This study develops a improved gate assignment algorithm and decision support system using its algorithm to extract a assignment result minimizing a walking distance of passengers in airport and maximizing the utilization rate of avaliable gates in domestic airports. By operation support system, it may contribute greatly in efficient enlargement of airport operation and increase the airport reliability through quickly coping with takeoff and landing delay of flight due to weather change, preservation and repair of gate, etc. Also, passengers who use airport terminal can minimize time and walking distance for departure, arrival, and transit, and it may greatly reduce the additional operation cost for common gates through maximizing the utilization rate for exclusive usage gates for airplanes which use gates.

  • 본 논문에서는 인천공항 Airside와 Landside에 위치한 자산의 효율적인 관리를 위한 사물인터넷(IoT) 기반 스마트 자산관리 시스템의 구성과 실증을 제시한다. IoT기반 스마트 자산관리시스템은 위치정보를 생성하는 IoT 태그와 게이트웨이, 수집된 위치정보를 수신하고 표출하는 서버로 구성되어 있으며, IoT 태그를 자산에 부착하여 자산의 실내외 위치정보를 자산관리 시스템에서 실시간으로 확인할 수 있다. 실내 위치정보는 BLE(Bluetooth Low Energy)를 통해 취득하며, 실외 위치정보는 GPS와 LoRa(Long Range)를 통해 취득 가능하다. 개발한 시스템의 성능 검증을 위해 인천공항 제1여객터미널 내 기설치된 AP를 활용하였으며, 공항 전역을 커버할 수 있는 LoRa Gateway를 설치하였다. 개발한 자산관리 시스템은 공항이 보유한 자산의 도난 방지 등 효율적인 관리 와 공항운영에 기여할 것으로 예상된다.
