  • Most concrete is recently made of an aggregate which is properly absorbed, and carried in it according to its capability at every fields. We have been close to demand new capability of high flowing and enduring for specific concretes. That is difficult to cope with claiming the efficiency on deterioration from lack of a high Quality aggregate. Therefore, For solving the problems we apply to method of packaged dry combined materials for concrete using dried materials. That is to say that it is a kind of making into an instant. In this study, There is a purpose to present fundamental data, comparing and analyzing a phenomenon of aggregate's absorption following the rate of adding water, for using existing materials.

  • This study investigated the properties of lightweight foamed concrete by using synthetic foaming agent and artificial lightweight aggregate. The effects of artificial lightweight sizes on the compressive strength, density and pore structure of the concrete were investigated. The samples were assessed by MIP analysis and simultaneous SEM was used to study their pore distribution. This study showed the improvement of important properties of lightweight foamed concrete. Lower pore distribution and correspondingly higher compressive strength values were reached. This is for the purpose of providing basic data for the use of lightweight foamed concrete through improvement on the problem such as unstability, falling in fluidity and the strength of existed foaming agent.

  • The distinguished geological characteristic of Taegu area is consist of anisotropic shale or sedimentary rock. Therefore if rocks are used for construction, it would've some difficulties of reuse showing the aspect of resource engineering. We made physical and mechanic properties for rock discrimination and then whether it had utilization worth or not. So we studied the engineering propriety through the aggregate tests based on rock's in laboratory. The last passed aggregate were D, E and B1 at KS and the rest couldn't use the place where weather phenomenon is caprice. This sis for base-line data of aggregate development research before the porpriety investigation for aggreagte of excavated rock in Taegu area.

  • The non-destructive tests are widely used to predict the strength of existing structures. The purpose of the present study is to propose the prediction equations for strength evaluation of concrete structures. The present study focuses on the rebound method and ultrasonic pulse velocity method for quartzite aggregate concrete. The major test variables include the water-cement ratio and curing methods. The water-cement ratio are 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.7, respectively and the curing method covers ail-dry condition and standard curing condition. The prediction equations for strength of concrete are proposed from the present test data.
